By far your best video. Love the music, really set the tone. Motorcycling should be about fun. It's turned into status symbol centric, bikes getting too big too tall too heavy too complicated and too expensive. Makes me love my XT250 which I can just go out and enjoy...and now think about motocamping! Also great demo of GL system. Can't wait for part 2.

I find highways just plain boring. In 1972 I met a Dutch couple they had motorcycle camped most of Europe over 4000 miles On? 2 NSU Quickly mopeds. 30mph top speed with just hikers back packs

I have a BMW 1200GS, Husqvarna 701 and a Grom. I live close to a lot of cool camping spots, I’ll have to try camping off the Grom this spring. I found TH-camr “unroof” videos real interesting. He’s a Japanese guy that camps off small bikes, sometimes in the winter.
Best part of this video is the optical illusion at 11:05 when you reach back to what my brain assumes is a regular size motorcycle far away, and go right into your tank bag, because it's right there. It's a Grom. Humour performed with munted depth perception and I love it.
Congratulations on going full time! Great video and just in time. I'm planning a round trip adventure on my Kymco Spade from Gresham Oregon to Mountain Home Idaho in a couple weeks (around 1200 miles). Videos like this give me inspiration and hope that I'm not totally insane. I've done trips like that on my big bike, but wanted to make it more challenging and slower paced. I'll be packing minimal and getting needed supplies as I go, so light weight and less comfort. Visiting a friend in Idaho so will have a day of comfort and rest. I look forward to your next video!
Your not crazy. I've done huge trips on my Tao TBR7 250cc that I've made into an adventure bike. Lots and lots of mods. No problem on backroads doing 65mph but I prefer dirt backcountry roads.

Their stuff is mostly awesome when the right amount of water is added ( much better than The MREs uncle sugar foisted over on us ). Keep up the great work and the cool content. I recently had my saddlebags catch fire from my exhaust on a klr650 , I'll look into those bags and a panier rack to keep them away from the exhaust this time
So I also do not like Mountain House meals. But I eat a TON of MRE's as I spend about 1-2 months in the backcountry each year. So the best in my opinion? Backpackers Pantry. Also pair them with things like softshell tortillas, crackers, or flatbread for variety. 😊😊

Kinda jealous here. I live in the middle of a bunch of state forest land, but NONE of it is open to bikes. Hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, but to get to any land where motorcycles are allowed on I have to go about 130 miles from home. I'm in SE Michigan.
We have the same problem on the lakes - There are a couple of places where you can put in a kayak or canoe at state park landings, but then there's no non-private land on many lakes so you can't put in to eat lunch. Every inch of shoreline is private.
Makes me feel less guilty about my abusive trail riding on my CB300. There was no CRF300 when i bought it and it can do 80mph up mountain passes and gets decent fuel range and believe it or not has more ground clearance than the NC750x and when on clearance i paid 1000 bucks more than a new Grom for it. A North Face small duffel strapped on the passenger seat held all my camping gear for 4 days.
I like that Grom. If it's not too small for you then I should be just fine with one. I come from Gold Wings, XX's and Honda ST's. Now I'm ready to have some fun. Did you make a vid on what all you did to the Grom to make it Adventure Grom ?
Just went camoping last weekend. Got very much frustrated at how my sleepin G bag and my sleeping pad tried to distance themselves from me. I order the 15° big agnes because of the features it has. Hopefully it will work with my sea to summit pad. I thinks it will.
I've got a $1,500 Tao TBR7 250cc (Chonda) and I do Adventure Motorcycle trips for days at a time. It's all b.s. that you need to buy $10k+ bikes to have amazing adventures. I wonder how much weight the Gromm can carry because he must weigh 300+ lbs plus all the gear? I think they are actually rated for 250lbs.
Did you do anything with the suspension? I'm torn between getting a Mini-Moto or something a little bigger (400cc+) I keep leaning back to the Grom for the price and how much cheaper it is for the upgrades (go fast parts).

No racks needed with the Great Basin bags and they come with a heat shield that works well
