Do you know what you always get with this channel? Peace. Contentment. No drama. No negativity. Just good people enjoying a good life in the Appalachian Mountains. We should all be this happy and wholesome.
Well, I agree with you! There were several channels I was interested in following but then I would hear profanity or be presented with something that was offensive to me. I was shocked at how many channels were not acceptable for various reasons. So, I unsubscribed and interestingly enough, I am down to a handful! It is sad to me. I am not out to try and find fault, but I also don’t want to hear/see it either. This channel is heartwarming, spiritually healthy, inspirational, entertaining and many other positive aspects. I wanted to study about Appalachia and have come to appreciate the wonderful, hardworking, people of this area. One of the things I have been sad about and regretted my entire life is I never knew my grandparents. I think it would be wonderful to know the love of a grandparent‼️ Mine were deceased when I was a baby. I am so happy that nice people like Katie and Corie know the love of grandparents and loving family members. And the great part is, they know they are blessed and are thankful‼️ Love and blessings to all from Texas! ♥️🤗🙏🐾
Corey, here’s a trick I learned in my early housekeeping days: if you add a teaspoon of powdered milk to your heavy whipping cream before you mix it up, the whipped cream will stabilize and not deflate in the fridge if you have to make it ahead of time before serving. It also works to stabilize frosting on a cake when you use cream. Blessings from Yosemite, California.
Corie, you are such a good wife!! Austin is so blessed to have you and you him. The dinner looked wonderful. You cook like your mama!! It was wonderful to see Katie and baby Ira...even if it was just his precious little head. Matt and Tipper did a great job of raising you girls. Such a loving family. God bless you all.
We had a total eclipse here in Ohio. It was amazing! My parents are 91 and 89 and they said who would believe we'd be here to see this?! My Mom and I started singing Our God is an Awesome God at the same moment! So special and so blessed! ❤
I was thinking about your upcoming baby, Corie, and his future name. Since his mom and auntie are twin sisters, and his cousin's name is Ira, what about Ezra? Ira and Ezra. Ezra Matthew, a nod to his Grampy. 😊 The amazing day will be here soon!
I wish I was part of this family. 💛 So much love and respect and warmth for each other. My family is cold and distant with one and other. Y’all really are blessed.💛
Yes, I agree. Respect, love, and care. You can rely on them. My mom was born in Mousie, Kentucky. She could cook like no other. So there was some kind of upbringing from there. We live in Ohio now. Mom passed in 96, dad in 78 when I was 12. You all have a blessed life.
Pray for the discernment of the Holy Spirit to change the family dynamic as best you can; being a light for Jesus can bring about much change. God bless you, and may the Lord provide your family with His grace and mercy.
6 kids in my family. I get along with 2 of my 3 brothers and neither of my 2 sisters. Pretty messed up. But in my own defense, 5 of us agree that my older sister is a certified sociopath. She abused mom physically, emotionally and psychologically including stealing her life savings. I wish I was in Appalachia.
Seeing all yall sitting in the living room eating supper brought back memories of my childhood. On Sunday evenings, my folks & I would all sit in the living room, eat supper & watch The Wonderful World of Disney.
That brings back memories of my family too. We ate at my grandparents Sunday evening and watched Walt Disney and Marlin Perkins Wild Kingdom. Good times😊
I’ve got a good parchment paper hack for you, Corie. Bunch up your piece of parchment paper, get it wet, shake it off, then place it in your dish. It will become form-fitting. Most items we cook have a bit of moisture already in it, so if your paper is still damp it won’t add much more. If you are concerned, do this earlier and let it dry. Or, you can blot it with a paper towel. I always just use it damp and I’ve never had a problem. Looks delicious!
So good of you to look after your Dad and sister, Corie, while Tipper was away. I think the nurturing mother instinct is already showing itself. You are good to your family and they are good to you. I love how you are so close and do things as a family. You are greatly blessed and highly favored!
Corie and Austin, I ❤️ love your new home. Your dinner looks delicious. And Your peach cobbler! I remember the first time you made it, Austin said, "I'm going to be eating this again!" And he is. Can't wait to see you holding your baby in your arms. You are gentle, nurturing, and what an amazing mother you will be.❤ Austin, I like you. I love your comments, and you are right on! You make a great husband for Corie. God bless.❤❤❤
What I loved about our childhood home was listening to the rain in the trees; when our parents passed, I wanted to keep the home, as did one of my siblings, but the rest wanted to sell it; I spent a year with my brother, fixing up the home to sell, and I slept in my parents' room, the rain in the trees was the best there; after the sale, I returned home, where I have a tree, but I hear the rain mostly on the skylights. The end of this video is very melancholy for me. but the Holy Spirit reminds me it was only a house, and my home is where I dwell with the Holy Spirit in me.
Your new house looks spacious and comfortable. The supper looked delish! Corie, some friendly advice when washing berries: Wash BEFORE removing the stem. This way no water gets into the place where the stem was removed, and the strawberries, etc. will be MUCH MORE flavorful. We learned this tip in a cooking class several years ago.
