I'm in the same situation. I love my XJ, but I can't afford to daily it anymore. Need to get something with good gas mileage, and used vehicles are so darn expensive these days.

The Hawk will do it, especially with some street tires or Shinko 705s. On that digital cluster, it's usually about 4 mph high, so you may have actually been running 65-66 mph top speed, which is still pretty good. See if you can get a GPS mph reading on it to compare that with the digital cluster. Most Hawk guys are reporting about 3-4 mph off (too high) on the cluster.
Iv got the clustered calibrated with gps, had to set the wheel size to 19 to get it spot on

The stock turkey said MPH, used my phone and it was closer to Kph. Be careful with the wire "schematic". The new cluster was designed for, (DREAM) a 6 speed transmission.
I am 65 years old and I have pretty much rode bikes all my life and I can tell you pretty much all bikes or like that once you warm them up for the morning, they pretty much that way all day.

I got up to 72 on mine and still had a little throttle left I used the gps speedometer but on my cluster it was 3 miles an hour off🤔 great video 👍😎🤘

I Am Having A Blast On My 2023 Honda XR150L . 65mph is what mine tops out at but 50 is its sweet spot .
I also have an XR150L, about to put a 222cc BBK on it with a cam. I hoping for 75mph and more hill climbing power. Maintaining 65mph on a hill is impossible lol.
Great links for your mods. Cool China-bike. I totally off-road my Hawk in a state without prohibitive & power-robbing emission controls. That fat bulge in your aftermarket exhaust manifold has something inside that robs your engine of so much power it doesn't matter what the carb can/cannot do. Just sayin'...look for carbon build-up that decreases true life of the engine in the future.

My 200cc same pushrod engine but only 200cc can run up to 80 and up, I use 428 size sprocket and chain , my gearing is 17/41 now I will try 17/38 I will upgrade the compression ratio by refaceing the head about 0.8mm to add more power to the engine.
U should do a carb and filter upgrade and that quick throttle will add so much to the bike, maybe even a renthal bar
Already upgraded to a nibbi carb and modded my air box, Ive been thinking of going cone filter but I ride in the rain sometimes lol

No I don't believe there is, it's gets your really far though it's a surprisingly large tank

You said the bike slowed hard in lower gears, could ruduce teeth # on the front/rear sproket for some better top end, might get that top speed a hair better.

Hey bro quick question is that one 4 speed or 5 speed I used to have one back in 2016 from haojin brand and that one was 4 speed 😢 so this new models that now came out are 5 speed? Thanks anyway and I hope you can get back to me soon please

I can only get max 63mph out of mine, I have 15/39 gearing, a nibbi 28mm carb running 40/115 jets and the stock exhaust, and modded stock airbox ,is the exhaust my problem or is gearing?

yeah its the upgrade dash I bought on amazon, I got it linked in the description if you need it, pretty easy to install just have to take the gas tank off which is also easy

How come my Lifan KP MINI 150cc will do 67GPS confirmed. (78 on the dash) and it’s 100CCs smaller? Wondering if the 250 just gets up to speed quicker? Where the hell do the other 100CCs go?!
Everything is a bit better on the KP mini, the engine is counter balanced and weighs half as much as the hawk. The KP mini is a really nice bike tbh especially the new ones. Not surprised it's faster lol the hawk is also geared super low, like gear 1 ends at 8mph stock
@@BodieMoto I didnt even think of the weight differences. Foolish of me. I do agree the KP is a very nice bike for what it is. Its probably one of the nicer if not the nicest china mini out right now. I opted for the carb version instead of EFI for own personal preference. I am shocked to hear gear 1 end at 8mph lol sheesh.. it sounds like with some basic mods you could pull a little more out its top end. I actually have my KP listed on marketplace right now TRADE ONLY not for sale and I am searching for something like a hawk. I really like my KP a ton but A. The aftermarket parts scene is nearly non existent. and B. I am 6 foot 3 and on them longer rides of 2/3 hours I really find myself super uncomfortable LOL.. Start riding with my legs up on the fairings to stretch them out.

17 in the front, 45 in the back! It loses a bit of torque but I actually have a usable gear range now
I get 66 consistent on my hawk nibbi carb. 17 45 sprockets 125 main jet cat and silencer delete. I'm 225lb.. oh and no air filter with it on it only does 55 mph

@@BodieMoto I guess you haven’t heard they have 300cc big bore kits? Also most people just use whatever the heck they give you in the build kits and seem to forget how engine mechanics works. Invest in like a nice wiseco flat top piston upgrade your cam with the head do carb and do a exhaust you’ll be seeing probably around 80 on gps with stock gearing if you re gear it I’m sure you could get over a hundred but I got a zx14 to go fast I got a cheap enduro to do cheap enduro shit. 😂 all in all for around 3k it’s a really nice bike and super hard to get anything close to this nice/fast for the money so you’ll never hear me bitch. Look up some of that stuff post it on your channel I’m sure it’ll bump your views.

Will be buying nibbi carb and 35 rear sprocket so I can get that 70+mph gps throttle cable broke randomly
My bike goes 85 mph but with a new sprocket I can get 100 mph
