You say that reactabait nothing to do with the artists themselves. I'd like to ask why Dimash and Diana - independent artists most popular in non-western countries, are reactabaits, and Nightwish, Jinjer, NF, etc. are not?
Jinjer (pisces) is reactabait and Nightwish (ghost love score - live at wacken) is reactabait. Not sure about NF. Unfortunately I only realised what reactabait was long after I did my initial Nightwish and Jinjer video. I did those videos in response to overwhelming requests. So when I start getting overwhelming requests for other artists, I can start smelling reactabait from a mile away. Reactabait is what the fans make them. So it has to do with the way the fans view the artists. There’s a lot more reactabait out there. The more obsessed the fans are, the more favourably they’ll respond to confirmation bias in a “reactor” giving a favourable reaction, the more likely they’ll click subscribe to see more reaction content on their favourite artist. This leads to short term subscriber gain and long term subscriber loss and stress for the content creator in trying to now film reactions to the initial reactabait artists to keep subscribers who are not really subscribed for them anyway (and just their love for their one artist) Many reactors are scared of giving negative thoughts on reactabait, and one brave channel that I know did to Dimash. Just gotta find more reactabait and discourage people to subscribe to me for it 😉 In starting my channel as a reaction channel, I quickly realised the role reactabait plays in subscriber counts for reaction channels. I want to do reactabait, but call out reaction channels’ motivation for doing them at the same time. To call out people who watch reactors react to reactabait and instantly subscribe off the back of one video. I’m hoping that each reactabait video I do, the less I’ll see my subscriber count jump as a result. It took me a long time to do Dimash because I knew what it would have meant for my channel, and I couldn’t handle that, until I realised what reactabait was. I lost a bunch of subscribers in the last week (which is fine), but despite my warnings on this video, my subscriber count has jumped again after releasing this one 🤔 Reactabait
@@TheMuserResolute I think the way you single out certain artists and their fans by this designation is not justified because reactions are made in response to fans' requests. You may avoid "reactabait" only if you yourself choose whom to react to. The fact that reactors respond to requests starts the chain of events which you present in a negative light ("obsessed fans", "confirmation bias", "stress for the content creator", "scared" reactors). In fact, this is a normal chain of events - fans are by definition "obsessed", they request reactions to their beloved artist and want to hear good things, if they like the reaction, they put likes and subscribe, if not, they put dislikes, argue in comments and unsubscribe, if reactors don't like everything about the artist, they voice their opinions and have the choice to not react to the artist in the future. This difference in opinions does not necessarily mean that fans are wrong and the reactor is right or vice versa - it is a discussion with different variables in different cases.
Only honesty in my videos. Absolutely cannot release something I’m not honest about. I think the only critique anyone could ever give of her is that her voice may not suit their taste, which is completely subjective. I look at music as objectively as possible, so if I were to ever give critiques, they’d be from an objective standpoint

This is a Russian talent show called You Are Super and it is for orphans and children that had a rough upbringing. It gives them a chance to change their fate. Diana is unflappable. Diana had an abusive mother. She was starved, beaten and burned with cigarettes. Her mother even tried to drown her in the tub but was stopped by her family. At 3 years old Diana was found on the street in the winter with a broken collarbone. Her mother's family did not want her as they believed she was mentally slow. Diana did not speak. Either she was never taught how or was traumatized or both. She was put into an orphanage where she knew no one and could not communicate, She spent 2 yrs there. A woman named Irina who worked in the orphanage brought her 16 yr old daughter Nastia to work with her. Nastia saw the crying 5 year old and told her mother that if she didn't sign the papers and bring her home with them that she would do it as soon as she was old enough to. Irina did bring Diana home. They brought her to a speech therapist and he said if they could get her to sing it would help getting her to speak. Sing she did. Diana is now a beautiful, healthy happy 18 year old with a positive attitude and an INCREDIBLE talent. At 10 years old she sang live on a Russian radio station that was not planned. She sang Oh, Darling by The Beatles in ENGLISH! The girl who didn't even speak 5 years earlier. There is a TH-cam video of it and I would suggest you react to that. Her version of Rechenka (the River) from the You Are Super show is a Russian folk song and in my opinion her best performance. Call her Reactabait or whatever, she is an INCREDIBLE TALENT and has the most unique voice I have ever heard.

I can agree somewhat, with you about kids and these shows. This show is a completely different variant, as you have already read. Diana was born for this! It has always been Diana's decision about singing; not very long ago, she was not sure if she wanted to continue towards a singing career (we are so happy she did). Record labels, contracts, managers etc.. Are the real problem, I think. I, personally want her to keep control of her singing career and build on the YT platform. She can become famous and wealthy from song/album and merch sales. Also, nobody will be able to steer her away from playing with that once-in-3-lifetimes, unique voice that only she has! Diana is a force. I think she is starting to realize that. She is not just different...Diana is her own world.

