Bit of helpful info: the random splashdown in the final phase isn’t random it happens when he gets down to a certain health amount
For me it happens when I stay to much time without touching her/him
@@user-sd2nm2sj6d That happens too. They reset their Splashdown spam after a certain amount of time. When you get them to low health, they activate a “panic” Splashdown which happens no matter what.

i just wanna say, agent 3 is a cheater, she can roll without dualies.
Im convinced that it's just a skin to hide the fact that she's holding a cds; mid ranged, no-lag dodge rolls, and damage-wise too
She just knows how to roll. Still not fair though.

The tip about mentality is the biggest deal of all the tips tbh
It took me 10 hours to beat this originally, here are a couple more tips that were missed:
Phase 1: Count the inkjet shots. Once IA3 has fired 6, throw the bomb. That will guarantee you get the timing right for a direct bomb hit. This works wonders in online as well, as long as the opponent isn't using any special power.
Phase 3: When IA3 splashdowns to enter the arena, they will always try to clean up any bubbles left from the previous phase, so stay way the heck away from all bubbles at the start. If you're okay with throwing away a couple attempts, you may actually want to take the fight as early as possible (as soon as you have a little bit of damage on him). When you're up close and attacking him, IA3 will always shoot and run away, wasting his KFC. The autobombs from the KFC can easily combo you if you let IA3 throw too many.
Phase 5: If IA3 panic splashdowns, that means he's close to death. Go for the splashdown cancel! If you get a good couple shots in before he hits the ground, then you win! If not, keep shooting. You'll take an armor break, but chances are that you can land the kill on him before he can land the kill on you since Splashdown has a small delay before IA3 can start shooting again.
Besides that, great video! You covered the best tips on phases 2 and 4, and it's sometimes better to play less aggressively than I did on phases 3 and 5.

It's taken me three weeks, and at this point tips don't help, but thank you. They still might help. I just think it's because of my sucky skill level...
what the f were the devs thinking when making this level. Did they think we're all on meth or do they just get a kick out of screwing their players...
Stop calling the autobombs “KFC”.
Pro tip:
the AI dodge basically works like “if he hits you, dodge” so if you dodge his attacks and keep on hitting him, he’ll just keep dodging, and with the lag for attacking after you dodge, he’s pretty easy to take out.
Sure you might die a bunch timing it just right, but after you succeed in that, it’s a peace of cale

I see hundreds of people saying they won almost immediately after watching this. But I did everything in the video, I can’t pass 3, I barely pass 2. Stage 2 was somehow harder to pass after watching this. I tried every trick, even the tip to just “take a break and come back to it” I’ve taken several, and they make me worse each time. I just don’t know what to do.
@@maciwithdahat i beat 2 by getting close to ia3 while they're using the bubbler as they cant use their weapon during that stage making them more vulnerable

The last bit of advice is VERY important. I thought this battle was going to be easy and it ended up being way more difficult than I thought. I was unable to defeat Inner Agent 3 multiple times and I started to get frustrated. I had been playing for a while up to that moment and I felt terrible so I finally decided to take a break.
The break was very needed lol

Hi. Good guide for beating Inner Agent 3. This is the only one I have seen that mentions that the fight starts the moment you move. Althought it seems like it is trivial, it is very important for the people who has to have many tries and gets fustrated quickly, so they can rest their hand for a little bit. When I beat this boss for the first time, I had like aprox 150 tries (I didn´t count it but I aproximate based on 6 total hours divided in many days); I noticed that specific detail like after the 110th; with very tired hands. It was something I wish I knew earlier. Because of this and other details I learned fighting this boss, it inspired me to make my own tutorial an upload it to youtube. I thought it would be one of the last tutorial for fighting that boss but days later I saw yours. I´m glad there are people still interested on this game and there are also people willing to help others.
One thing I feel about this guide is that it gives better tips for extra damage to the boss; which is good and I have not seen it in many other tutorials. Althought I think this guide will serve better mostly for the people who have from average to good aim and mainly with motions controls (althought there are very good players that somehow manage to be good with sticks controls). Still it is a good guide nonetheless.
I will, in a very shameful way, promote my own video on this response. I made this guide as a "complementary guide" for other guides and just put other tips that are not that common and others I felt helped me beating this boss for the first time. I modified the description of my video and I put the link of your guide on my description. Swimming in the box pattern at the start helped a lot!! I always thought to take the fight at the start then hide when he’s using the inkjet, then attack his recall point. This video is super helpful! Thank you Chara!!!!!!!!

I haven’t completed this fight yet, but I honestly feel like your strats combined with what I’ve seen in another video will be a huge help. I totally agree that phase 3 is the hardest, 1 can occasionally snipe you with the ink jet, but given its the first phase, being killed by it isn’t too bad, phase 2 is only threatening if you let it be, agent 3 leaves themselves wide open during that special, and even if you can’t quite kill them before they finish using it, the bubbles are usually easy enough to stay away from long enough to finish the phase. Phase 3 is only really hard because trying to dodge that many auto bombs in such a small space is very hard to do. I feel like the arena size really is what makes this phase so difficult, but it seems like playing it defensively during this phase and shooting whenever there is a safe opening seems to be the way to go. Phase 4 seems like a joke, more so then even phase 2, the tenta missile simply is not threatening at all, and even if you take a few tries to clock enough damage, I find it hard to believe that you would die on it unless you just lost focus and got stuck in one place for too long. Phase 5 seems more intimidating then actually hard, since failing to dodge the splashdown could allow agent 3 to finish you off, but it really seems like it would really depend on when he broke your armor and where, if you are close to one of the covers, it seems like you would have enough time to have your armor come back if he got you on his initial splash down to start the phase. Bout the only way I could see losing during phase 5 is if you were too far away from a cover block when he began the phase, or if he breaks your armor a bit later on in the 3 splash chain. Both cases he might be able to catch up to you during your slow escape and finish your off, either during the splashdown itself or when he starts firing.

