Adventure Grom Off Road Mods Install: Pegs, Fork Guards, Front Fender, and Buckin' Roll Tank Bag

- The Adventure Grom build is really starting to come together! Today, we're adding several off road Grom mods including the Two Brothers Grom footpegs, Honda Monkey fork guards, a motard-style front fender that will be much better than the stock one off road, and the Giant Loop Buckin' Roll tank bag, a perfect minimalist solution for any rider who doesn't like tank bags or for a small bike like my Honda Grom. The upgraded off road foot pegs for the Honda Grom go on super quickly and easily, as you can see in the video. These billet aluminum pegs are much wider and offer much better grip in the muddy, sloppy dual sport style conditions we're likely to be riding the Adventure Grom in. After that, we remove the front fender and add fork guards from a Honda Monkey, which bolt straight on to the Grom with no modifications. We're also adding a motard-style off road high fender, but I had a little trouble with the install, but luckily it's nothing some gorilla tape can't fix! The final touch of this stage of the off road Grom build is the super awesome Buckin Roll tank bag from Giant Loop!

That is so crazy, i literally put new footpegs on my DRZ and just got back from the test ride to see this!
Looking good. Especially with that new front fender!
Fender was gonna crack eventually offroad 😁 looking good!
Because of your video I got the tusk Traverse bags for my klx300 and am really loving them! Used your link so hopefully you got cred
I did get credit for a pair, so that must have been you. I appreciate the support! Next vid is actually Lil's review of those bags ;)
I keep my first aid supplies on one side, and my bike tools/flat repair in the other. Keeps the weight down on the camelback for long rides
Grommy has a scar, its truly a sexy machine now
Figured I might as well get the first one out of the way
Nice upgrade. 🤙 another quick fix for broken plastics is superglue and baking soda. Apply glue to the contact point and sides, then immediately toss on soda. It creates an instant bond that is tough as nails.
Thanks for the tip!
I also heard that removing the rubber pad on the foot peg leaves a similar metal peg to the one you installed.
The fender reminds me of Mad Magazine’s Spy Vs Spy. Maybe it’s more like an F-22 Raptor. It’s a good look for it.
Da look is where it's at!!
Welcome back cotter pin.
Thanks
Ty.
Motard fender looks much better, but it reminds me of a cycloptic robot plague doctor. :-D
All of the Grom stuff is kind of interesting, but I'm guessing it's attracting a different audience. It's not doing much for me but I hope it's keeping the rest of the gang entertained. Just my guess but I think the majority of people that originally came to the channel are more interested in full sized motorcycles. But maybe I'm wrong. Either way, thanks for all the content.
I'm not turning this into a Grom channel or anything. It's just a fun project to mess around with. Lots of AT, DRZ, and other content to come.
I do think people will be surprised what this thing will do in the woods, though. Had a pretty good adventure on it last Sunday.
@@DorkintheRoad I enjoy the grom stuff. I'll probably never own one but I still find it interesting. I like your content doesn't matter what bike you're on. Who knows maybe some day I'll end up with one. If I did it would be adventured out like yours.
Thank you very much. I appreciate that
@@DorkintheRoad I'll have to get a leg up on a Grom sometime and maybe I could appreciate it more. They're just so small and pit bike like. I know they are capable and fun though. Thanks for the response!
@@steveh1510 people will never understand the minis. Had a hayabusa at 17 I'm 32 now. Plenty of bikes nothing is more fun than the minis
I just ordered 2022 abs grom. I want to make it an adventure bike. Do ya know anywhere I can get the following
Rear cargo rack which will still allow me to go 2 up.
Hand guards full aluminum wrap around
Tinted wind screen
Off road fork fog lights
In your video you mentioned relocating the brake line. I just picked up one of these fenders off eBay and have been curious about a solution given the brake line stay from the OG fender is no longer feasible.
Did you come up with a solution? Or you just letting it hang?
Great videos! I might miss your videos, which rear rack did you put on this grom? Is it 2022 model?
It came with the bike, so I'm not sure which rack it is exactly.
Can you link the fork guards?
Since you said monkey "monkey fn a football" comes to mind
cant find this fender on ebay anymore. if anyone finds it drop a link
I think a skid plate should be in the near future. Hate to see you crush that pipe.
Yeah that header is definitely the most vulnerable part of this build. Sadly, there is only one company that makes a skidplate that covers the pipe and you lose so much ground clearance I don't think it's really worth it. I'm just gonna be careful and plan on spending the 50 bucks to replace the header pipe here and there, I guess.
I just went to get the washers to hold the back luggage bar on the back ao i can haul small stuff.
Juat teying to get a better understanding of how to get them installted without my jimmy rigged ass.
you were going to put gorilla tape on it anyway so just go with the flow. if I even noticed I would never have told you....well not until I had a couple of bourbons
