Regarding the market sales, Apple spends a lot more on advertising than any other manufacturer. They've managed to convince the masses that their phone is the standard and anything else is an alternative. They're especially popular among the less tech savvy who don't research and just go by what their friends say such as the elderly population.

Don't you love it when Samsung's budget phone, the A series has 120hz while Apple locks it behind their "Pro" paywall.

I have been using both Samsung and Apple phones for many years, tbh i love both of them. I own the S22 Ultra and Iphone 13, what stands out to me for Samsung is the amazing screen display, the curved screen, the customisation with their OneUI (it makes everything so seamless, smooth and sleak) and the wide variety of widgets. Just the customisation itself brings along of fun and joy, thus the samsung phones has always been my personal phone. Iphone is best meant for corporate usage in my humble opinion, they are idiot-proof, user-friendly, and stable. I like both of them but to me, Samsung has to be the winner. I have been hoping iphone to be more creative year after year, but they are just producing pretty much the same thing albeit some new features or upgrades, just packaging it differently. Iphone is strong in branding and people have relate them closely to a luxurious status symbol. Both are good IMO but if you are young and would prefer something fun and awesome, you should definitely give Samsung a go!

4/ Dual app mode ( Same app but 2 account logged )
5/ Widget on iOS are more esthetic but have less utility
6/ the same app can be free on Android but you have to pay on iOS ( it happens sometimes)
7/ You can’t place your app on your homescreen like you want, everything has to be in line contrary to Android

Due to multitasking options and customizations capability of the Samsung, I prefer that one as my daily driver. However, I also have the Iphone 8 max which I also use more for dependability of certain apps. But the Samsung is just plain fun and interesting like driving a Porshe (in terms of exhilarating ride and may come with some hiccups sometimes) and Apple is like driving a Camry (you will always know that you can get from A to B but may not be the most thrilling or offer a variety of options).

Comparing these two pieces of hardware and saying the Samsung is better is one thing, but the OS plays a huge part. As an iPhone user, I don't deny that the Samsung phones are great pieces of hardware, but I feel that iPhones have an advantage because Apple designs both the hardware AND the OS. This allows for much optimisation which is often why an iPhone with lower specs is able to outperform an Android phone. I love the experience of the way the Hardware and Software work seamlessly together and add to this the way the ecosystem works... It is amazing.
That being said, I don't feel Apple is for everyone. There is no such thing as a best phone for everyone. Just the best phone for your taste.

To me iPhone loses only in the OS. With ANDROID I can install any app from an APK file, if you don't like a new version of an app I can return to an older version. I can install different app stores such as AMAZON App Store, Aurora store etc. My SAMSUNG S2 runs on ANDROID 12, yes that's 11 year old phone running the latest software, once you unlock your device you can get unlimited updates with custom roms independently of your phone manufacturer, what can you do with iPhone 4 in 2022? Also IOS is like a kid's toy it aint like a real operating system, it doesn't allow you to do anything, modify the os, the kernel it's soo closed that I feel like I'm in prison. I can even switch the os, for example I can install Ubuntu Touch and delete the ANDROID totally. Otherwise I like the iPhone 13 design.

My battery life sucks compared to my last phone, Huawei 3600 battery which I used heavily for 4 years.
Now, I’ve only had the s22 ultra for 2 days and I have battery saver turned on, but it still depletes way faster than any mobile phones I ever used before. Especially when the screen is turned off, I see no reason why the battery to be losing so fast. Location, wifi, bluetooth, etc is all turned off, but when I wake up in the morning it has lost more than 30% overnight while my old phone would lose 5% at most.
Day time, I have to charge twice a day if I drain my battery all the way. I would have to charge multiple times a day as it takes get 5 hours going from 100% to 0, with relatively light or moderate usage. Still couldn’t eek out more than 4hours with bluetooth on, wifi all day.
Other than the abnormal battery draining, the phone is great but soon the battery health will be degraded real soon having to charge my phone more often than normal.
I am extremely unhappy with this after spending the most expensive phone. This is totally disappointing.

