    I purchased a 2020 Expedition Max in June of 2022 and I absolutely love it. We took it to Mexico for our first long road trip. As anyone who’s ever driven in Mexico will know driving down there can be pretty crazy. The Expedition Max handled it all like a champ. On the way home we brought back my wife’s family with us, 7 adults and one child in a car seat, with all of our gear. With the reclining seats in all three rows and plenty of leg room as well everyone was very comfortable. Recently I started renting out the vehicle on Turo in Denver. So far I’ve had six rentals in the last six weeks and have had outstanding reviews from every group of renters. It is scheduled to be rented out for 55 of the next 60 days on Turo for a reason. In my opinion the Expedition Max beats out the Suburban and Yukon XL hands down.

    The extra road noise is from the roof crossbars. Remove them and much quieter.

    Parking spaces at work are on the small side. Even with parking assist, it would probably take extra time to maneuver for vehicles this size.

    So nice. The only thing they need to rectify is to replace the knob with a column-shifter.

      John Grytbakk It’s about effortless operation. I personally prefer a console shifter over a column shifter, but apparently a rotary dial is easier than both. I’m not a fan of push button and rotary shifts.

    I'm sure you've already considered this, but at times the tires can become an issue where road noise is concerned. At least, that has been my experience from time to time. However, this appears to be a very good, large SUV. I love all of that extra cargo capacity and torque!

    • @bruniogregorio8241
      @bruniogregorio8241 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ becardamone Although my current Grand Cherokee has one, I’m not a huge fan of them. They have a few downsides. 1.) dangerous in roll overs, just another window to potentially go through 2.) Hail. I live in OK and we frequently have hail. Large hail can and does break through sunroofs and can then severely injure the exposed passengers 3.) less head room. Vehicles equipped with sunroofs have lower ceilings to create space for the sunroof motor 4.) the sun is blinding when checking blind spots, sometimes even forward vision, makes the interior metals reflective and distracting 5.) potentially higher level of road noise unless it is double paneled, acoustically laminated glass AND has sound deadening material in the ceiling surrounding the glass (like dynamat). I don’t fault Ford for this, as every other full size suv is adopting the panoramic gig to satisfy buyers. The new 2021 Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade also have them and have to be bought because you have to get it if you want most any of the other features. Both GM and Ford should option a standard sunroof and make it to where someone doesn’t have to get it if are wanting other features in the options packages but not a sunroof.

    I went to a Ford dealership with my family to check out a 2020 expedition and was told that this vehicle is only for rich people. I didn't even get a chance to see it up close. They asked what I drive now and why am I even looking at such a high-end vehicle. I drive a simple F150 with 302a package that I bought brand new in 2016. They then directed me to their preowned lot across the street and showed me one that they said is more suitable for me, it was a 2001 expedition base model