Family, that is what it is all about. So happy you all live near & with each other. Wonderful Granny is home & Tipper too. We all missed them. God Bless. Terri R.
You were right, Corie! I could not believe either that the last solar eclipse was in 2017! It seemed like it was like in 2020! Loved the peppy music you played during the video. Austin, you did a great job hanging all those pictures and cutting all that grass. It was really funny watching you on the lawn mower in fast forward mode. I loved hearing Lil’ Bit’s crying and baby sounds.
Miss Lori and Mr. Brown's theme for Whipporwill Holler... all I could think of was, "... and every now and then we like to dance." 😊❤ If you're not familiar they are a super sweet couple who live in the hills of Arkansas. Also, been watching Donnie Laws' channel. Thank you for recommending! That strawberry shortcake looked soooo good! 🍓🍓🍓
Corie and Austin you are such a great couple. Your son will be so lucky to be born into such a loving family. It so exciting to see how you are settling into the new house and getting ready for your new addition. ❤
The woeld could take alot of lessons from this family, especially in this day and time. I like watching your family because its the only glimpse I get of good people, that live a wholesome life. It truly is a beautiful thing to watch .May God bless you all.
Austin did good with the picture hanging. Dinner looks delicious. I'm sure you all miss Tipper, and Granny, we are all praying for you guys, and look at Aunt Corie getting all the lovins from little Ira! Have a blessed evening everyone ❤
So nice to see you in your new kitchen, Corie! Those countertops turned out so good by your dad. Pleasant to see y´all enjoying a first supper there. 😊
You are such a sweet wife, sister, daughter, and child of God! You are always looking out for those around you. God's love just oozes from you and it shows. Thank you for sharing your life with us...I know it can't be easy all the time. God bless you and keep you. Praying for Granny and your sweet mama.
Lol, as I’m listening to the rain on your video, it’s thundering outside here. That was one tall strawberry short cake tower.😅. I did not think we’d see any of the eclipse either but it was seen here. Another thing that hit home was Corie holding baby boy and pregnant. I was carrying my oldest daughter when a nephew was born 6 weeks early. They lived across the street from us and his mom was having issues. Aunty Margaret to the rescue. I always told him as he grew up, his girl cousin was kicking his behind before she was born.😂. I’d be feeding him a bottle and she’d be kicking up a storm. 😂😂. God bless all and I pray He puts a hedge of protection around your house. I pray that same protection over both boys as they grow up together.😊❤
Such an amazing video of family loving each other! The house is becoming a beautiful home, great job Austin and Corie. Katie, you are a wonderful Mom and I love catching glimpses of precious Ira. Your family is so blessed!❤️🙏
Enjoyed this very much🥰Nice that you are able to get your house put together before your sweet baby arrives. The peacefulness of your home is such a blessing. Prayers continue for you all and thank you all again for such enjoyable channels! God Bless🙏🏻
I wish everyone could feel the peace of a gentle rain in the Appalachian woods just once in their life. I know you guys know what I mean. Sending love from West "by God" Virginia.
It is so great to see your new home coming together 😀 All of the food looked amazing! What a nice first supper! Thank you for sharing 🙂 God bless you and your family!
Hey Corie, my grandson who's 9 said."Oh yeah, that looks good! Dig in!" I'm gonna have to make that strawberry shortcake!😃.... When we had grandkids we bolted things to the wall too. Take care sweet girl! ❤🙏Patsy. So wonderful to see baby Ira close to his cousin!
Corey, your new house is starting to look nice and homey. I hope you and Austin will create lots of warm memories for your future child/ children. With loving grandparents next door, it will make the years much more special. God bless this home! By the way your supper looked good, and that cobbler looked scrumptious!
What a packed video. I remember when me and my sisters started having kids. Soon you'll have 2❤. Life changes so much and that season of life was my favorite. My oldest is 26 and youngest just turned 7. I've birthed 7...I so wish I could go back to the beginning and do it all over lol. Corie I love all your pictures in your house. So beautiful
I just had like a cloudy afternoon from about 3:10to 335 here in the midatlantic if you did not know about Eclipse and the time my area would be affected would not have known, then the sun came back,Corie I have adopted your attitude about stuff,5yra ago when I downsized,I gave away alot ,based on those same sentiments,I am in the process this week of doing the same thing If I did not use it in 5yrs and has no sentimental value I am donating it, seeing Austin do the pics reminded me of my late husband not only did he have the level ,but the stud finder and the dry wall Anchors Nice see the family together thanks for sharing
Corie your supper looked very good, you cook just like your mom. It was so sweet of you inviting your dad and Katie to supper, it was good getting to see Katie's baby for just a minute, he is so precious. Austin is a great handyman. God Bless you all!! Love your videos.
