This was truly inspiring and came on a very difficult day too. My Dad took his life on this day many many years ago. I was 10 and adored him. Throughout the decades I can’t help but reflect on some of the lessons he taught me about nature and art, and your video today really hit home and my heart. So much to be thankful for! Though my body is very broken because of an accident Spent a very long time healing, 12 years! Put back together, gather by screws, nuts, bolts, and other metals. I am not as strong and fit as I was before but I praise Him because of what I am able to do! I live in a hauler that surrounded by streams, gorgeous trees. The colors remind me of the master painter as I sit on my porch! The sounds of the birds is all I hear, except for maybe the barking of one or two of my dogs! I am so very grateful, so grateful that I have HIS word to teach me to correct me. And to give me help! Thank you for your video. That was beautiful.

A lot of times, we take things for granted. I was just yesterday driving down the road talking to God, and thanked Him that I had a bed to lie in. When I got up I had lights, I had running water, and not only water but hot water. I have clothes to put on, food to eat, and most of all, I have God. We need to pray for those who don't.

So true!! We are blessed beyond measure! I teach Pre-K and every day I ask the children to look around and find something that God has blessed us with. At the beginning of the school year, they struggled to think of things. Now they immediately tell me several things. Sometimes as they are coming in in the morning, they will want to whisper in my ear what they are going to say is their blessing. They are already looking and thinking about it. I love it!! Makes my heart burst with happiness.

The aroma and the lazy steam floating above my cup of coffee rising in the morning light. The sounds of birds in the trees and a squirrel eating a peanut from our bird feeder. The blast of warm air when I open my front door and our little dachshund’s dancing at my feet so happy I’m back from my 15 minutes of absence. I’m grateful for life in all its beauty.

I have held on to Psalm 46:10 ever since I became disabled in 1997. Now with hubby being in bad shape in rehab facility and will most likely become long-term its really meaning more now along with Romans 8, the whole chapter. I read it to him tonight when I visited, even tho its a struggle for me to even try to get dressed & drive there, then try to get in with my walker. But, still, I thank God he's still with me, I can sit on my bed & watch the deer in the field across our country road, I don't sleep well so sometimes I get to see a sunrise which is amazing & thanking God for another day. There are a lot of things I'm not able to do, but I'm thankful for what I can do. God is my everything and that will never change!! Love you, Corie! This was beautiful & a blessing! I am a senior citizen, I am glad I took advantage of opportunities to enjoy walking and sitting outside with my sons. I was a nurse so needed time to unwind and relax when off from work. I feel I've lost so much because of it. These words have reminded me to appreciate everything (I don't have much) and those I love. To live in the moment not in the past fearing the future. Thank you, Corie. As you know, I lost everything and now my older son and I are trying our best to regain at least some of what we had. I suffer from depression, but your videos help sustain me, as does prayer, but I will be so happy when we can have a place of our own again. I will always miss my mom and younger son, and what we had, but I know that the lord hasn’t forgotten me and though I’m a Jew, I still have the same G-d as you and I talk to him every day. I do wish that I could actually talk to you because I have no one except my son and brothers and they don’t live with me so I am alone most of the time. But I know that the lord is with me, and I have my cat! Thanks for the videos!

Thank you my sister. This video, those words spoke to my heart personally. All my life I have battle a melancholy spirit and in my adult years depression. I've let it consume all my days. I feel I've lost so much because of it. These words have reminded me to appreciate everything (I don't have much) and those I love. To live in the moment not in the past fearing the future. My heart is heavy, full of regret of things I can't undo, do over or make right. But I need to live now and love now. Thank you Lord Jesus for this sister. Thank you. Amen.
Amen! You can do this, you can change your mindset, I have done it myself. A book that helped me so much is called Telling Yourself the Truth by William Backus and Marie Chapian. It’s an older book, you may be able to borrow it through your local library.
Bless you friend. Sometimes people describe that as a feeling of impending doom all the time, sometimes I deal with that too. But then I remind myself, I get to decide what I think so I decide to hack my brain so to speak and tell myself I don't actually feel that way and it works. Of course relying on God helps the most. Thank you, Corie. As you know, I lost everything and now my older son and I are trying our best to regain at least some of what we had. I suffer from depression, but your videos help sustain me, as does prayer, but I will be so happy when we can have a place of our own again. I will always miss my mom and younger son, and what we had, but I know that the lord hasn’t forgotten me and though I’m a Jew, I still have the same G-d as you and I talk to him every day. I do wish that I could actually talk to you because I have no one except my son and brothers and they don’t live with me so I am alone most of the time. But I know that the lord is with me, and I have my cat! Thanks for the videos!

We decided early on that we do not have to do this, we get to do it. Looking for the blessings in the simplest, most mundane things allows us to experience peace and joy.
