📌Welcome to Diana’s world!
Diana has something mysterious, mystical in her voice. She is a dramatic contralto, the rarest contralto-type. If Dimash is the universe, then Diana is the earth, our home... and when you hear her voice, you feel like, she's wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and serving you a cup of hot, dark chocolate.
Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman, who gave her birth, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not want Diana either, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the girl with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Only then did she find love ... from Irina Ponik. She worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana and took her out of the orphanage. Irina had two children of her own. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for her... but she adopted Diana at the age of 5 and became, as I call it, Diana's 'real mother'. Diana has lived in a poor but loving family ever since. Since she was lagging in her speech development and even stuttered, she received singing lessons on the advice of a doctor.
In 2012, the family moved thousands of kilometers away, to Togliatti, because Diana did not let go of the fear, that the woman, who gave her birth, would take her away.
Diana's voice and sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a child and she won over 50 competitions in Togliatti and the surrounding area. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop, and Diana's stage costumes swallowed up the family budget. So, her mother completed a sewing course and has been sewing all the clothes herself since then.
One day Diana was advised to take part in competitions further away, so that the other children also had a chance to win.
Diana convinced with her talent and her voice in numerous national and international competitions, the Chinese competition for young artists and the competition.
On February 17, 2017 at the Russian 'The Voice Kids' Diana sang 'Yodel-Time' th-cam.com/video/vKdvaWsd91Q/w-d-xo.html
To the general surprise, none of the judges turned around but the whole audience gave 'standing ovation'. The next day, a huge scandal broke out on the Internet. People demanded for Diana's participation in the competition.
In 2018 and 2019, a unique international competition 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children, was launched in Moscow, which Diana won. These performances were broadcast nationwide, uploaded to TH-cam and made Diana known worldwide. She now has any Millions of fans all over the world.
In the Kremlin Palace takes place the final of the international singing competition for children 'You are super!'. The winner of the season is determined by a 6-day viewer vote.
Igor Krutoi, mentor and jury member of the competition, gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow. So, she could continue her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskaya (videos on TH-cam).
The break of voice made her voice darker and deeper. She worked hard to get the lost high notes back and expand her vocal range, which currently ranges from E2 (baritone) - E5. She likes to paint and draw, so much that we can be glad that she decided to sing… but have you noticed that she only holds a microphone in her right hand? The left-hand underlines and paint, what she is singing. Diana puts her whole soul into each song. That all makes her performances special and unique.
But she's not just a great singer, she's also a humble young woman, who loves her family and appreciates, what they sacrifice for her. She loves her fans (they are 'Friends' to her) and she is grateful, that they help to improve her home studio. On TH-cam she also regularly answers the many questions of her Friends. Her Russian fans chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title).
In her home studio, she is currently experimenting (Corona time) a lot with different music genres and performing on both large and small stages.
2020 Diana graduated from school and in September she has become a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts. She will study in the specialty "Variety Artist". She also wants to learn to compose and arrange her own songs.
By the way, most lyrics are very important, so that you understand, why Diana sings, how she sings. You can prepare with Google, you will find lyrics, because often there is no translation in or under the video... and of her channel you will find many songs from 10 years ago to today... All wonderful and worth seeing.

Just an example if you're unfamiliar though imo there is no comparison between the two - and you should understand that it's just that those two voices - Shakira & Cher - are only within the vocal range that reminds people of Diana's voice - not that it sounds the same. th-cam.com/video/BERd61bDY7k/w-d-xo.html As you can hear, Cher's vocal range is about the same as Sonny's. But she doesn't sound ANYTHING vocally like Diana. Diana is special.

Rare true contralto, who has a great range. She speaks like a normal 15 year old girl. This was a girl who couldn't even speak by age 4 because she was so badly abused by her mother. Now she is a confident, vibrant young singer, who also yodels, and has a stage presence of a 30 year old. She's a prodigy!

Смотрю много обзоров сделанных тренерами по вокалу, но этот специалист, чуть ли не единственный, смог наглядно продемонстрировать на своём примере механику извлечения очень сложных голосовых звуков. Респект!
She drops her larynx all the way down for that resonance and deep tone. IT also helps that she's a true contralto. And, she does this in shopping malls where there's no echo or reverb on the mics.

Всё зная все тонкости, все можем так же. Завтра же иду на голос, показывать, закрытый, открытый, головной, горловой, грудной, утробный и ещё какие там есть голоса. Так момент, от природы мой голос гнусавый, не то что петь, меня просто слышать противно, ещё и прокуренный. Воздуха в лёгких, только чтобы затянуться, выдохнуть уже не получается. Но секрет то мне известен!