Love this one. Try putting a few squeezes of lemon or vinegar in the skillet and a splash of stock or water and scrape all the lovely chicken bits off the pan, turn to low simmer and add a a tbsp of cold butter and whisk, delicious pan sauce because you can’t waste all those yummy bits in the pan ! ❤
Hi , thank you for not being afraid to tell of the LORD and how he loves us each one.. Y'alls channel is refreshing and thought provoking sometimes.. I am a southern and love feeling at home with y'all... GOD Bless YOU Each One...
Thanks for letting us hang out with you all. It’s nice to just see the family together doing regular things and enjoying each other’s company. Be well & take care.
Thank-you for the raindrops! I am in Arizona and we have not had rain for quite awhile. Love hearing the rain on the leaves of the trees. Sometimes you don’t even know what you miss until you see it or hear it. Prayers for Granny and your family.
Seeing you all together like that is so heartwarming, those two little boys are going to have such a beautiful childhood with 5 adults who truly love them and each other, blessings to you all ❤
Your meal looked delicious! Love the colors and decor in your new house. It’s very kind of you to cook for your family while your mom is taking care of granny❤
Me & my daughter both crochet so we've always got a stash espy of leftovers. I keep the balls os leftovers in a basket by the chair & tv to work up into lap blankets to take to nursing homes etc. nothing wasted
Oh! My! Goodness! All of this video is precious & I just love all ya’s so very much! (Which I know probably sounds strange to feel love for an entire “family of families” that I don’t truly know.) HOWEVER, the most precious part is listening to little Ira’s sounds!!!!!!! I don’t even have to see him, hearing his sweet little sounds made my heart totally swell with pride!! AND!!! Katie!!! You are amazing!! Love you girls’ spirit & love for God, family, people, & our beautiful country. Thank you so very much for sharing your everday lives with all of us! God bless & keep all ya’s !
Truly beautiful!! Matt truly contented as Dad and Grandpa….Austin too …Daddy to be and his lovely wife and family! You’re all always gratefull, content , God fearing , always ready to help one another, no rotten word out of your mouth….you all encourage, upbuild, strengthen and commend one another! You are all kind, kind and kind! So refreshing to see you all live by Bible standards!
Here's a tip I'll share with you on the yarn issue. Now I have hundreds of cakes of yarn! No joke. I have a large wooden chest I keep it in and a bunch of totes too lol! I'm an unrecovering yarnaholic! Anyway, I got a yarn winder you can use to make cakes out of your yarn which also makes them easier to store. If you don't have much left from a skein, you can choose what colors to tie together and make what is called a Magic Cake. I use those yarn scraps to make what they call a 'scrapghan'. You can make a blanket out of those that's so pretty and use them for throws. You can also crochet those scraps into solid granny squares that store easily and once you have enough you can make blankets, bags, hats, vests and all sorts of things. Even if you only have a few minutes to crochet, you can still make a lot to use up later. Crocheting in my happy place. 😁
I just love watching your family. Your new home is beautiful Corie . I love listening to the birds and water outside is so refreshing and relaxing. Prayers for your granny and momma. ❤️🙏❤️
Chives are great and chive blossom vinegar is wonderful! My chives are doing so great this year and I’m planting garlic chives this year yum! God bless
That’s really cool! I have friends that saw different variations of the eclipse. But here in Florida it just got a little darker like cloudy and that’s it. Nothing exciting. Glad you got to see something more exciting than us.
Thank you for allowing us to see the back of Ira's head. I know you have to protect him, but could you let us know some of the particulars( without showing him) such as, was the delivery what you expected? How much did he weigh? How long was he? How long you were in labor? If all that is too much, or too personal, please forgive me. I was just curious!😊
Do you know what you always get with this channel? Peace. Contentment. No drama. No negativity. Just good people enjoying a good life in the Appalachian Mountains. We should all be this happy and wholesome.

Lol, as I’m listening to the rain on your video, it’s thundering outside here. That was one tall strawberry short cake tower.😅. I did not think we’d see any of the eclipse either but it was seen here. Another thing that hit home was Corie holding baby boy and pregnant. (Which I know probably sounds strange to feel love for an entire “family of families” that I don’t truly know.)
HOWEVER, the most precious part is listening to little Ira’s sounds!!!!!!!

Austin & Corie living on the edge of the gorgeous woods 💚
wow.... that desert looked amazing! I bet it was delish!
Glad Granny is progressing. Love your updates and you sharing what viewers have shared with you. Take care.
I just love watching your family. Your new home is beautiful Corie . I love listening to the birds and water outside is so refreshing and relaxing. Prayers for your granny and momma. ❤️🙏❤️
Ending was so peaceful, thank you.
So nice to get your new home all settled in. Comforting your nephew. Great mowing job Austin. Hello papa Matt. 😊❤

Awe I loved this video! That's what it's all about!
Love your new place! Great yard! Would love love that mile-high shortcake, too!
As always, thanks for the tour. I did hear of the eclipse. Top work by Austin, and that Supper looked tops. :)
Tip for using baking paper…crumple it up then line your dish..it lays in better. Love you guys! Blessings❤
