Beautiful looking steaks! I’ve been using Grill Grates for a few weeks now. The grates give really nice diamond patterns, but I actually prefer using the flat top side for a better crust.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. I see a lot of people doing that. I’ve never done it tho I got a flat top griddle. I use it just for steaks, burgers and brat.
claude00 Thanks for watching I appreciate it. Yeah I try not to but when I do 4 steak I don’t have much room left. But I’m only cooking one for competition I never use the same spot.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. I was searing my steaks. Those grill grates was at about 600 degrees. And I didn’t want the residual heat to start cooking the other side so I could get a nice lines on it
The maker of this video is kinda clueless as you can tell by the raw steaks in the end. YES they DO make a 2 panel and I wish people making videos and answering comments were informed enough to give advice...
Well mister know it all. I order some for my kettle and it came in a 3 piece set. I ordered a set for my Rec Teq and it came in 3 pieces. But yes you can just order one. If that’s all you want and what makes you an expert on grill grates. So I think your kinda clueless good day Richard (Dick)
@@chrisdomenici9107 I like to get them hot around 550-600 degrees. Cool about 1 1/2 minute do a quarter turn and back down for another 1 1/2 then flip and repeat the process. If it’s not done to your liking by then remove it from the grill grates and place it to the side opposite the fire. Then let finish there till you reach your desired temp.
Jarrod Evans Thanks for watching I appreciate it. Yeah they are high but they are worth it. They make some of the best marks on a steak. And you can flip them over and do hamburgers almost like a griddle
@@offthewallsbbqmore4821 Yes, sir. I have a set of these on my Weber and did smash burgers on the flat side one night. I haven't hadn't a burger with grill marks since. I think my family would disown me if I did it any other way. Grill Grates are a bit pricey, but are worth it in my opinion. Enjoy all your videos. Thanks.
Do not oil your grill grates or your proteins. A brand is what you're going for because its crunchy and flavorfull. Oil prevents this. Just like branding a cow its gonna stick a bit thats why the special spatula as well. To get under your meat to lift it because it sticks and its supposed to... PS:first one was RAW! Help that by cooking w/your lids down....
And by the looks of you’re channel your a real grill expert. Not one single video on cooking or grilling or a video of anything. So thanks mister expert for you useless comment
@@offthewallsbbqmore4821 The directions for the GRILL GRATES SAY EXACTLY WHAT I SAID. But you're obviously an ANGRY child that doesn't need directions to misinform....
So who cares what the directions say. I do it my way. The way that has won me 2,3 place at steak cook off. And when I got mine it says to season the grill grates. So like I said I’ll cook my steaks the way I want and you do yours the way you want.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. Can’t go wrong there!! If beef wasn’t so high around here I’d buy a whole prime ribeye and have the cut about 1 1/2 thick. But I’ll have to wait till it’s not $15.99 a pound
Off the Walls BBQ & More agree 100%, partner. Got a set of GG’s yesterday, can’t wait to try some steaks.....one day in the distant future😄 Happy Fathers Day 🙏🏼🇺🇸🙏🏼
I'm not picking on the video but those must be some shity steaks if you have to cover them with All That seasoning! A good steak should only need a little bit of salt

Never use the same spot when you do the 45 degree turn. My own opinion

I have that same grill... I was wondering what size grill grates did you order? 🤔
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. They are 19.5 inches. I got them with my Rec Teq Bull.
Why are you not closing the lid? It helps the meat cook faster. Looks great though man!

Jelly Bryce They come in a set of 3 pieces. And yes it’s plenty of room. I have a set for a Weber Kettle as well. Thanks for watching I appreciate it

What temp did you cook your last two steaks?
Thanks for watching I appreciate it. I always shoot for a temp of 130-135 on my steaks
What was your grill temp?

No actually they don’t. And the cow cover and Texas beef enhance the beef flavor not cover it up. Thanks for watching I appreciate it