Anfortunatly, Diana has been matured very long time ago, and not because of the cruel rools of shows.. She passed through very "hard" childhood... Because of this childhood she had to start singing very early.. That was a therapy for her which helped her to begin speaking (she began speaking well only after these singing lessons) ... And she loved doing it.. She's very, very mature... Some times in her interviews one can hear answers of a very mature woman, not just a girl... It always happens when you have to grown up early....

This show is better than the Voice of the kids. In the season before last, all the finalists (except for Diana) received apartments at their place of residence. Diana already had an apartment, which was presented by Igor Krutoy (he was the last to press the button) for winning a season earlier. The jury and the host of this competition are kind to the participants of the competition. Also, the participants have experienced many difficult moments in life, so this is not a stressful situation for them.

Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human. First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx, and is capable of amazing manipulations. It is a gift from God, and others have called it the Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. @@kiritaia8469 I've been listening to music almost 70 years. During the 1960s, I listened to Cher on the radio all the time. Diana is on a whole other level from Cher. Shakira comes closer to Diana's talent level, but Diana is in a league all her own. Diana does things with her voice that nobody else on earth can do. Dimash is redefining the male voice. Diana is redefining the female voice. I'm just happy that I'm still alive to witness it.
If you go to her youtube site you will see strong evidence that Diana has been doing many of these types of talent shows from an early age and is probably more experienced with them than most singers at 25 years old or more. Doing it in a place like Russia she has definitely been forged in a crucible of fire but no interested observer can deny the quality of the product produced, and it is still not at its potential highest or finished state. She seems to live for the stage and bright lights, and appears completely at home and at ease there.

Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from classical singing....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is polyphonic voice. I would suggest reacting to everything you can find from her. I've been listening to her for over a year now and am still constantly amazed by her voice. She sings in russian, english, french, spanish, and I think arabic. To fully see her voice I would recommend Rechenka, Human, Dernier Danse, Into the Sky, Blizzard, Fastidious Horses, and her new single Happiness. Only Human is in english.
@@TheMuserResolute No, in general i think your comments are correct and these high-stress televised talent shows featuring young singers rarely offer anything of long term value to the prodigies who appear on them. However this Russian show does appear better than most in trying to provide their contestants with on-going education and life support after the show has finished. But still not perfect. I have read Diana saying that these two long competitions took a lot out of her personal life and schooling (Not to mention the reappearance of Diana's abusive birth mother sponging for money for alcohol and drugs) and she does not intend to enter any more. Also there is a Q&A by her music teacher (now sadly deceased) who said that the schedules of the shows impacted badly on Diana's voice training in a difficult period during her teenage growth. How you balance this against the definite plusses I don't know. In this case I think that the opportunity to work with and be supported by the very skilled and proffessional creative team that was collected for these shows enabled the young Diana (and the other contestants) to rise to new heights. In Diana's case, gobsmacking world class heights. ...I was going to add more, but these yt coments are not the place to set the world to rights, are they? lol. You say that reactabait nothing to do with the artists themselves. I'd like to ask why Dimash and Diana - independent artists most popular in non-western countries, are reactabaits, and Nightwish, Jinjer, NF, etc. are not?
Jinjer (pisces) is reactabait and Nightwish (ghost love score - live at wacken) is reactabait. Not sure about NF.
Unfortunately I only realised what reactabait was long after I did my initial Nightwish and Jinjer video. I did those videos in response to overwhelming requests. So when I start getting overwhelming requests for other artists, I can start smelling reactabait from a mile away.
Reactabait is what the fans make them. So it has to do with the way the fans view the artists. There’s a lot more reactabait out there. The more obsessed the fans are, the more favourably they’ll respond to confirmation bias in a “reactor” giving a favourable reaction, the more likely they’ll click subscribe to see more reaction content on their favourite artist. This leads to short term subscriber gain and long term subscriber loss and stress for the content creator in trying to now film reactions to the initial reactabait artists to keep subscribers who are not really subscribed for them anyway (and just their love for their one artist) Many reactors are scared of giving negative thoughts on reactabait, and one brave channel that I know did to Dimash. Just gotta find more reactabait and discourage people to subscribe to me for it 😉
In starting my channel as a reaction channel, I quickly realised the role reactabait plays in subscriber counts for reaction channels. I want to do reactabait, but call out reaction channels’ motivation for doing them at the same time. To call out people who watch reactors react to reactabait and instantly subscribe off the back of one video. I’m hoping that each reactabait video I do, the less I’ll see my subscriber count jump as a result. It took me a long time to do Dimash because I knew what it would have meant for my channel, and I couldn’t handle that, until I realised what reactabait was.
I lost a bunch of subscribers in the last week (which is fine), but despite my warnings on this video, my subscriber count has jumped again after releasing this one 🤔

