I’ve noticed companies do not make many products for dehydrated skin. It’s really rare for products to make products for that skin condition. I’ve seen more products for dry skin, then dehydrated.

Korean and Japanese brands are famous for hydrating products, you won't come across a Korean skincare routine without the person mentioning hydration. Any kind of moisturizing toner should help. Spraying/misting a thermal spring water product like Avène or LRP and then following it with one of those toners/essences should help. Check out Bioderma's Hydrabio Line, LRP's Toleriane line.

the opposite is true. Dry skin products are so hard to find particularly affordable one. The market is saturated with gel creams and they suggest to dry skin.

Thank you very much for the educational content! After adjusting my skincare routine by adding some hydrating skincare, my so-called fine lines have softened a lot, I really think my skin is just dehydrated instead of becoming dry skin type as I am getting older. I am definitely going to check out some of the recommendations that you mentioned for dehydrated skin. The ingredients of each skincare you mentioned also very helpful for me to learn what should I consider when picking my skincare products in general, thanks again ♥️!

I so appreciate this video just simply based on the fact when I go to look for a moisturizer for dry skin on the internet they are wasting my time with gel creams. They always suggest the hydroboost for extra dry skin and I think its laughable. I've tried the skinfix and it was good but went on to something else but I'm really looking for something more affordable so thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! I've been struggling with rosacea since I was little and have extremely dry skin, especially in the winter. I just put on an occlusive for the first time today because of the dryness. It is the skin ceuticals- hydra balm. I am afraid I will wake up with breakouts but I don't have too many options now

I hope a lot skin care content creator talk more about dehydrated skin, dry-dehydrated and oily dehydrated. There's not much information about dehydrated skin and product recommendations for people who suffer from dehydration. Usually skincare gurus, or influencers said to use hyaluronic acid because it is a hydrator. But what if the place where i live and work, the transportation that i use to travel between work and home use air conditioner? Hyaluronic acid wasn't a good option for me. My skin get more tight underneath but severly oily on top with some irritation on my cheeks and chin when i use hyaluronic acid. But i can hardly find any products without hyaluronic acid in the market. Please share more information and recommendations for people who has dehydration

    • @ownsbytessa

@@eugene9327 i did found some toners that is very lightweight and didn’t aggravate my dehydration. If you want something that is very lightweight, very watery you can go with soonjung toner. It is a HA free toner. If you want something more like essence toner type of consistency but also lightweight and absorb beautifully, go with Make Prem Safe me Relief Essence Toner. It had Sodium Hyaluronate in it but i find that didn’t make my feels tight. I used up 3 bottles of it. I’m now using Simple Soothing Toner. It doesn’t feel as hydrating as the other 2 but it is the most accessible soothing toner that i can find. I might switch back to make prem once i finish my simple toner.

Beta glucan might be a good option to replace Hyaluronic acid.. I have same skin like u HA toner makes my skin tight and it feel a like it sitting on top of skin and not getting absorbed.. After a while, my skin becomes dry.. After washing face, it's dry and tight.. But after applying moisturising products, the pores on inner cheeks and front nose radiate shine like liquid, assuming sebum..If use lightweight gel cream moisturiser, it feels tight after a while.. Its hard to decide I am dry, oily combo dehydrated.. I assume it's combo dehydrated

    • @ownsbytessa
      @ownsbytessa 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@emmagal14 i tried beta glucan, it's okay but nothing phenomenal. My holy grail humectant is now Panthenol. Very very very phenomenal ingredients for dehydrated skin and it also have that anti inflammatory property which is a big plus for because my get red easily if i exposed to sun. My no.1 product to combat dehydration is the make prem toner essence. It's a chef kiss. I can feel a huge difference if use or didn't use the toner. You should try that too

Thank you very much, I took picture examples of the products to check into, it's appreciated! Personally, as someone with sensitive, and dry skin type, along with currently mildly dehydrated, I find I've been loving specific moisturizers for certain needs, per a day to day basis, as well.
Aquaphor's Baby Healing Ointment is a great spot repair treatment to seal, and repair, even smooths the lips (just making sure not to further ingest it). As well as Vaseline with Cocoa Butter (travel friendly jar size).
~ Eucerin's Original Healing Lotion (jar size) as a daily occlusive, thick daily facial moisturizer has been honestly one of my favorites, it's not for everyone because it is a thick moisturizing texture, though I love it, and it's great to massage in for daily use, gently.
Thayer's Rose Water after gentle cleansing, has become a favorite (to further moisturizing). ->
I've been combining this moisturizer with La Roche Posay's Double Repair Moisturizer UV (amazing right after Benzoyl Peroxide by the way: will immediately soothe redness with its niacinamide & ceramides to Hyaluronic Acid: stings because of its HA when applying but once it settles: it's a helpful product: I've given it a chance because of its hydrating benefits), everywhere minus the eye area because mine are sensitive; itches, gets watery as an entire fest lol, so I double layer moisturizers after toning with Rose Water. And/or spot treatment (with the ointment or Vaseline even advanced scar gel: for PIH- very slow to seemingly ineffective: might give into Cortaid or brighteners- am also interested in eye creams :o lol) accordingly.
Eucerin's Advanced Repair Lotion is what I like using for the body, I feel it's very similar to La Roche Posay's Liktar AP line (could vary).

Actually, hyaluronic acid has been very harmful to my skin. Instead of hydrating, it sucks the moisture out of my skin, leaving my skin extremely dry. My skin would become very tight and many fine lines would form overnight whenever I used a product with hyaluronic acid in it. It was quite scary. I really wish they wouldn’t put hyaluronic acid in nearly every skincare product, even the products made for sensitive skin. I’d never buy any skincare products that contain hyaluronic acid in the ingredients list, after I found out what it was doing to my skin.

    • @sarahsadaka

The air will try suck out the moisture in your skin. Esp after this hyro acid. You must lock it in with a heavier moisturizer to prevent that.

Hi, My face always feels tight(for 2 years), even after eating hot food or cooking it gets tight, I use Cerave but I still need to reapply every hour just to reduce the tight feeling. This video helped me realise I need to add hydration before using an occlusive. I never had acne till this year but have always had dry skin, i think my skin barrier is damaged. would you reccomend the Neutrogena hydro boost, then LRP lipikar balm then aquaphore to fix it?. Ive spent a great deal of time and money trying to address this but I keep breaking out and feel tight all day my skin looks dull

It isn’t. I have sensitive skin, and I’ve had some horrific experiences with hyaluronic acid. It has severely dried out my skin to the point that many fine lines appeared on my face overnight and my skin felt very tight when I tried to move my face. Personally, I avoid all products that contain hyaluronic acid because of the bad experiences I’ve had with it.

Dr Liu also lives in a humid environment. Therefore, HA may not affect her skin like it does for someone with dry skin in a dryer environment, like Colorado. HA can actually make dry skin worse in a dry climate even when using occlusives