Please don’t take this comment as I’m an android hater because i’m not. Apple and android are both great in their own ways. But Here are my reasons why I prefer iPhone over android. NOTE: any features I mention are not done through third party apps nor jailbreaking or rooting the phone. I’m talking about all STOCK FEATURES….
    1. iMessage. It’s so flawless and intuitive the with the general effects and the way you can send money, play games vs people far away, etc. And it’s something about the blue bubble instead of green. Lol. Fandroids might mention what’s app or fb messenger or whatever but those are third party apps not stock features.
    2. Longer support (Apple curbed the slowing down issue it brought after being sued). Apple supports their devices longer with OS updates (5-6 years opposed to 2-4 years on android). Here is my case and point… the galaxy s6 (which was released in 2015) stopped receiving OS updates after 2017 (so they’ll be missing new features). The iPhone 6s (also released in 2015) is still supported by the current iOS 15 here in 2022.
    3. Wi-Fi Password Sharing. This keeps your personal password to yourself. If someone comes to your house who has an iPhone/Apple device and tries to connect to your Wi-Fi, your phone will get a notification giving you the option to either connect the person or decline them. If you wanna be courteous and connect them, you can do so WITHOUT ACTUALLY GIVING THEM YOUR WI-FI PASSWORD which is more secure, where as on android, you have to GIVE them the password (whether it’s a custom password or you have to get the password off the back of the router).
    4. Hand off feature. The continuity between all of your apple devices from one device to the other is just flawless. You can even answer a phone call on your iPad. Android does finally have a similar feature now called RCS but it’s not as polished and needs work.
    5. Reachability. This feature allows you to bring the top half of the screen down to the middle when need be making the iPhone easier to use with one hand.
    6. Tap To Top. With this feature, when you’re strolled way way down on a page in any app, tap the top and it’ll bring you back to the top of the page very quickly without you having to swipe down a bunch of times.
    7. FaceTime. Well this one needs no explanation. Even now with iOS 15, you can now include android and windows users on FaceTime group calls.
    8. Accessories. There are still way more cases and accessories available for iPhones than there are android phones (even though droid closed the gap just a tad bit). iPhone is still accessory king. It’s like that because there are so many accessory makers who cater more to iPhone, meaning there are so many companies who only make cases and accessories for the iPhone. Hell you can find iPhone cases at a gas station! I even saw iPhone cases in JCPenney a few years ago !!!
    9. Better resale value. Please don’t shoot the messenger but for some reason, android phones have always depreciated faster than iPhones and still do.
    10. MaskID. iPhone users with Apple Watch (series 3 or newer) can now unlock their phone with their face while wearing a mask. The purpose of requiring the watch is so just in case the wrong face (and your own) unlocks the phone with a mask, it sends a haptic feedback to the watch on your wrist so you can lock the iPhone right from your watch right away. And with iOS 15.4 rolling out a while ago, iPhone 12 and 13 users can use MaskID WITHOUT an Apple Watch and only the owner’s face can unlock it while wearing a mask.
    11. Apple Stores. I don’t know how close you live to one but under warranty or with Apple Care Plus insurance you can make an appointment and walk into one of the hundreds of apple stores around the world and get your issue resolved usually THE SAME DAY.
    12. Video camera. Android might give iPhone camera a run for their money as far as PHOTOS are concerned (for the most part), but when it comes to VIDEO RECORDING, iPhone is top dog in the smartphone world. The galaxy’s 8k is not living up to the hype.
    13. Air drop. Being able to send more data at once to someone within 30 feet of you is flawless. Android finally came with a similar feature called Wi-Fi Direct a few years ago but it still needs some polishing.
    14. I can’t speak for anybody else on this one but 97% of people I know have iPhones so I can use the exclusive apple features like iMessage, FaceTime, Air Drop, Wi-Fi Password Sharing, Find My, etc. more often.
    15. Picture and video quality in Snapchat and instagram is way better on the iPhone.
    16. Augmented Reality. Android might be better at Virtual Reality but Apple is better at Augmented Reality which I actually like better.
Hope this helps a little. I know people are gonna bash me in the comments and say stuff like “this dude is bored or something” but guess what…. IDGAF !!!! I know my shit when it comes to my electronics I spend my hard earned money on!!!

I switched from the Note 5 to the iPhone 10 and realized quickly I made a huge mistake. The screen was the best I've ever seen, speakers awesome, and it never seemed to slow down. That was until my kids introduced me to COD Mobile. I would have to play sitting in front of a fan to keep it cool. The screen would dim dramatically, and the back of the phone would be almost too hot to touch. So I waited for the next one the XS, then 11, 12 now 13 and the problem still hasn't been addressed. They took away 3D touch and sold the same phone year after year. I barely use my camera, so that wasn't selling me. I switched to the S21 Ultra last year and it was like heaven sandwiched between 2 lovely pieces of glass. I'm never going back.

