    I’ve always used hairspray to get all my grips on. From bmx to dirt bikes, you spray it on the bar end liberally and you quickly slide on the grips and wait for the spray to dry in place. It’s like a light glue then they won’t move 🤙

    I hope that clutch cable location doesn’t interfere with its operation. I would not go far with out making sure it works well. Hopefully you don’t have to get a extension or a longer cable. Another great video!!!! Thanks for your time & effort, they’re great videos & content!!!!

      It's been good on a few rides so far. I got it from another grom mod video. Seems like a pretty common mod so I'm pretty confident in it

    Thanks for this video. Before I was worried about my 6'2” and 200lbs on a CRF300L. Not any more.

    I started doing some local trails with mine and soon found that low exhaust is a real issue. I’d love to raise it an inch and add a skid plate. I haven’t found what I need yet. I also have a Husqvarna 701 enduro and BMW 1200GS but the Grom gets a fair amount of use also.

      Yup that lack of ground clearance (and squishy front suspension) is really the Achilles heel of what is otherwise a surprisingly capable trail bike.

      Here’s my Grom on a technical trail. Yes, I did smash my exhaust pipe!

    I found that the clutch lever boot pushes on the lever a bit on my aftermarket levers that are similar to yours. I folded it in half, so it still covers what it needs to, but won't potentially burn up the clutch by slightly disengaging it. Not sure if it would, but better safe than sorry I guess, right? Lol

    Good vid. A bit confused on why you swapped for bars with less rise when you felt leaned forward already. Why not add risers to the stock bars? Were new bars wider?

    thx for sharing, good vid.
    why would you ever drop it, considering you're flat foot all the time, with knees bent 90 degrees.

  • @djhowse
    @djhowse 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was hyperventilating watching through my fingers waiting for you to drop something on the tank :-) phew, great job, but next time pleeeeease put a towel across the tank to protect it from dropped wrenches or components. Just sayin..

    I have never understood why people take off perfectly good things like handle bars, grips, etc., and put on new ones that are essentially the same. What a waste of time and money.

      Have you seen the stock Grom handlebars? They're off like a girls bike from the 1970's. They're also not sturdy enough to stand up to multiple drops. So, yeah, sometimes people have valid reasons.
