You're wrong about the cameras. Even on your displayed pictures, Apple is over saturated and not as sharp as the Samsung. Hands down win for the Samsung. Opinion coming from a professional photographer.

💯 you nailed it. For all the “on paper” advantages the Samsung has, IPhone is better overall. Camera performance irl looks better. Apple’s chip is faster, idn 10 different ways to customize everything. Both batteries last all day. If you like IOS, the 12 pro max is the best buy. If you don’t like IOS get the notebook and wait for the next gen flagship.

I made the switch from iPhone to Samsung today and I must say I absolutely love the S21 Ultra 5G its so customizable so sleek and the video recording! you would think the phone was mounted on a gyro stabilizer. It was a tough choice between the pro max but I'm glad 😌 I went with the Ultra for my specific requirements.

@@splosh2070 the seamless continuity for one. I can have my phone in another room while working on my laptop and when my phone rings my MacBook rings as well. So I can receive or make calls (texts) from multiple devices (which is a convenience you don't know you'll appreciate until you use it). I use an iPhone, MacBook, and an iPad. Also making simultaneous calls from one (my main cell #)comes in handy too. Without making my response too long...this is the biggest feature in the ecosystem I like.

cause theyre worthless. i have galaxy watch 2 and its utter garbage. will definitely switch to apple this time... love how samsung markets longer battery life than apple watch, yet when you realize its cause samsung watches only check your heart rate every 10 min by default and apple does it real time this is pretty big reason for it... if you enable all the features apple watch has on by default also on galaxy watch, the battery life is much shorter on samsung watches.

Definitely wrong in a few points but some things are slightly more subjective than others.
But as I always say really and this is not subjective but objective. The better phone is the S21 Ultra, better hardware in almost every category, and works amazing with the high-end chipsets (snapdragons) even if The A chip series from Apple is more powerful, etc.
When you buy the S21 Ultra, you really buy it for the phone itself whereas buying an iPhone is mostly because of the ecosystem and the brand itself and honestly not the phone itself for the most part.
Then it's just more subjective as for what you like the most, the ecosystem from Apple which is the best overall out there and works flawlessly with years of updates or you want the best specs and value out of the phone itself with the latest tech.
I mean it must be pretty obvious at this point that if you want the best flagship out there, you have to go with the S21 Ultra. Of course, ecosystem and brand biases mean that many still view the iPhone as being "as good or better", but in terms of the crucial aspects such as display, battery life, cameras (based on most direct comparisons), the Samsung wins.
As someone who was an iPhone user until my latest phone (OnePlus 7 pro), I didn't see any intangible thing that puts apple magically ahead of its competitors.
This comparison is completely subjective. Just her opinion and her likes without stating the facts of both gadgets.

I've had my s21 ultra for 3 months and I'll proudly say this is an iPhone killer, especially with the camera functionalities, the ability to simultaneously use the selfie camera and rear cameras is awesome 👌

Had S21U since launch date. The astrophotography on it is absolutely insane. When I get the time I'll be building a camera mount for it. Got the S-Pen case and the only different from my last Note device is the camera remote control but the stylus is absolutely awesome.

Where on android eg Samsung your phone works very effectively on Windows pcs but they aren't Samsung so it requires a initial set up .
Most my family are apple users and I switched to android after iPhone 4 ish.
I think the problem with Samsung or android eco systems is they have a lot of products in the ecosystem that just aren't very good.
Apple create all their hardware to high standards where Samsung might take a few attempts after releasing it before its better or level with quality of apple ,this means the ecosystem is just as good but not all products in the ecosystem are great

Dynamic range is better on the iphone in normal video and even on hdr since the iphone can shoot in Dolby vision and the samsung cant. Stabilisation is way better on the iphone because they used a new technology available in dslr pro cameras that make the sensor move plus the Ai stabilisation. More camera doesnt mean better image quality the 2 extra cameras that the samsung has are for 10+ zoom and the maximum that 80% of people use is 5x time zoom so its useless. I dont need to divide my screen phone in 3 parts its not that big of a deal. I already have my ipad and my pc desktop to work on so a so divide on a little 6 inch phone screen is not important for me. I dont mind 120hz its a cool feature but honestly ios is smooth enough

Generally, I really like your vids and find them informative. However, this one felt a bit bias to your own liking of apple, and a bit of a reach in some areas. Samsung dex is on another level when it comes to eco systems. This was also the 1st review I have seen where apple tied the S21 for design. Also, the lack of mentioning the screen dimming issue on the iPhone when it gets too hot. This has a huge impact on people who game on their phones. The camera on the S21 Ultra is significantly better too, with the inclusion of the 3x and 10x optical zoom. It also shoots 8k video.

samsung been doing the air drop feature since the note 8 it wasnt called nearby share.. also you can use any pc with samsungs and get your messages phone calls or whatever else u doing with samsung dex or my phone
You've left out the intergration with Windows and XBOX.
What did you expect from a person who included "heating issues" as one of the pros.
With samsung flow and your phone app you can send files, clipboard sync and use apps in windows pc.

