+Baron Sand I couldn´t agree more! I remember a (German) interview with the super heavy weight lifter Manfred Nerlinger (Germany), who competed against the likes of Taranenko and whose pb in the clean and jerk was 260 kg. In this interview this giant of a man mentioned that he could easily do the splits (at a bodyweight of about 160 kg). Amazing!
Im just transitioning from powerlifting/bodybuilding and love it already. Its like a dance with weight. Hopefully my strength transfers well(i never trained proper for numbers but could do things like 7 plates deadlift and what not) lol. These chubbys are strong as fucken hell though so much respect for timing, flexibility and strength of these guys.
Lmao what? I'm 6"1 and collar to collar isn't too wide for me. The inner part of the bar is only 131 centimeters wide which is 4"4 approximately. For Lasha its super narrow, just look how high the barbell in snatch overhead position for him. It should be only inch or so above head for maximal efficiency. In his case its almost 2 feet higher. He basically does clean grip snatches, almost.
I always found it funny that the other sport is called Powerlifting, while this is called Olympic Weightlifting. Anyone who has ever tried these lifts with anything but extremely light weights realizes how much actual power is required in all these movements. You can have the strength, but if you don't have the technique and acceleration you will not complete the lift.
“Squat snatch” and “power snatch” are not in this guys vocabulary.. his snatches are just naturally POWER SNATCHES. We rarely see him actually need to bottom out. He is explosive as fk
Iamharvey781 technique. Without technique he cant . Also a better technique will help to lift more kg. I'm doing bench press and preparing for IPF, I am trying to enhance my technique to lift more
There is a small fortune in Olympic jewelry at 4:42, with Kakhiashvilli, Asanidze, Turmanidze and Talakhadze in the picture ! ( am I missing anyone else)
Multi angle slow mo snatch and clean & jerk of one of the all-time best weightlifters (best super heavyweight) on the planet! Hell yeah!. Watch and learn. Thanx...
I think you really have to do this sport to realise how completely insane it is to see 120kg thrown around as a warm up, like it's an empty bar. To me that's even more ridiculous that the big lifts!
I’m a novice lifter and this is absolutely insane to me. 120 kg is significantly heavier than my max CLEAN and he’s throwing it over his head like it’s nothing
What a monster, a beast amongst mere mortals to lift such weight above your head you need abnormal strength I can snatch 65kg and clean and jerk 100kg my best records, best deadlift 180kg so seeing this blows my mind...
1:56 He's so massive a slap to his thigh sounds like 100 kg being dropped 😂
lol that's perfectly timed
6 subs with 0 vids????? Lol
😂😂😂😂😂
lol the editing must be on purpose ahahahah
😂😂😂😂😂 i cant
In Lasha terms, 100kg is approximately equal to 0 kg
Hhhhhhhhhhh yes yes
He uses the empty bar as I use the pvc
Brother lasha literally Weighs 180kg😂
He got 200 kg above his head
faster than I get out of bed
An OK Man 😂 okay, that was a good one.
He got 220kg...
I love weightlifting! 😍
The speed and flexibility of these giants is so incredible.
Absolutely me
Greatest sport in the world, it has no equal!

It’s funny how he is just playing around with my snatch PR weight like it was a toy
1:56 thats the sound of him hitting his leg only. Hahaha
This is literally the heaviest training session in the World
No, this is (for world championships training halls): th-cam.com/video/QUV315SN7eg/w-d-xo.html
Laughs in Brian Shaw
@@samdajellybeenie14 Brian Shaw will never snatch 225kg......

Dude I'm 6'2 with a wingspan of 6'5 and I can barely get collar to collar on the bar for the snatch, this mad lad is an actual giant.

I think they use 7ft bars. Lasha is 6'6 also.
I just love how no matter the weight he just completely throws it around like its light.
Ohhhhhh man LASHA. Ur really fantastic in your practice, really happy to see a man like you, pushing the weight above head with ease..🔥
He's very young but already a living legend.
He is now my favourite athlete, he is a monster, but also it seems he is a great guy, an awsome champion, i want to see him winning en Tokio 2020
He literally grabs the bar collar to collar and it still doesnt look like his grip is wide enough. This man is a behemoth.
WHAT A BEAST!!! big fan from 🇲🇽
Superman from Georgia !!!!!
He is not a man he is a super man....😎😎
Great video. Incredible how hard he trains. No wonder he is able to lift what he does in competition.
The ridiculous thing is it didn't even look like those freakish weights were that hard for him. He's simply an outlier.
Where athletic technique meats rawest strength.
Didn't matter the weight, his form never changed. Professional
So effortless....good job, true superman
Extremely hardworking MAN!!!!!
Squatting 230 like it's nothing. What a beast of a man
Thanks for Warming up to our PR's Lasha

yeah Chad Wesley Smith and Max Aita did a video on this and explained why the 2 sports are mis-named.
Or the flexibility.
100 %
Olympic weight lifting should be called powerlifting
Powerlifting should be called weightlifting
The barbell makes 15cm in the air alone before Lasha respawn under with streight arms and presse it with his legs XD
Long live to the KING!!!
Lasha is not from this world....amazing power and strength....omg
all the best brother...😊😊
1:35 look at how smooth that bar movement is, as if ut goes through his head
Awesome!
My favorite male weightlifter.and I'll hope too see you very soon established the new clean and jeark record
he squats 270 like its 50
its normal
255
Before him at the Olympic Games the snatch range was between 200kg - 210kg. He came and did a world record of 222kg. Nobody comes even close.
Your videos are great man!
Love u lasha
this guy is so amazing!!!!
I predict he'll break his own record soon.

4:43 the best weightlifter ever. Kahi kahiasvili !
Although I can deadlift 200kg for reps but I just don’t understand how can someone swing that shit above his head 😑
Well it's not swinging is it? It's a calculated technical movement.
it's still 200 freaking kg

This is how a true champion trains. Reps over reps, until muscles burn.
At the beginning he’s literally just playing with the bar like it weighs nothing 😂
G.O.A.T
turmanidze is looking huge!
Lasha= GOAT
