    ive been following this series from the start, i can only say it mustve been incredibly devastating to find those sparkles in the oil. BUT KEEP AT IT! yall are doing an amazing job and an incredible job presenting the work. this series has been incredibly helpful for me for my build. yall kick a$$ seabass!

      It really did take a lot of wind from our sails and grind our work ethic to a stop. Our mistakes help others like you save money, learn faster, and overall bring more people along for the ride though. In the end that is what it's all about. Thanks for the support and good luck on your build!

      @@TeamBlush im super interested to see if yall find out something new that caused the problem, line boring is a great idea but im curious if there is another culprit....time will tell! goodluck and praying for yall gettin back on your feets!

      Really unsure in the regard. The motor just may have run completely fine if the starter was engaging properly on that flywheel, but after seeing the bearing scores it just makes sense to make sure it's 100% right.

    Congratulations on completing your project!! Currently doing a turbo on my single cam s13. Having this series is a huge blessing. Thank you so much!

      Far from done, but at least the car is running and driving, haha. Still going to attempt a second go at the forged motor once we're in a situation for it. Have fun with your project, hope it goes smoothly for you!

    A pretty impressive build! Awesome to see you guys did this all yourself

      Thank you! It really has been a fulfilling project so far even with the setbacks. Probably a lot easier if we got a lot more help, but we're too stubborn to pay people things when parts cost so much already.

    Great job guys!! Enjoy the stock boosted ka24e-t and then be dialed in for the built one! Keep it up!🤙

      Thanks! It really will be helpful getting tuned on stock motor and then transferring that to the built one. It's a lot more complicated than we thought!

    Great series! Installing the CX Racing turbo kit on my son's KA24E this weekend.

      Thanks! Hope the series gave you a better idea what you might be jumping into and that the CX Racing kit serves you well. Good luck!

      @@TeamBlush It definitely did. So far the kit is fitting pretty well. I was able to keep the factory windshield washer tank and have a decent size battery in the factory location.

      The intercooler piping is the best part of that kit in our opinion! Wish they sold it separately for people to piece together their own kits.

    Hey guys awesome series just vinged it all. Any update on what may have went wrong on the forged engine?

    • @TeamBlush
      @TeamBlush  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for tuning in for all the videos! Unfortunately no update as of yet. The forged engine is just currently sitting, needing to be pulled back apart and we hope to manage the funds to jump back into a second go of that soon.

      @@TeamBlush I'm preparing to do almost an identical build. As far as I can tell you did everything right so this makes me nervous lol

    • @TeamBlush
      @TeamBlush  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good luck! As far as the bearings getting marred up, it was probably just a case of us not being as clean as we should've been when assembling everything. Looking back, the forged engine may have ran if not for the clearance issues with the starter, but after seeing the marring we just want to get everything checked out.

      Maybe I missed it but what manifold/turbo are you running? What were your power or boost goals?

    • @TeamBlush
      @TeamBlush  ปีที่แล้ว

      Rev9 Cast Turbo Manifold and an On3Performance GT35 Turbo. We're hoping to achieve a reliable 300-350hp.

    So I have a Ka24de and just got a turbo kit put on it and going from MAF to GM IAT. Is there anything that I got to do to the ecu for it to work on the ecu or, does it just switch over from MAF to the IAT when rewired?

    • @TeamBlush
      @TeamBlush  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you wire the IAT through the OEM MAF sensor wiring you will need to move a physical jumper on the Megasquirt itself from "IAT" to "MAF". If you wire the IAT through the OEM IAT sensor wiring you will not have to do that. Otherwise you will just go through the setup to calibrate your IAT sensor in Tunerstudio.