I have used both android and apple over the years but have been a dedicated iPhone user for the last 5 years. I recently decided to upgrade my phone and couldn’t decide between the two. I’m so used to the iPhone that I was nervous about switching but I film, do a lot of social media blogs etc and so the ultra seemed to be more built for that. So I went with the ultra. I haven’t received it yet, still waiting. But this video eased my worries. There not much different and though the iPhone takes better still photos, I use the video feature more. Thank you so much. I feel better about my purchase

Did you try customizing the sound for your hearing range(s) on the Ultra? Makes a big difference depending on your age and hearing capability. You can also customize the sound output on the Ultra depending on what type of audio you use most (music, voice, etc). For those with hearing loss in certain ranges, Ultra has a hearing test to help maximize sound output for the ranges in which your hearing is weakest.
Yup! I was thrilled to find that that utility also exists on my Samsung tablets. Still learning new things!

I have both the S21 ultra and the iPhone 12 pro max. The speakers are slightly better on the iPhone but by a tiny margin and hardly noticeable, certainly not as much as suggested here.
I've also had problems when recording video on the iPhone when it changes between cameras. The iPhone is also pretty boring when it comes to customization with all iPhone looking pretty much the same. You can really go to town with the S21 ultra and truly make it unique.
With photos the iPhone can't shoot full screen (edge to edge). On the S21 Ultra, and most Android phones, you can shoot photos in the full screen aspect ratio for super wide photos. Kills the iPhone in this respect. And the zoom on the Samsung can't be beat.
Haptics also feel more intense on the S21 Ultra and more system wide. However it's the display on the S21 Ultra that truly crushes the 12 pro Max. It looks amazing and makes everything on screen look better.
The iPhone does feel more utilitarian in its operation but it does do most things well. It's a quality professional orientated device but can be a tad boring. The S21 Ultra on the other hand is just more fun to use and so feature rich. I'm really loving Android 13 and OneUi 5.
I think both phones are closely matched but in 2023 you can buy a good used S21 Ultra far cheaper than a 12 Pro Max so considering the cost the S21 Ultra is the better bet.
For the best look get the S21 Ultra with the Samsung leather cover. Awesome combination. Look out for my video review comparing these devices...coming soon.
S21 ultra for the new updated changes, so many more features that's not in this video. Best value for your money. I'm switching from the boring google pixel hardware. Iphone's ecosystem is actually why you don't want an iphone. They can do no changes and charge anything and people are forced to buy and they will buy. Still the same bezels, notch, etc.

This is so strange, every other reviewers i've watched said the sound quality is much better on the samsung!
Thats where i find it wrong too. And i actually listened to both phones practically in real life and samsung is much much better in every aspect of sound.

I take the S21 Ultra. I have often experienced that when you buy an iPhone, you also buy into their eco system. Since I have neither a MacBook Pro, an iPad or airpods anymore, I feel that you are paying more the design than the functionality. So S21 Ultra it is for me.

Thanks for the video. Have you explored the natural vs bright cam mode options in samsung - does that make a difference in how they compare to the iphone portrait mode? As a nerd mom of 2 kids , the s21 ultra tech specs are tempting but I don't want to think too much when capturing pics and videos of my kiddo. Also on windows machines and worried about adapting to the apple ecosystem.

I think the point system is much more about keeping track of stuff than actually declaring an absolute winner, and she did say it was a really small advantage, but that also aplies to battery life issues, so i guess it should be more about weighing the options, see what is more important to you and whatch more than 1 review because if i'm spending $1000+ on anything i better be sure.

Great video. One thing though - ecosystem. With a Samsung tablet you can literally do anything you could do with an iPhone/ ipiad and the same for Galaxy Watch. Then with Windows Link built into Samsung you have a total connection for everything in a total ecosystem not to mention Dex so I actually think Samsung and Apple are at least tied here if not in Samsung's favor due to Dex!

U forgot a very feature on the Samsung S21 ultra that iPhone 12 max doesn't have. Wireless charging. Very important feature
Also, when gaming, samsung able to stay in high fps although its hot while iphone going dim when it comes hot.. but both of this phone still doing well

I have Mac Book Pro and a Ipad Pro, but I have the S21 Ultra. The feature set on the S21 for me is more practical and the addition of the S Pen is a winner.
I love iPhones, my 12 pro rocks, and this really pains me to say, but Samsung have embarassed the hell out of apple this year, I really don't want to buy one but if apple don't sort out their 'really not good enough' cameras and poor refresh rate then I think I may have to switch next year

Yh samsung is better and more brilliant cause they bring out all the tech on their smartphones and on all their smart devices also . Apple know samsung is their biggest competitor and their still rocking 4k with 12 mp like it's their birth right while samsung using 8k.
