My fear with eliminating property tax instead of reducing it in certain states that have border cities that are basically one city is that it could possibly really hurt the cities property values that border a state with no property taxes. I live in a MN city that borders a ND city and that would potentially have a huge impact on my property value. Fargo/Moorhead and Grand Forks/East Grand Forks are 2 border cities. I’m all for no property taxes but if one state has it that has a border city that is essentially the same city the people currently living in the state with property taxes are going to have the value of their home really hurt potentially.

My fear with eliminating property tax instead of reducing it in certain states that have border cities that are basically one city is that it could possibly really hurt the cities property values that border a state with no property taxes. I live in a MN city that borders a ND city and that would potentially have a huge impact on my property value. Fargo/Moorhead and Grand Forks/East Grand Forks are 2 border cities. I’m all for no property taxes but if one state has it that has a border city that is essentially the same city the people currently living in the state with property taxes are going to have the value of their home really hurt potentially.