You may avoid "reactabait" only if you yourself choose whom to react to. The fact that reactors respond to requests starts the chain of events which you present in a negative light ("obsessed fans", "confirmation bias", "stress for the content creator", "scared" reactors). In fact, this is a normal chain of events - fans are by definition "obsessed", they request reactions to their beloved artist and want to hear good things, if they like the reaction, they put likes and subscribe, if not, they put dislikes, argue in comments and unsubscribe, if reactors don't like everything about the artist, they voice their opinions and have the choice to not react to the artist in the future. This difference in opinions does not necessarily mean that fans are wrong and the reactor is right or vice versa - it is a discussion with different variables in different cases.

Only honesty in my videos. Absolutely cannot release something I’m not honest about. I think the only critique anyone could ever give of her is that her voice may not suit their taste, which is completely subjective. I look at music as objectively as possible, so if I were to ever give critiques, they’d be from an objective standpoint
The last judge to hit his button was Composer Igor Krutoy and he waited for a point that wouldn't distract her. This is not The Voice. This is a Russian talent show called You Are Super and it is for orphans and children that had a rough upbringing. It gives them a chance to change their fate. Diana is unflappable. Diana had an abusive mother. She was starved, beaten and burned with cigarettes. Her mother even tried to drown her in the tub but was stopped by her family. At 3 years old Diana was found on the street in the winter with a broken collarbone. Her mother's family did not want her as they believed she was mentally slow. Diana did not speak. Either she was never taught how or was traumatized or both. She was put into an orphanage where she knew no one and could not communicate, She spent 2 yrs there. A woman named Irina who worked in the orphanage brought her 16 yr old daughter Nastia to work with her. Nastia saw the crying 5 year old and told her mother that if she didn't sign the papers and bring her home with them that she would do it as soon as she was old enough to. Irina did bring Diana home. They brought her to a speech therapist and he said if they could get her to sing it would help getting her to speak. Sing she did. Diana is now a beautiful, healthy happy 18 year old with a positive attitude and an INCREDIBLE talent. At 10 years old she sang live on a Russian radio station that was not planned. She sang Oh, Darling by The Beatles in ENGLISH! The girl who didn't even speak 5 years earlier. There is a TH-cam video of it and I would suggest you react to that. Her version of Rechenka (the River) from the You Are Super show is a Russian folk song and in my opinion her best performance. Call her Reactabait or whatever, she is an INCREDIBLE TALENT and has the most unique voice I have ever heard.

Девушка на сцене с 5 лет, ее трудно удивить огромным залом или большим количеством зрителей, она участвовала в десятках и десятках конкурсов во многих городах России и в даже, в Китае, она-закаленный человек, ее закалили выступления на круизных теплоходах, в детских садах, на корпоративах и на свадьбах перед жующими и снующими людьми на улице. Так что данный конкурс для нее не был чем-то страшным, просто еще одна ступень к Олимпу, мы надеемся на это.

it all started ... The Arseniev period lasted from the end of 2008 to September 2012. During this time Diana sang around 40 songs, including at
competitions. Diana's mother became her daughter's manager, she found the addresses of music competitions, negotiated with the organizers and
selected a repertoire. Everything that has to do with Diana's singing training, performances and competitions is organized and coordinated by her mother
Irina Ponik. She is looking for sponsors because flights are expensive and took extra sewing courses. Since then she's been sewing all of Diana's stage
costumes, because all of these things consume the family budget. She accompanies her daughter on trips and captures her life in photos and videos with
the persistence of a visionary. After winning a competition in Moscow, Diana's mother was offered to leave the girl in a boarding school for gifted
children. She refused and in 2012 moved with her small family to her hometown of Toglyatti, much closer to Moscow. Diana now also has a grandma and
has also lost her fear that the woman who gave birth to her would kidnap her. 2013-2015 Diana played in the theater studio of Dmitry Marfin, director of
children's programs at the Togliatti Philharmonic Society, whom Diana valued as 'a real workaholic and fan of her craft'. After her debut on June 3, 2014
(Diana played Becky Thatcher in the jazz musical 'Tom Sawyer and His Friends'), she met Svetlana Ivanovna Vovk, the director and pop singing teacher at
the Togliatti College of Music and Rodion Shchedrin, member of the jury international and national music competitions and Diana's journey continued ...
Diana's voice, her perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a little girl and so she impressed with her talent in over 50 national
and international competitions. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop ... until one day she was asked to compete in more distant
competitions so that other children could have a chance to win. So, in 2017 on February she went to Moscow, at the Russian 'The Voice Kids'. Diana sang

