When you're talking about Lasha's personality, it reminds me of something people used to say about Brian Shaw: there's no need for posturing when you're so clearly the best
It's an amazing quality, a whole new level of confidence, almost as though you don't consider anyone's view on you because you are too far ahead to worry.
Lasha is my favorite lifter, not just because he is clearly the best, but because of his cool clam and collected demeanor. Going in and not worrying about what ever else is going on. Not gloating. Love this so much!
Whenever I watch him lift I'm always so blown away at how graceful he is. A lot of SHW look so encumbered and he manages to look comfortable and effortless
What I admire the most about Lasha is his humble demeanor, not many times will you see someone who's so obviously way better than everyone else yet they still stay humble and down to Earth. He lets his actions do the talking
I remember reading an old archived article about Taranenko and how he was aware of the significance of the 600 lbs clean and jerk benchmark and how he hoped to hit it during his career. Obviously that never happened, and since then the only ones that really had a serious chance at it, before Lasha came along, were Rezazadeh and Lovchev. After seeing that 267 on Instagram, I think Lasha has the best chance at it, as well as the 500 kg total. If he was really determined to hit truly all-time legendary status, he would go for the 600 clean, 500 snatch, and 500 total.
More like 60kg is like a broomstick for him.. when you see how he snatches the 100kg.. didn't even need any technic or going into squat.. just straight up from the ground to overhead..
I remember reading a interview years ago with Vasily Alekseyev and he said he saw no point in squatting any heavier than his clean and jerk ,you are correct about his pulls, even several of his openers over the years the pulls are so high they look power!
