Great video! Thank you Dr. Liu! I would welcome a video to help anyone with extremely sensitive/reactive/rosacea skin if possible. Some topics to cover might include how to wash your face and how often, specific instructions on how to patch test a new product, and how to address a skin/rosacea flare. I have tried many of the usually recommended products for sensitive skin and so far cannot tolerate any of them. For example, right now the only sunscreen I can use has four ingredients. The brand is Badger. The only skin care products I can tolerate are Tata Harper Superkind for sensitive/reactive skin, which are very expensive. Any product recommendations in terms of skin care and/or makeup for reactive skin would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much...the struggle is real. Be well!

I've been oily skinned from puberty until now (I'm 29) but im also experiencing dry patches because of my tretinoin. I think one of the most annoying things is trying to find a balance of being able to moisturize the skin/protecting the skin barrier without looking and feeling super heavy and greasy. I've had to experiment because I would usually gravitate towards the more lightweight gel textures, but they're not moisturizing enough for the dry patches. And then the thicker ones are more moisturizing, but then I end up greasy. I found a routine that works, but it can be frustrating being caught in the middle like that

Never had any trouble to determine my skin type which has not changed in 34 years (57 now). Very oily, acne prone, sensitive, dehydrated. I use gel cleansers, creamy exfoliants, a light cream based on jojoba oil and calming plant extracts, chemical moisturizing sunscreen. Alcohol or mineral oil based products are a big No No. Can't have anything scented. I love K-beauty, is is a true game changer. But all this categorisation I find confusing. It is always this or that skin type. But I have three types, not just one!!! So often products won't work for me, it is my normal! It is very rare that I find anything can use and which will not worsen my skin.

I think my skin is slightly dry and slightly sensitive, but medium to heavy moisturizers (occlusive or not) inevitably make my skin bumpy-not a rash, not due to allergens, not reddened or anything-and it goes away in a day or two without any moisturizers. I can’t figure out what could be causing it!

Man I’m really dealing with mature combo/dry skin which is driving me crazy and as a person of color it’s hard trying to find the right moisturizer that won’t leave me looking greasy or extra shiny.

Is it possible to have oily
/ combo skin on face but super dry and cracking skin on the body?
I used to think that I have combo skin since my T zone gets oily especially overnight, but my face is super tight and taunt and shines like a mirror right after washing it, so now I’m thinking maybe I have dry skin after all 🤔 I use fresh soy cleanser, which is very gentle! And my body is super dry and cracky… and prone to having eczema 😅
