    Thank you for showing how the transfer case is disassembled and assembled. Right now I'm checking the transfer case of my s10 Blazer 91. Greetings from Mexico City.

    I will probably never do a project like this - But I enjoy this series you've put together. Excellent Quality Video's - I like all the different camera angles. Will be great reference video(s) for the Jeep community for many many years.

    Good video, I'm just replacing my input and output seals but wasn't sure if there was supposed to be gasket or RTV between seal cover and the case, it appeared that it had an RTV seal, but there was barely anything there and I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be, now I know, thanks.

    If I were to use a np321C for my jeep, could I replace the np231c input and front case housing for the np231j? Essential making the np231c fit a jeep 6 bolt round pattern with 23spline input?

    You really don't need a blind hole puller to get the bearing out of the input shaft. you can drive it out from the other side if you don't have a puller. I know it is necessary to get the bearing out of the rear case half. Just an fyi for the flat rater's out there.

      I’ve heard you can heat it up and tap the case and the bearing will fall out but I have not tested that theory

      @@TestDontguess I imagine you could do it that way. The bearing isn't very tight. I just used one of my small slide hammers and it popped right out. Took less than a minute.

    What makes "Assembly Grease" any different then regular grease??

    • @TestDontguess
      @TestDontguess  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Assembly grease is designed for rebuilding motors as the film of grease has high anti seize properties to prevent scoring at first start up before proper oil lubrication can be achieved

      The biggest difference is that it will turn into a liquid (dissolves) easily when heated and won't clog filters.
