Fun fact. You can get a 300cc big bore kit and other go fast goodies for that engine for pretty cheap. And its not too bad on reliability as long as you take care of it.

There is no 300cc big bore kit for that Chinese(ZS165FMM) engine. The Titan DLX engine is a CRF230 clone. All of the "300cc" big bore kits are 250cc at most, do the math for the bore and stroke. Only the ZS174MN-5 has a legit 302cc big bore kit available.

I have a Xpro Titan 250 I got for $1200 off Amazon, I've had it 2 years now, other than being kind of slow it makes a pretty good trail bike for the price and has never let me down. I'd definitely spend the extra $ for something nicer if you plan on track use or harder riding, but if it's all you can afford it's been a good bike

To be fair you can buy legitimate motorcycles for under $1, 000 spend the remainder of what you're going to pay for the actual cost of the bike plus shipping to get it running most issues are very very minor to actually get it to function of properly You can go legitimate sport bike or even a older chopper or bagger for the same price you would get this for after the purchase price tax and shipping it's not to say that it wouldn't be a cool little purchase and be just as fun but there are other options

The engine(ZS165FMM) in that bike is a CRF230 clone. The factory cam is hotter than a CRF. You need to adjust the valves, they have zero lash from the factory.

The carburetor is very likely tuned super lean for emissions reasons. Fixing that will probably give you quite a bit more power.

100% correct. ALL the factories do this, not just motorcycles. Every modern small engine suffers the same problem.

Get a big bore, high compression piston and an upgrade brand name bigger carb and a free flowing exhaust and it’ll make a considerable difference in power. Pretty sure you can even get bigger cans for these motors too
Seems like a decent deal. I would mention that as it comes as shipped you would be doing a pre delivery during assembly. Maybe the spokes are not tightened to final tension and that could explain the dented wheel?

I bought a kayo kt250 2 stroke and absolutely love it. I’ve done enduro races and everything on it. Only downside is side to the bike is stricktly the power. It actually a 230 and you have to do some mods to get it opened up.

Pro tip for people that insist on riding alone. Air tag in the helmet. Or some tracker. That way if your not heard from your found quicker then not.
I bought my first dirtbike ever its a Suzuki 450 rmz in Colorado went up a 2 hour mountain dropped the bike at the top broke the clutch handle where it was impossible to ride back down had to walk in the dark hid the bike for over a week shit sucked

Yo edwin, I can not speak on THIS PARTICULAR BIKE, BUT, I have had VERY SIMMILAR and the front brake safety feature (for starting) was simple to work around.. Look at the inside of the levers purch and see if you see something plugging into it, if you unplug it, it should just be 2 prongs.. (kind of like the plugs on clutch safetys) Anyways, youll just unplug that wire, cut and splice. Some folks install a fuse right there in that splice, most dont, I never have. I dont know if it will be this simple on this bike but I have a good feeling it will be. This will take you 3 minutes of time and no tools except a razer and some electric tape or wire nut! Bring a zip tie along to keep things looking neat as well. Good video, This machine is looking pretty rad at that price point. I can not lie.

Oops yep I just looked and that was a sale price that is now over.. sooo yep 1400 😂 damn..oh well I believe that was the price I was seeing before this video came out as well, they just had a sale recently, usually around tax time they have sales as well to clear out for the next years model.. or at least they did last year on all the xpro vaders and stuff like that
Yeah, the prices constantly fluctuating at Walmart. I’ve noticed it going up or down $50 on Amazon as well.
@@EdwinOlding either way not a bad bike for the money it seems 🤷♂️ especially for us folks that can't afford a ktm or something but still want a new bike and not a used one that has been through who knows what lol, plus out of the cheaper bikes ive found this one looks to have the best made frame where it actually protects the motor somewhat and also seems to just be better looking than others in general
@@PossumSwanger4 you have to be careful though, sometimes ‘cheap’ stuff is actually more expensive in the long run. If this thing constantly breaks parts or needs things things upgraded like the wheels it may not actually be cheaper than buying a used bike and fixing it. Also, this bike isn’t comparable to a KTM, or even a Honda CRF250. As people are saying it’s really a cheap 230 clone. Check out used prices of those. Might actually make more sense in the long run since they run forever.

Youll have to portmatch and blend transfers that will do the trick regarding power!
Rejet the carb. Add a straight pipe with performance muffler and change the sprocket. Unless it's efi.
That's a good looking bike for a electric conversion.... It looks decent and has good suspension and it could hold a good 72v system. 😁👍
I bought a used competition SX 250 in 2015. It sits since 2016 since general bearing failure.
I've got the 2020 model, still ripping , this thing is a little tank... I also went with team Orange, 🤘🤘🤘🤘💯
For the price, it seems like a fine bike. No, it is not great in any condition. It is not fast. Nor have great suspension, but it is not a $13K new KTM, or an $8K used (beater?) one either. This seems like a great bike to have around a cabin, or campground, that might just make people want to try a bit more of a bike.
Fuel mileage on that bike is pretty decent. I ride a 2006 Honda shadow aero 750 and it still gets about 53mpg on the highway

It's takes gas. Not oil.
They come full of shipping oil so that the engine internals don’t rust while the product sits in the warehouse. I would never risk running it myself but I’m on board to see what happens!

I fully plan on buying one of these in the future and have been planning to for awhile now.. from what I’ve seen they seem to be decent bikes and I’m sure with a few little upgrades they could be super fun.. I wonder if the gear situation could be fixed with changing the sprocket sizes maybe, then I assume maybe a better carb, exhaust, maybe a big bore kit or something if they make it for these bikes 😂 but yeah I’m definitely hoping to get one and see, either that or hoping to find a good used bike in the same price range but I kinda like the idea of brand new even if its offbrand, then I know anything that goes wrong is my fault at least 😂

Check your valve gap if you haven't done so, grab a big bore kit, locktite _everything_, and consider a different carby or adjusting the current one. These cheap Chinese bikes have come a very long way in the last 10 years :-)

That's pretty decent for the price, I would still prefer something Japanese, even if it's 20 years old and needs some love. But for anyone who doesn't want to play mechanic and just wants to ride it is easy fun
These bikes are approaching useful status. In the past, they broke too fast to be worth the effort with complete garbage materials used in frames and everywhere. The frames would crack within a month even when used softly. But the latest ones seem to have stepped up the materials, and hopefully this trend continues. I love the prices of chinese clones, if only they can get them reliable! I have been enjoying the cheap chinese bicycle engines for a long time now.

I live in a mostly flat area , do you think I could daily it going no more than 28 miles round trip 2 or 3 days a week ?? How fast dose it go on the highway?? I'm thinking I need atleast 75mph top speed would be fine ...
The fastest I’ve gone is 65 and that was slightly downhill, but I haven’t held it wide-open yet because I’m still breaking in the motor. When I get it straight legal, I will take it out on the highway and do a video about the range, 0 to 60 time and top speed.

Sadly, you can't get this bike in California. It's import restricted. I would totally get a roller and swap in a electric motor.
Peronally, I would like to see the time mote and this paired against each other.
The engines is where these things suffer and the reason there so cheap. But if your just a casual trail rider i could see this being a answer for alot of people. Would i take this bike to the track and go hard like i would on a brand name dirt bike. know because there to slow and would probably break. I'm not pro but I grew up racing so Im a bit faster rider then your average weekend warrior.