Great video. To answer your question I shoot short films and do macro photography and up until recently I used my digital SLR. But this was chunky so I got the iPhone 13 for cinematic mode, and pro for macro. Swapping the SLR for the iPhone 13 pro was a great choice cos I can travel easier with it and it’s less complicated than using the SLR controls. The reason why I chose iPhone 13 pro over other phones was cos I felt these 2 features, cinematic mode and macro, were the best in the iPhone and easy to use cos of the simple interface (not hidden away), and I get the output I need. I would be happy to go for any other phone if these 2 specific features were better and easier to use in other phones, but have yet to find a review to show that this is the case. Also, Apple does a great job in their marketing as they were able to showcase the types of films that users can produce, specifically the focus on subjects, and once I saw that and how easy it was, and learnt about the macro capability, it was a no brainer as it met my needs. I would be open to using other phones if they can do macro and cinematic better/easier, as I’m not particularly brand loyal.

I’ve had iPhones since the iPhone 4. I’ve tried android on and off and back then they had touch wiz for the operating system which was junk. I returned them within 24 hours. But I tried the s21 ultra last time I upgraded. It wasn’t a bad phone but I had two main complaints which made me switch to an iPhone 13 pro after 2 months. 1st I had no service in my apartment with it. I had no issues anywhere else. Which just comes down to how my apartment is, but I didn’t want to rely on WiFi 24/7 to make phone calls. 2nd was no visual voice mail on the phone. I don’t have the best hearing and having to call in to listen to a voice mail is definitely outdated. 3rd it’s a big phone which is a plus and a minus. Great for watching videos but kinda annoying after holding it for a decent amount of time. Also I’m visually disabled so the big screen did make it easier to read. But I can’t see the whole thing so things like split screen features don’t do me any good. Also the iPhone mute button is hard to pass up. Another thing I noticed is app updates are never constant. I would manually check and get them like 7 days after it was available. security updates are never on time. In my experience I only got that months security updates at the end of said month which makes no sense. But some things like the notification icons on the Lock Screen were nice, but still not enough to get me to return to android any time soon.

The Actual facts between these two never ending debate is that Android vs IOS most talked thing IOS offers less features. so less features means less number of bugs and they only have one universal OS which is controlled by them so developer's are forced to code in only that language and code is more optimized there, no doubts in it's ram management and battery backup it's best and also it's processor whereas in android there are more features so there will be more of bugs and sometimes it takes time to fix them and its all normal for day to day purpose you will find it better soon or later for Android Ecosystem!

    • *Display* iPhone display is still a very high level
    • *Speakers* Samsung sound is terrible compared to iPhone… what use is a good Samsung screen with poor sound?!
    • *Stylus* Most people simply don’t care about a mini-stylus, many (like me) hope Apple never include one
    • *Software* All apps are perfect on iOS, but many are super buggy on Android… ironically including TH-cam!
    • *Software again* The uniformity of iOS means anyone can use every device instantly, especially good for the elderly or technophobes.
    • *Vibration* As Hayls noted, iOS now has keyboard haptic feedback. Also I’ve seen many complain the S22 alert vibration is problematically weak compared to the S21.
    • *Chipset* iPhone chipsets are far more optimised and easily the most powerful vs Samsung or any mobile manufacturer
    • *AirDrop* Although Android has Nearby Share, if you use a Mac at work AirDrop is going to be how you share files or even copy text between devices
    • *Smart watch* No-one can touch the Apple Watch for quality… you need an iPhone for that
    • *Perception* iPhone is the premium market brand, if you have a healthy income there’s a very high chance you also choose Apple devices
No wonder Apple has 100 million iPhone 14 being manufactured as we speak. 100 million!

I know that in some instances, she just doesn't give apple enough credit. I use both phones (s22 and iphone 13 mini) and although I agree that samsung has made an amazing phone, some of the obvious advantages of the iPhone are disregarded, while ones like the s-pen are hailed as a great feature

Spen is in fact a humongous advantage feature for Samsung over the iPhone period.
Once you get used to it, you can't go back.
