I use a glycolic acid toner under eyes and on forehead every other day in the morning before Vitamin C serum. In addition to preventing milia, glycolic acid has been found to stimulate the skin to produce more collagen.

Thank you for educating me about prevention and treatment of milia! I will definitely try out your recommendations.
Do you also mind making a video about what syringoma is and treatment options? I was diagnosed with syringoma years ago and have tried RF Agnes laser as a treatment option which helped after 5 sessions reducing the size, but after like 2 years, they are appearing again. I would love to hear what your thoughts are on this topic or the latest news or treatments dealing with syringoma. Would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I have both rosacea and milia and already use azelaic acid, do you recommend switching to glycolic acid or adding it in on opposing days? I am already alternating azelaic acid and tretinoin.

I recently started CPAP for sleep apnea. I’ve noticed that I am getting a few milia in a line right where the mask sits on my face.

Thank you Jenny! I'm wondering if you know of azelaic products within moisturizers or face washes. I already have a lot of steps to my routine so don't want to add another serum, but think azelaic would benefit me!

I've heard the Ordinary's is pretty drying, so that one is probably out

I’m not aware of that many because effective, as like acid needs to be in a higher concentration, often prescription, or in a serum

As a derm, would you say its better to use azelaic acid twice daily but over moisturizer, or azelaic acid once daily but directly on the skin ?

Azelaic acid is best when used 2x daily and under moisturizer

Hi, Dr. Liu So, I believe that I have milia. I can see them under my lower eye and upper lids close to my eye brows. I guess basically around my eyes. There very small but noticeable as I zoom in to my mirror. I never knew what that was until I googled. You mentioned Adapalene to help work out the little cysts around the eyes but be very careful. I never used Adapalene before. Do you suggest to start using it to help with my milia or use just retinol that you mentioned. I appreciate any suggestions that will help. Thank you Leticia

Adapalene is probably going to be the most effective irritating if you are gonna give it a try to start off 1 to 2 times a week, and then gradually increase
