Todays video i'm taking a 4 gear planetary and making a 6 gear planetary from using planet gears from the left over Planetary from the NP231J. this is actually pretty easy but you need to remember how everything in the transfer case lines up. remember the 3 washers need to be inside every planet gear especially the one in the center that separates the 2 sets of roller bearings

Must be a *_no talent ass-clown_* that couldn't change an air-filter in their car to save their life. Just did a 3 gear --> 6 gear planetary swap in the NP231J & now the 4.0L in the TJ "sounds" different overall...like one of those safari rigs in Africa or something = can handle more torque spikes when the need arises. Good video!!!!
