Diana is a Russian girl, turned 17 a month ago. This track was recorded when she was 15. DEahna - its a very short hard E, think Jana. AnkuDINovah with the emphasis on DIN. Frankly, a western tongue just doesn't get around it right. Anyway, an appalling early life, rescued by a great woman who is now her mother. Given singing lessons early to overcome muteness? There are tracks of Diana singing all over youtube from infancy to the present. Quality of the recording and the venue varies a lot, so if you do more reactions it's wise to get some hints about the best recordings. As Diana matures, it seems she has a very rare contralto voice. First year, in order: Derniere danse, Man's World, Rechenka and Tomorrow is a lie (a little played gem of a performance), the second season Wicked Game, Blizzard (Вьюга) - which is my favourite of all the songs from the talent show - and Human. I don't think she has been tested - she may well be a true contralto (many reactors, vocal coaches say so but, equally others say she may not be - mezzo-soprano etc) I am not qualified to say. I read as much on her in Russian as I can and the Russian sites, Diana's own blog, VK and FB pages do not say, and never have done. You may be right but I have not seen proof. Mo matter what - she is the best thing to have happened in singing in my lifetime and that is a long time!
There is no voice like Diana's. Not Cher, not Shakira. Diana is unique. There is no performer like Diana. She is an all-around performer and entertainer, and she is a natural from a very early age. She has an incredible vocal range and impeccable voice control, all back by 100% confidence. You have experienced the tip of a wonderful iceberg!! Great reaction! Life and times of Diana - there are comments here on her life and I shall fill out from what I have got from my Russian sources (including the interviews that contestants give on this show Ты Супер). She was born in the Far East of Russia (Arsenyev) and was, indeed, very badly treated by her mother and was left in a freezing street when she was three and had some broken bones. She was taken to a DetDom - and orphanage in our parlance where, she so took the eye of a masseuse (professional) that this lady decide to adopt Diana. Diana was so scared that her birth mother would come and find her that they moved far away to Togliatti but (as she admitted for the show when she sang Derniere Danse that (at age 14)) she was still scared that her birth mother would find her. AnywY when Irina (adoptive mother) took Diana home the first thing Diana called her was "Mama" and has been that way ever since. Diana couldn't or wouldn't talk (can you blame her after such trauma?) that Irina took her to singing lessons to allow her to express herself - and so we can all thank and bless Diana's mum (because that is what Diana herself calls her) Irina for nurturing this wonderful and unique talen - a beautiful, modest young lady whose voice is truly a gift to this problematic world which we inhabit.

Diana is a kind of vocal talent that some have a little trouble with but I simply invite vocalist that her for future reactions. I'm not super familiar with Annie Lennox (besides the typical stuff you'd hear commercially) but I have enjoyed the limited exposure to her. The originals from Chris back in 89 ( which I fell in love with back then) Then there's Diana Ankudinova I love how she took & made a big production without letting it overwhelm her & she turned into a great Pop song in a modern way with a little Russian folk song style to it. Yes she is Russian she is 15 years old in this video she just had her seventeenth birthday this year so as far as I know on TH-cam she's been out for over 2 years the first four years of her life we're horrible until she got the adopted mom she has now she had a hard time speaking when she was young so they sent her to a vocal coach which I believe was actually a friend of the family but I don't know and that is how she got into singing.

Amazing talent The Warning - @kOiU they started their band in 2014 when they were 14,12, 9 year old and went viral with a cover of Enter Sandman, now with 21+ million views. No she was 15 years old in this video which is from the Grand Prix the second year in which she won. The previous year's competition when Diana performed Derniere Danse and Rechenka. she was indeed 14 years old.👍

But this turned out to be a BLATANT LIE and one of the worse scandals in Russian talent contest history. Because the following day it was revealed that the contest was “ fixed” the winner was “bought” before the show started. A total travesty of justice.
And the following days over 80 million who watched the contest when posted on TH-cam spit on the judges.
But she got her revenge the following year and year thereafter by winning not only the Russian contests in two consecutive years but 60 more awards and contests.

