Well done. Very informative. May go this route when it's turbo time on my son's hand-me-down 90 240sx. It's been in the family since new and just getting the brakes and suspension sorted.
Thanks! Cool that the car has stayed in the family and it sounds like an awesome base to start with on a turbo journey. The Megasquirt is a powerful little box and already is given us a ton of fun. We haven't even scratched the surface on what it can provide..
Awesome to hear it was helpful and you're up and running! We wired in our GM IAT into the factory IAT sensor wiring, but the MAF solution is a very common and correct wiring method as well. The values for the GM IAT sensor should be a drop down in the menu of the Tunerstudio software.
We ended up using the OEM trigger wheel that is already installed in the car. So far it doesn't seem like it has been an issue. Unsure whether or not the AEM one would work. We were not even aware AEM sold a trigger wheel for the KA24E.
Is the install the same for the DE? I'm going to megasquirt my DE when I drop in my built motor. It'll still be NA but I want to go ahead and get it out the way
Haven't installed a Megasquirt on a DE before. Would think it'd be very similar to this installation, but wouldn't know without looking at the documentation!
why do people always leave out the IAT sensor wiring? this is why your channel hasn't grown all these idiots on youtube install megasquirt ECUs but never show the IAT sensor wiring.

Great video! going mega squirt on my k24det
New sun!
Thanks! It's such a powerful little box. Get ready to get lost in the crazy amount of settings the software has!
Guys, this was super helpful today. I got the car to idle. Did you wire a GM IAT into the MAF plug? If so can you help me with the values?

So what Trigger wheel will you use? Would the AEM one work?