Just a suggestion cuz I love ur channel. She was 14 here so intentional manipulation is out of the question. Second, this is just her natural tone and u cannot actually learn it. Diana is out of this world vocally. Please check her Can't help falling in love and you'll see😀
Sorry, but I cannot understand and agree with your analysis of your voice.
I've been dealing with Diana a bit and even in interviews and conversations her voice sounds so deep and "Kermit" that she can't "produce" it. In addition, she sings live in this show and it was even mentioned that there is no acoustic manipulation on the microphone. When she creates deep throat manipulation, how can she still sing extremely high notes at the same time?!
You may be an expert and don't want to question your evaluation, but I don't get that.
Your voice is unique and doubtful that it has not been manipulated by yourself or electronically. Her voice sounds the same with other songs too. This unique vocal color can also be seen on other songs, watch videos of Diana's version of "Derniere danse".
She uses her voice consciously, but she is not "edited" or manipulated, either by Diana or me through technology.
Nooo it not just about her closing her upper glottis. As you ve shown it wouldnt be enough to create such a beautiful voice she sings with no strain.igor dimashs producer said that she is genius.and another judge said that her vocal cords probably developed in a different way thats why shes so uniq. Copmare her to other singers and youll find that Diana has much more 1.power.2.deepness3.spirituality in her voice . Thas why she is DIANA. Ordinary coaches will have to learn about extraordinary...

Diana talks, and can sing, with a normal female tone. Singing contralto is a choice she makes because it sets her apart from nearly all other female singers. What fascinates me is she's only 14 years old in this video, and she has honed her technique to this level. Amazing...

There is no digital reverb here, none of it is artificial, this is a raw live performance and all natural, there was no artificial sounds added. Everything you hear out of her voice is hers.
She does not sing using artificial means.
She is a true contralto, and as far as her voice goes it’s pretty much normal except it is deeper than most girls her age. Do you have barely scratched the tip of the iceberg she has a wide range, but she is more comfortable in the lower registers. If you want to know just how low she can go listen to her stage performance with live fire on stage, performing the song ( Human) Also You should listen to (River) it translates into Russian to (Rechenka)

Diana’s low voice is official classified as Contralto. Several reaction vocal coaches and opera singers mentioned that as explanation for the low notes. Nothing mentioned about the opening of closing of pipes!
Nothing has to do with her explanation of how to create that sound lol.
The dramatic contralto explains her amazing range and overall tone but the unique sound that she does is absolutely made by her deliberately manipulating her voice using the epiglottal sound or what other coaches have said is 'tongue blocking'. You can hear the difference as she switches from note to note, some using the technique and some without.

Diana had a contralto - you didn't understand that, there was no reverberation in the microphone, we didn’t just see Rechenka’s performance alone, this is Diana’s unique voice, and you are telling us about the reverberation in the microphone. If you don't like Diana, don't react to her. In general, if you are analyzing vocals, then "like-dislike" from the mouth of the teacher is not appropriate here. У Дианы контральто - вы этого не поняли, в микрофоне не было реверберации, уж мы-то не одно это исполнение Реченьки видели, это уникальный голос Дианы, а вы нам про реверберации в микрофоне рассказываете. Fans and especially Russians, believe that her voice a God given
Voice (as well as I), she is a Shaman to them.
She is practically worshipped by her fans and I get it.
They do not want to know how the body parts work because it takes
away from the mystic.
I don't think Diana knows (knew) how She was doing
what she does. You were able to imitate it.
However, Diana adds another element that no one can
can put a finger on, which makes her totally unique, a shaman.
The nervous part of that, She has to live up to that, which I am sure

Just discovered your channel & have seen that you've already discovered 2 of the best singers in the world today in morissette & diana,& of course the king,dimash but I think it only fair that you step in to the world of the other great female vocalist of our times,often referred to as the queen, s.korea's sohyang. A few suggestions are: something you may already know, 'bridge over troubled water' or 'lean on me' or something more traditional, the mesmerising 'arirang alone', all live performances on a show called 'immortal songs 2' or if you'd like something bang up to date then any of her peformances at 'begin again korea' which was put on to help people through the pandemic & I highly recommend her performance(acoustic) of 'i have nothing'. I'm sure you will enjoy analysing her vocals. She prob has the most balanced mix voice,which she can take really high. Her signature note is Bb5,although she can go higher,but her thats just her sweet spot. Her vocals are crystal clear in all registers & she has the ability to emote like no other,even managing to have people in tears when singing in a language they dont understand.she is also responsible for the arrangement of the songs she performs so we get her full musicality in her performances,one vocal coach said she is the master of the dynamic build. Be kind to yourself & check her out

Diana (pronounced Dee Aaa nah) is a contralto, rare among females, and is a Dramatic Contralto, the rarest form of contralto. Edit: I have now watched your full clip. She completely befuddled you. I could see the puzzle in your face. Her talking voice is deep and she is not closing her epiglottis while talking. You never figured out that she is a dramatic contralto. Cher is also a contralto, but not a dramatic contralto. Diana has one of the best, most mesmerizing, tribal, primal voices I have ever heard. I can easily understand, although I disagree, why some might not like the sound of a dramatic contralto. The issue is that your analysis completely failed to grasp what her voice actually is, which negates the epiglottis baloney that misled the uninitiated. Nevertheless will watch some of your other reviews to see what's up. Thanks for your time.
