That box is just ridiculous
Dead guy inside though the same thing... 😂
so is that exhaust
It'd be super cool if you made a video showing all of your mods and how to install them.
- "Hey guys, this is my Lifan Expect!"
- shows large metal cube
seriously though, that box is huge lol I laughed when I saw it on that little bike
Yeah, she's a Glamping Motorcycle and interstate nimble.
I bought the same bike this year. I only logged 300 miles on it so far since I have 2 other bikes. I really like the bike. Seems like it's just starting to smooth out. I'll be doing my second oil change soon because I'm paranoid. 😂.
My Lifan is a 2006 LF200 GY 5. 200cc dualsport and I am still riding it in 2024, or will be as soon as it warms up outside. Bought it new from a local dealer. 1650.00 OTD. Bike has been very good. Only have replaced the tires and a couple of batteries. The original battery lasted three years. Never let me down on the road just a very reliable bike. 200cc does very well I am 180 lbs. six foot tall.
wow nice 1
I bought mine in 2021. Great bike.
You've got this bike flyin!! Specs say 65 top speed.
Hiw much do u weigh?
3 questions for you.
First question-Would you trust running this bike stock, at 60mph for 1.5hours?
Second question-Would you trust running your bike with your addons, at 70mph for 1.5 hours?
Third question-How much did all the mods for performance add up to on your bike?
I'm new to motorcycles. I'm currently in between this bike and a Suzuki DRZ400. There's about a $5000 difference between the bikes haha. I was settled on the DRZ until I watched your video.
I've gone through the Skyway and up to Cleveland between 70-75 and I'd say almost 20% of it's miles are interstate. It'll run cool on 10 hour rides with just an oil cooler and the 17 tooth sprocket, which I've done dozens of times. Though I'd recommend the KPX instead of the mods, it honestly would have been cheaper. Though a DRZ is more of a SuperMoto and if that's what your looking for it's in a whole other class than this dual sport. If I were to build another 110+Mpg motorcycle I'd build an Yamaha MT-15, it's a 19Hp Liquid Cooled 155cc EFI and under 2K shipped to my door through their Indian Importer on AliExpress with all three EPA Forms. www.yamaha-motor-india.com/yamaha-mt-15-v2.html For under 2K shipped with a company that doesn't charge extra for the EPA or MCO I might take a chance on another 110+Mpg sometime. a.aliexpress.com/_mPJnWHk Though for now I'm actually covered with a fuel plan and a Sattelite Reciever on my Muscle Bike. With a 4.6/1 - Power/Weight Ratio she's fast, but not as good for mountain roads with 300 miles between fill stations.
Not sure if you took the plunge since you asked this, but I, too, would recommend the Lifan KPX 250 for about $1k more. You would sit at 60 all day long with it remaining stock. I bet 70 would be no problem with a sprocket change and not much else needed. Of course wind always slows you down, but remaining at 60 mph with wind would be realistic with the KPX. Bit larger engine combined with the 6 speed is the sweet spot.
So which would you pick. The kpx250 or the Xpect 250. I saw some add for the xpect 250. Lookd more offroad capable. I have a xpect 200 efi as a farm and trail bike for friends but looking for one for bro in law
In the US we only have access to the 200cc lifan xpect. It seems to me that the XPect is more trail oriented but can be tamed a bit with a 17T front sprocket, and the Kpx250 is more of an all rounder with a 6th gear and more highway capable engine (though my xpect can tolerate highway with a 17T front sprocket.) Either are pretty similar use cases - dualsports with large fuel ranges, I would say it's just a matter of budget primarily, and if he can tolerate the higher seat height on the KPX250.
I have this same bike and I changed out the front sprocket for the 17-t one but, I don't get nearly those speeds. 60mph-65mph seems to be the best I get out of this bike.
Am I missing other modifications you've done to the bike?
He also did some other things. Different exhaust and different fuel infection system and different ignition timing and a few more things. His is an example of how far you can push this bike to go, definitely not how fast it's going to do stock.
What did you use for fuel injection/ignition adjustments? Thanks.
www.electronicjetkit.com This Kit makes Fuel Injection System Tuning accessible even on my 2011 GV650, it's pretty awesome and a direct wireup.
Im fixing to get one of these next month.78mph is great! Can i ask your weight?
I went by my chiropractor this week and weighed 190 on the scale.
Do you not know how sound works? And, whats the deal with the box? I couldnt hear anything you said.....
I’m gonna be buying this bike soon. I need it to get to work 30 miles on freeway (55mph) what first mods would you do to make it better for those speeds?
Honestly, it'll do fine speed wise at 60Mph. It just really needs the oil cooler and the 17 tooth front sprocket.
Have you checked and adjusted he valves? What kind if a job on this bike?
Have to remove top cover of engine, very tight clearnences there. Some opt to take off the gas tank but I didnt, I have an odd angle ratcheting wrench it and slid the top cover off to have access to the valves. There's two of them, and you use a feeler gauge to get them to the right spec (can't remember off the top of my head.) It's not too bad of a job and doesn't need to be done too often, but does need to be done straight from the factory.
Can you list the mods and where to get them please. Thanks
These are a few of my Lifan's Parts along with a much easier tuning system. 😁

These are some of the parts I've installed from Amazon and the Electronic Jet Kit is almost universal within rev limits and displacements. Lifan and Bosch designed a really fuel efficient EFI System and it leaves a fair bit of room for tuning. Also, setting both valves at 0.06 is the new service recommendation now as well. 🏍🖖🏍
Thank you!
@@rpb1961 Your welcome, Lifans are great motorcycles and really easy to maintain.
Did you have to get the ECU flashed after chainging exhaust and was it a full exhaust replacement with O2 sensor?
I'm thinking about buying one of these. I have to wear nice clothes for work. Do I need the components rub grease or anything like that off on the pants??? and stuff?
I have a white collar job and ride this to work in chinos.
Super cool! Did you get your Xpect from a dealer or online?
I got mine from PowerSportsMax and their parts support has been great.
That phone is really messing with the dangerzone center of vision. Not where I'd put it.
Doubtful on top speed I sold Bashan 250 top speed 58 mph !
How did you install your windscreen
Is it carburated? Why does it struggle idling?
Something is definitely wrong with his bike, that is not how it idles normally.
@@domenik8339 they idle like shit from a cold start. thats how they are. you have to adjust the idle air screw to an extreme to force rev surging to keep the bike from stalling. basically any weather under 45F you have to do this or sit waiting until its over which can take almost 5 minutes when its real cold.
@@spp6849 I dunno man, I'm from the PNW and have ridden the stock version of this exact bike under freezing and it's never idled for me like that. Mine is at 1300 miles so I would have noticed by now for sure.
@@domenik8339 it's a common issue. Reported multiple times on forums. Something with the intake air temperature sensor. The idle is fine in summer. You deal with it or have it surge to stay on (mainly for those who use it for work)
@@spp6849 Could you please link those forums to me? I want to be ready in case it becomes an issue for me.
Just got mine today it smoked a little from first ride is that normal
The oil it's shipped with needs to be replaced with 30 weight mineral oil which Royal Purple has and the valves are usually fully closed so adjusting them from day one is usually worthwhile.
im thinking about getting one and what type of fuel does it take
87
Non-ethonal
16k omg and im worried about my lifan hitting 6k
Is it 250cc?
