12:19 sometimes the self-sabotage is because you are scared that something may be too good to be true like you said, but it could also be that you don't really want what you are working towards anymore. Either because it's not big enough (i.e. it actually doesn't scare you enough) or you are just a new person. New level, new devils applies to dreams/goals too.

Journaling has helped me make sense of so many of my intrusive thoughts. Whenever one comes in I remind myself that thoughts are just thoughts, I have the power to validate or invalidate them. It’s my choice what to believe and how to act. Limiting beliefs are meant to keep us stagnant, which is why I think it’s also important to keep your bigger picture goal in mind. Reassess - will giving in to this thought get me to where I want to be? Would I say this to anyone else? And then I usually feel better because it serves as a reminder that I’m the one in control.

It’s crazy how this happens. When things are going amazing, sometimes I find I’m forcing myself to not be happy, waiting for the shoe to drop because things are too good to be true.
But for me it’s about letting go of control and to allow myself to be uncomfortable to get where I want to be. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

It happens to me whenever i start to dress more elegant, i noticed that a part of my brain literally says to me: Who do you think you are to improve? And i feel voices in my head of people that when i was younger bullied me or tried to let me down whenever something good happened to me related to my external appearence. I observe this and try to journal to understand what's going on.

It is so easy to be a victim of self-sabotaging thoughts. It can be difficult to believe in your worth when you are putting yourself down, feel like an imposter, don't set boundaries, and make sacrifices only for others and never for yourself. When we let go of what is holding us back from living authentically and take back our thoughts, then we can be free and live #fearless. Thanks for this video!

😵 I literally experienced your exact example this morning… I sat down to journal and meditate and as soon as it came time to meditate my brain started saying, “well that’s an extra 15-20 minutes of productivity that you’re losing out on. You could just jump into work and get started right away”. I ended up being able to push through it and had the best meditation in a while! So crazy though that our mind does this!! Tries to convince us not to do what I actually really wanted to do this morning and looked forward to doing but my brain had other motives 😂 love this video topic!! ♥️

1:13 Girl, I agree! 😭😂 I like your tips. I write about my negative thoughts and experiences in my diary. After that, I'm less overwhelmed. In my journal, I design realistic solutions and recognize things that are under my control. Being smartly selfish it's helpful as well. I mean to work and earn just enough to survive and live according to my values or ideals. Stoicism and Schopenhauer's philosophy shape these strategies. That's what I do instead of therapy cause of lack of money (but I would like to go soon) 🙌

Hi ! I really admire your videos and they come at the perfect timing. As of right now, I'm learning to have a more positive outlook and let positives outweigh the negatives, because I noticed when I focus more on the negatives and constantly consumed by it, I get in this mindset where I think everything is wrong, everything is out of my control, and I want to just leave it there and let the negativity consume me and I end up wanting to sabotage myself and run away from everything but those thoughts are not true, and I have too much purpose to run away from everything. So I stop focusing on the negtatives ( yes, I'm aware of them but I don't let them control me) I let the positive thoughts replace each negative thought and let positivity drive me. That was a lot but I needed to get that off my chest and help other ppl that may be struggling to, I promise we both got this ❤.

After many many years of trying to find the time and financial resources to make art and become an artist despite a debilitating physical condition (Endometriosis & Fibro), I finally made some great progress with stability and routine! I was anxious I was going to have to separate myself (temporarily) from what I built and my routines, and got into a car accident! Since I dont have insurance, after years of living on a tiny income and saving every penny so I can become an artist, I now will have $20k debt. It all just happened in a second when i was not present. Its brought up all the self sabotage feelings I held down and didnt address most of my life... it all hit me like a truck. EXACTLY when I was finally making progress :(:(

This girl is really good at making super clear, fluid and relatable/ informative videos. Its super impressive. Love you Lynette! super glad I found your channel. I feel like I relate to you so so much being the same age and everything. Crazy how internally we really are all going though almost the same thing even though our external worlds may be a little different.

Hell yeah! I literally have to remind myself of this all the time and do opposite action method, but it definitely helps. I work from home and am basically "on call" all hours of the day...there is down time and I get chores done too which is good, but I have a lot of time to think and have to an expert of redirecting my thoughts from fear towards love. All a balance, but keeping my own happiness is invaluable, even though it must be lost at times to be human.

Thank you so much for your advice - I really needed this. I've always struggled in getting stuck in that negative cycle and forgetting that I have to work hard spiritually to understand my mental health. I wish I understood this sooner, but better now than never. Let's continue to make and achieve promises everyday to work towards our ultimate goals. :)

Thank you so much for the video!!! Lately I've been feeling really unproductive and have been repeatedly self-sabotaging myself. It has been frustrating but i realized, as you already mentioned, that I just have to take things one step at a time and chill about it. What has really helped me is spending time with Jesus and just getting my mentality ready for the day.
Thanks again for the video, it really helped me put things into perspective!!!