Diana is a Russian girl, turned 17 a month ago. This track was recorded when she was 15. DEahna - its a very short hard E, think Jana. AnkuDINovah with the emphasis on DIN. Frankly, a western tongue just doesn't get around it right. Anyway, an appalling early life, rescued by a great woman who is now her mother. Given singing lessons early to overcome muteness? There are tracks of Diana singing all over youtube from infancy to the present. Quality of the recording and the venue varies a lot, so if you do more reactions it's wise to get some hints about the best recordings.
As Diana matures, it seems she has a very rare contralto voice. That's special enough. But her ability to inhabit a song, to perform it with command and authenticity is the real kicker. Try listening to her 13yo - 15yo period first, I'll post some links below. After that go to her work as a 16yo where she just keeps upping the ante.

Everyone compares her to Cher but, honestly, she kicks Cher's ass. That's a true contralto at 15 years old! The slides, the glides, the falsetto, the vibrato, the yodels. She is friggin' amazing!

I don't think she has been tested - she may well be a true contralto (many reactors, vocal coaches say so but, equally others say she may not be - mezzo-soprano etc) I am not qualified to say. I read as much on her in Russian as I can and the Russian sites, Diana's own blog, VK and FB pages do not say, and never have done. You may be right but I have not seen proof. Mo matter what - she is the best thing to have happened in singing in my lifetime and that is a long time!

There is no voice like Diana's. Not Cher, not Shakira. Diana is unique. There is no performer like Diana. She is an all-around performer and entertainer, and she is a natural from a very early age. Life and times of Diana - there are comments here on her life and I shall fill out from what I have got from my Russian sources (including the interviews that contestants give on this show Ты Супер). She was born in the Far East of Russia (Arsenyev) and was, indeed, very badly treated by her mother and was left in a freezing street when she was three and had some broken bones. She was taken to a DetDom - and orphanage in our parlance where, she so took the eye of a masseuse (professional) that this lady decide to adopt Diana. Diana was so scared that her birth mother would come and find her that they moved far away to Togliatti but (as she admitted for the show when she sang Derniere Danse that (at age 14)) she was still scared that her birth mother would find her. AnywY when Irina (adoptive mother) took Diana home the first thing Diana called her was "Mama" and has been that way ever since. Diana couldn't or wouldn't talk (can you blame her after such trauma?) that Irina took her to singing lessons to allow her to express herself - and so we can all thank and bless Diana's mum (because that is what Diana herself calls her) Irina for nurturing this wonderful and unique talen - a beautiful, modest young lady whose voice is truly a gift to this problematic world which we inhabit.

'Blizzard' is about a girl who asks for the snow to cover (bury) her and her house because the one she loves has left her. Also both beautiful and sad.

Diana is a kind of vocal talent that some have a little trouble with but I simply invite vocalist that her for future reactions. I'm not super familiar with Annie Lennox (besides the typical stuff you'd hear commercially) but I have enjoyed the limited exposure to her. She is another very interesting story that you will discover. Wait until you hear "Human" or "Rechenka" Even though it is in Russian you still feel the emotion behind it. I've heard her sing in Russian, English, French and Spanish so far. No matter what language it is beautiful. Her Russian fans are the BEST! She was 15 at the time of this video. The show "You Are Super" is a talent show for orphans and abused children. She was both. She currently lives in Moscow. I am 64 yo from St. Louis, Missouri U.S.A. The originals from Chris back in 89 ( which I fell in love with back then) Then there's Diana Ankudinova I love how she took & made a big production without letting it overwhelm her & she turned into a great Pop song in a modern way with a little Russian folk song style to it. Yes she is Russian she is 15 years old in this video she just had her seventeenth birthday this year so as far as I know on TH-cam she's been out for over 2 years the first four years of her life we're horrible until she got the adopted mom she has now she had a hard time speaking when she was young so they sent her to a vocal coach which I believe was actually a friend of the family but I don't know and that is how she got into singing.

Amazing talent The Warning - @kOiU they started their band in 2014 when they were 14,12, 9 year old and went viral with a cover of Enter Sandman, now with 21+ million views. Today they have put out 1 EP 2 Albums with a 3rd one coming hopefully at the end of the Year all original Music!! They have opened for Def Lepard and the Killers during their Mexico tour. During the Mother of all Rock Festival in Mexico City they shared the stage with Aerosmith, Def Lepard, Alice Cooper, Vince Neal, Tesla, only Mexican Rock Band invited.
