      LOL--I delivered for Joe's Pizza in Hollywood, California on a TGB brand (Taiwanese, not Chinese) 2-stroke scooter. It was actually the company's bike. There was no limiter, so the thing could hit around 45mph, and got me up and down the Hollywood hills, as well as all around the flat parts. I couldn't imagine delivering any other way! They had the same bike at their downtown L.A. shop which, again, I couldn't imagine delivering any other way, but I was often sent to work in the San Fernando Valley store which someone had wrecked the scooter, so I ended up driving the company's Prius. The parking lot alone would have been worth the company buying a replacement scooter, but, I ended up quitting in the fall of 2019, months before COVID, and I moved out of L.A.

      Hey Mr. Callahan. Thanks for the feedback about the bike. Must have been a great moment when it fired right up! Beating the system by getting a good bike for a fraction of what the dealers charge is just something that needs to be done sometimes, especially with a bike that you may want to thrash around extra hard. May sound stupid, but I think red is the way to go with the X-Pect. Looks bloody ready! How's the bike been since you bought it a year ago? An update would be appreciated by all. Thanks!

      I doubt you could even find a better starter bike. Nice low seat height and just the right amount of power for a beginner. I picked mine up last weekend used with less than 200 miles but almost 1K off original price and it has been an absolute joy. This thing is gonna take me so many places. It might be the best on road handling dualsport I've ever ridden.

      @MichaelWhite-cx4ho ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The problem with the $4,000 KTM Duke 200 is the same problem with any bike that is advertised at the msrp; the actual price you pay out the door is usually much much higher because of setup fees, documentation fees, logistic fees, and a mountain of other fees that most dealers charge in order to maintain their brick and mortar overhead. We definitely need those dealers at times for premium bikes we want and premium service and parts counter access, but for an inexpensive bike you just want to toss around, it's nice to cut out the middleman for something like a 200cc Lifan that you can put the handlebars on, connect the speedometer, tighten bolts, put in a little gas and go! Trust me, the prices for these bikes are rising fast and will continue to do so!

    If you want to hammer on your bike like this do not buy a China bike. Ride a China bike like a China bike. You need to have respect for the lower quality and if you do, they will reward you with long term service. Riding like this guy will reward you with short term ownership. All components are of lower quality so you simply cannot hammer on them. How you ride it determines how long you will ride it. Simple as that. My 2006 Lifan LF 200 GY 5 200cc dualsport bought new in 2006 is going fine in 2024. Oil changes, tires, batteries, and valve adjustments are all it has needed. Been a very good bike. But I ride it like I have some sense, and like a China bike should be ridden.

  • @frankjgornickjr3676
    @frankjgornickjr3676 ปีที่แล้ว

    As far as I'm concerned no one should ride a bike unless they know how to work on it! You should have put it together yourself so you know how things go so how things operate you're missing out! It could mean the difference between your life for your death learn how to work on your new motorcycle it will give you a better understanding of if you know how to work on it!