While I’ve really, really struggled with this and haven’t beaten it as of writing.. I do REALLY appreciate your tips.
You’ve gotten me more consistently through stage one and two, but my issue has been 3 and 5.
4 is really to me the easiest stage.
The issue I’ve had with 3 is that I don’t have enough time to really shoot the agent before they go to use their special and they can still fire in the middle of it so it’s been a giant pain.
As for 5, I’ve struggled after they finish their splashdowns as well as on the damage splashdown they do at the end..
I’m losing hope but I think I’m definitely getting closer. I’ve easily been at this for probably 10 hours off and on the past week so I’ll update if I’ve beaten it or given up.
Additional Tips are appreciated because I’m struggling here 😅

dualies are actually held with the left hand after rolling; this lets you left peek with them instead and its better for dualie mains to focus vision on the left reticle for higher accuracy
yea some weapons cant right peek but figure id keep it simple

In fact, despite choosing the girl option for Agent 3, I personally refer to Agent 3 by they/them because those are the pronouns the game uses. In conclusion, please be respectful of how other people refer to Agent 3. By the way, I am not mad at you whatsoever, I just felt the need to tell you. Sorry for typing a paragraph. @acid-ink , I don't remember the game using they/them pronouns. Heck, I'm not sure Nintendo caters to the "lgbt" nonsense that The West seems to be into. I don't even remember picking Agent 3's gender either. But yes, either way, I am enjoying the Splatoon series. What I do remember from the Octo Expansion, is that when I made my avatar a boy, it seems that the "mannerisms" were still feminine, making him seem gay, and feeling disgusted by it, so I immediately changed the avatar back to a girl. After completing the DLC, I thought that octoboy gayness was only for the DLC, but nope, that extended to everywhere, so I kept it as a squidboy instead. I remember being very disappointed by how they made the octoboy. Heck, even now, for Splatoon 3, the avatar seems feminine in general, so I kept the avatar feminine. Nintendo seems to have taken away the masculinity of the avatar. I don't know why.
if ur stuck on the auto bomb wave, what i usually do is just walk and keep shooting her from the edge of my range an if the auto bombs stack up too much, i just go near them to make them explode and do that untill u get her

Lowkey I literally beat this yesterday in three attempts. For some reason I never played against inner agent 3. But I feel like fighting the boss fight again so I use this video.
Decided to finally beat Inner Agent 3 4 days before Splatoon 3. Just did it with your tips, hope splatoon 3 delivers with something similar!

Took me an hour to beat this pecker. Dude, after 2 years, I am still pissed about all that hard work only to get 1 small hairclip in the shape of a toothpick; I totally thought we'd get Agent 3's cape or something smh
A cape wouldve been way cooler, I hope we get some in Splat 3 since we see the new charactor have one, maybe it can even give rolls in singleplayer.

Tip 1. *S P A W N C A M P*
It's self-explanatory, you can't be toxic to a bot.
Know which octo spawns at one time spawn camp with bombs and use roller
The main thing you have to do is remember where they spawn from and which weapons spawns where. From there, you just spawn camp them.
I like to use the Heavy Splatling because you can store your charge and kill multiple enemies with one full charge, but in the end it is up to personal preference.
As for which enemies to go for first, I like to splat the Dualies, Brella, and Slosher first in their respective groups. After you get them, you can just go after the other ones relatively easily.
The Octoshot at the start is pretty easy, and the pair after it can be easily taken out together. I forget which main weapon it is, but the Stingray can be largely ignored while fighting other Octolings in its group.
I also recommened grabbing the Splashdown in the beginning along the way.

I've been using agent 3 as a training partner, don't know if thats a good idea but I do think I am getting better at dodging, shooting and ink management

i know the tenta-missile stage is generally referred to as the easiest; but what if the bombs i chuck never seem to be enough, even if they land close?(i haven't been able to get past this stage, even after chucking several bombs, and i'm eventually taken out)
Edit: i chucked one up there, and saw damage after; but after trying to dodge for a bit, it eventually disappeared(i guess she regenerates?). After seeing this, i started playing more aggressively, chucking them in quicker succession, and eventually finished the stage...only to get splatted in the next(at least now i know what was wrong though)
Is this a hot take I think Inner Agent 3 might be my most hated boss ever and I'm usually pretty calm about bosses that are hated or stupidly hard but this is the only boss that I can think of that I actually hate and while yes I haven't completed Splatoon 1's story mode I honestly think I would enjoy them more then this 1 fight but that might just be a me thing

Best tip: listen to the squid sisters and also you can splash down cancel agent 3 on there final phase after the first 3 or 4 they does. which is something I do personally myself

Nope. And if you can I still don't recommend it. (Assuming you are referring to the last phase) You may end up replaying the whole fight.
If the boss is damage enough, you can cancel the splashdown. Note: you can’t cancel a splashdown if the boss is jumping towards you
Yes actually on the last phase you can, but they need to be really low on health, so its risky.

Ever since the agent 3 boss came out the super fans kept power scaling agent 3 like it some sort of God but seriously how can she have multiple back-to-back specials at the same time, is she like a part of a clan like fry and shiver