What happened? Next day, a huge scandal broke out in social medias. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition. A door had closed
but a new door opened: In 2018 and 2019, Moscow hosted the 3rd season of a unique international Competition instead of “You are Super”, which was
launched in 2016 specifically for adopted and orphaned children. Diana took part and won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to
TH-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has many millions of fans around the world. The final of the international singing competition for
children 'You are Super' took place in the Kremlin Palace. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote. Diana won a scholarship to
the music college. Igor Krutoy gifted her a small apartment in Moscow so that she could begin her vocal training with the best teachers in Moscow such
as Professor Olga Donskoy (she died of Covid-19 in October 2020). The break of voice made Diana’s voice darker and deeper. During her vocal break, her
voice sometimes went a little crazy. You can hear it in some videos from that time. She has mastered this time very professionally and worked hard to get

Diana has her own auditory, her performances are in many russian cities. Her voice becomes better if it is possible. We wait her first audio disc. March the single from her albom was published. Its name is HAPPINESS (СЧАСТЬЕ in Russian), it is not cover but her own song written for her only. Diana recorded few cover of popular songs at the starting carrier but now she has her ones. INTO THE SKIES, BY YOUR VOICE, WAVE etc . 🙂

This show is better than the Voice of the kids. In the season before last, all the finalists (except for Diana) received apartments at their place of residence. Diana already had an apartment, which was presented by Igor Krutoy (he was the last to press the button) for winning a season earlier. The jury and the host of this competition are kind to the participants of the competition. Also, the participants have experienced many difficult moments in life, so this is not a stressful situation for them.

Here are three reasons why Diana doesn't sound human.
First, she is a dramatic contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich.
Second, she has a spectacular larynx, and is capable of amazing manipulations. It is a gift from God, and others have called it the Eighth Wonder of the World.
Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below)
When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune.
And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in seven billion.

@@kiritaia8469 I've been listening to music almost 70 years. During the 1960s, I listened to Cher on the radio all the time. Diana is on a whole other level from Cher. Shakira comes closer to Diana's talent level, but Diana is in a league all her own. Diana does things with her voice that nobody else on earth can do. Dimash is redefining the male voice. Diana is redefining the female voice. I'm just happy that I'm still alive to witness it.
If you go to her youtube site you will see strong evidence that Diana has been doing many of these types of talent shows from an early age and is probably more experienced with them than most singers at 25 years old or more. Doing it in a place like Russia she has definitely been forged in a crucible of fire but no interested observer can deny the quality of the product produced, and it is still not at its potential highest or finished state. She seems to live for the stage and bright lights, and appears completely at home and at ease there.

Ironically, Diana herself was an orphan who was abused and abandoned by her alcoholic mother. Because of this beginning her speech was very undeveloped and she was given singing lessons to help improve her speech. Her talent was quickly recognized and the rest is history.

Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from classical singing....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is polyphonic voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result.
This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya, the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 5!
This broadcast is "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old.

I would suggest reacting to everything you can find from her. I've been listening to her for over a year now and am still constantly amazed by her voice. She sings in russian, english, french, spanish, and I think arabic. To fully see her voice I would recommend Rechenka, Human, Dernier Danse, Into the Sky, Blizzard, Fastidious Horses, and her new single Happiness. Only Human is in english.

@@TheMuserResolute No, in general i think your comments are correct and these high-stress televised talent shows featuring young singers rarely offer anything of long term value to the prodigies who appear on them. However this Russian show does appear better than most in trying to provide their contestants with on-going education and life support after the show has finished.
But still not perfect. I have read Diana saying that these two long competitions took a lot out of her personal life and schooling (Not to mention the reappearance of Diana's abusive birth mother sponging for money for alcohol and drugs) and she does not intend to enter any more. Also there is a Q&A by her music teacher (now sadly deceased) who said that the schedules of the shows impacted badly on Diana's voice training in a difficult period during her teenage growth.
How you balance this against the definite plusses I don't know. In this case I think that the opportunity to work with and be supported by the very skilled and proffessional creative team that was collected for these shows enabled the young Diana (and the other contestants) to rise to new heights. In Diana's case, gobsmacking world class heights.

I liked your review and hope you do more of Diana. I enjoy hearing her praised. You cannot get a full view of her talent from one song.

I made a playlist of TOP performances by Diana to demonstrate her versatility and included this video. And I also wonder why this video has so few clicks. The first time I heard this I likened Diana's vouce to CHER's, in her huge auto-tuned hit of the 90’s "DO YOU BELIEVE (IN LIFE AFTER LOVE)”. Except Diana is doing all the auto-tuned part, IN HER OWN THROAT 🤯🤯🤯
