I had a couple runs before I watched this that took a minute to get the last phase, but then I would die. It's so frustrating :p

Suejean Liao!! Oof, that sucks... one thing that may help is reading the pinned comment. Also, a lot of the fight is luck. But a pointer i can give is strafing while shooting. Make sure you're always on the move. You've got this! Good luck! :)

They honestly really need to nerf him. I only really take on Agent 3 when i feel like it. This boss fight is litteraly the hardest fight i ever fought. The fight just feels unfair and unbalanced.
Heres a comparison.
Agent 8 (You)
Has limited Ink.
You use one bomb and your basically out of Ink.
Armor refills are too slow.
Get slower speed when armor is broken.
Agent 3
Has Unlimited Ink and Specials.
Has 3 times normal health.
Infinite Dodge rolls.
Is faster than normal players.
Has unlimited use of auto bombs.
This fight will probably be manageable if Nintendo at least gets rid of the constant auto bombs or change the Phase 3 Special.

Also is it just me? Or does Agent 3's Auto Bombs has better range than normal one?
Admin Prone I wouldn't say a nerf is needed only because the fight is supposed to be difficulty. I do agree on everything else said tho. The fight is unfair for the wrong reasons. It should be based on skill, but i feel it's based on luck. It at least feels great when you finally beat him.

Admin Prone you are correct in saying their autobombs blasts are bigger. I've compared their autobombs explosion to a default one in Turf war. And theirs is bigger. Not by much but it's enough that if you are low health no matter how far it is from you. Unless you are on the opposite side of the stage from it. You'll lose. This toon purposely dieing to them atleast 43 times to single out just the autobomb burst, then going Into a private match with friends to test out the size of the autobombs there and yes. Inner Agent 3 does have a bigger blast radius. They don't play by the rules of the game one bit. And it needs to be times down. Should they still be hard, hell yes. But his AI is turned into extreme while it could be resting at a solid 8 and still be fun.
It’s supposed to represent how easy it was to kill those Octolings in the first Splatoon IMO

It’s RNG. He got lucky with the RNG. That’s why it looks so easy. Sometimes Agent 3 will completely destroy you and other times he’ll just stand there and take it.

Just keep moving. Agent 3 can’t hit you if you’re walking. However, if you don’t have armor, you’re too slow

Fun facts: agent 3 can swim through your ink without penalty. Their auto bombs range is actually different to the amount of ink splatted around them so even if you don’t get touched at all by them you will still be splatted. The power of Agent 3’s hero shot changes at random. Agent 3 can roll dodge without duelies BONUS FACT: if you choose the top option for all of agent 3’s customisations and choose girl you will get the canon version of agent 3

Literally were so similar. I CANNOT aim. The octo shot is shit and the little crap bomb will just fly off the UFO half the time I throw it. I totally wish that Nintendo would give us like something to work with, like an armor pack. Cause I guarantee that fighting A3 is like fighting a CPU Hacker. Jesus Christ this battle would be 100% easier if we had one or two armor packs. ;-;

Mine is the bomb gets on the platform then explodes BEHIND HIM......
I would say that there are better ways to beating him, for example in phase 1 rush to the circe piece of cover and hide behind so you don’t get damaged by splashdown and just rush hardcore. Second is easy like the way you did it. Third is same as you. And fourth is same as well. But 5th use the rectangular piece of cover and move to the other side constantly until he stops and just go all out.

Right on the edge of the blast radius, finally got to a phase you haven’t before, then, you hear it.
RUN.
This should be named, "How to beat a hacker".
WOOMY!!! I DID IT! Here’s what I did
Stage 1: CHARGE! Try to kill IA3 before he/she uses the inkjet
Stage 2: CHARGE! Attack as soon as IA3 finishes using the bubbler (also pop the bubbles afterwards)
Stage 3: RUN! Run away from the autobombs and hope you kill IA3
Stage 4: It’s easy, use this time to refill your ink tank, get armour back, etc
Stage 5: CHARGE! Just attack IA3 as soon as he/she uses the third splashdown
The only reason I won was because IA3 didn’t use the splashdown when he/she was about to die.
THANK GOD THAT’S OVER.
Just goes to show you that you do improve from splatoon 1 to splatoon 2
(It’s also a way to give hackers a taste of their own medicine)

Edit: it also depends on your mood. If you’re not calm or really mad, don’t. The chances of winning with a negative mood will affect it. Sooooo, just battle agent 3 when you’re calm AND feeling to battle.

I just beat inner agent 3 and it was a summary of many factors but one of them was a really calm and relaxed mood. I had played some multiplayer matches that day and I was winning many without even making effort and even without wanting to win. So I tought that if it was my lucky day I can try to beat inner agent 3.
So I tried like for 40 minutes, with youtube playing some random videos in the background and without stress because I was making progress. When I arrived to the last fase I paused the game and took just a couple of minutes just to calm my nervousness. And then at last it happened, I beat it after countless hours invested in it (I don´t know but something between 20 hours in total distributed in many days just trying to beat it). Long time since I had that feeling of acomplishment.
I had so many troubles because I play 100% of the time in handheld mode, without giro controls and having bad aiming.
But anyway, I can assure you that at least for one person (me) being calm was a factor for beating inner agent 3.
The way you feel dosent physically Affect your gameplay it just stays the same no matter how you feel Angry sad or calm. Even if your calm your gonna get mad either way there's no point in being calm at this point. (Fun fact it's also Rng Because you could be one shot away and the game could glitch And you die)
I LOVE this fight! With the way agent 3 practically outdoes you in every way, it feels like you really are a little octoling who is being cut through like butter. In other words.... it’s like getting a taste of your own medicine!

If you have color lock on it stays pink I think.

It’s more like how to make the battle look simple while flexing on people with ur win.

Phase 1: An Inkjet that has precise aim
Phase 2: Bubbles that automatically pop
Phase 3: A trillion auto bombs that have a blast radius bigger than the earth
Phase 4: A constantly moving UFO
Phase 5: A bunch of splashdowns that go on forever
Phase four is incredibly easy, but makes the rest of octo expansion look like a joke difficulty wise
A tip from me:
When your armor breaks make sure to jump and splat at the same time because that’s the easiest way to dodge autobombs and other stuff

I probably made ~100 attempts on it while making decent progress. I would get to the 5th phase every 5th-10th attempt, but never get close to defeating them. After your video, I completed the challenge within 25 attempts. Keep your cool and deal as much damage as possible, very simple but very useful. Thanks for the tips, and for everyone reading this you got this, I believe in you.

Korrupted Kris Yea... is by far the hardest part. You can use the box like things on the stage to avoid damage from the slashdowns. But you gotta be really aggressive. Give it your all, don't try to run. You've got this. Good luck! :)
