While the brands have changed over time, YSL was one of the first designers to put black models on his runways. Coco Chanel collaborated with the Nazis. If I can't back that person up, I don't want their logo on me.

Love this! As a small business owner, I couldn't justify a Chanel bag. Instead, I discovered STAND Studio (new Scandinavian house if I'm not mistaken) who makes the "Brynn" bag. It's lambskin, with the quilting detail I love. At 10% of the price of a Chanel standard. I purchased the brass interchangeable handle from FRAME. I'm happy and so is my bank account :-) Also, will last just as long cause it's lambskin. A classic is a classic. The bake sale comment is sending me LOL! I agree with other commenters and your own about exclusivity, pricing others (us) out, and reducing resale markets. I now own more handbags from Black designers than heritage houses and I'm happy about that.

We have such similar taste, I'm into studded bags, black-on-black bags, bold animal prints/stripes, bold gold jewelry, metallic bags, etc... your bottega bag OMGG is SO LOVELY, I''ve been eyeing it for a long time but after seeing you style it, I just purchased a dupe for it (to see how it feels and eventually will want to get the real one). I own a mini Givenchy antigona in a brass/gold metallic leather and a few Valentino studded bags, one is black on black studded, and most of my other bags are statement pieces or studded in some way. I've always loved my style, but recently I've befriended some ladies my age and it made me question my taste for a bit. I am 27 and I swear I get judged for my taste, because most of my same age friends are trying to dress older (idk if it's because my friends and I are filipinos and we tend to get carded ALL the time, and I've almost been turned down for a job because they thought I was still in high school, so we have to make an effort to look older to be taken more seriously D: ), so a lot of them own more classic bags you mentioned here or try to dress a lot older in an effort to "look less juvenile" (one of my friend's words), which of course nothing wrong with that, but I tend to gravitate towards bags and clothing that look exactly like yours, and I can't bring myself to like most classic items...my most classic item is another mini antigona but in black, but it's edgy because of the shiny box leather. My friends have never said it to me personally, but they always bring up pieces like your alternatives and say that they look too gaudy or too "young". I remember we were comparing handbag wish lists and they were all going "how cute!" at the classic bags, but when they saw my wishlist, they tried not to say anything. So I always feel out of place, but when I see the way you wear all your beautiful pieces that are similar to mine in such a sophisticated and leveled up way, it's just so inspiring to me. :) It makes me feel better about my taste in items and my fashion style in general. Lol I'm 24 and the Chanel classic flaps and Dior Ladies dominate my collection but I loved and laughed through this entire video. 😂 I love the different perspective but I'm happy to pay a premium for "classics" because I can buy them and feel satisfied knowing that when I'm 50 they'll still be classics and that my daughters and granddaughters can use them as classics! But also, I completely agree people should get alternatives as long as they don't feel like they're settling.

for me it's the speedy from LV that's looks like a grandma bag, oh my god !!!! I never understood how come people are going grazy frenzy about it !!! even if they give it to me for free I would never wear it !!!! I really like the Yves Saint Laurent house they have a very good craftsmanship, a beautiful quality leather which create stunning bags that can substitute a lot of so-called classics from other relatively more expensive luxury houses.
I opted for the Burberry black cashmere and wool trench over the tan trench. I find it much more versatile and classy...still a wonderful trench silhouette, but the color a fabrication sold me on it. Great advice!

I love this video! Especially re: classic flap, it just doesn’t move me unless it’s in a seasonal color and even then I just appreciate it on others. However, I will give thoughts on the Cartier Love bracelet, I don’t own one but I am debating between that and the Juste Un Clou because of the weight of the items. They don’t provide weight for these pieces but you’re getting solid gold at that price and I’ve felt them both (they are sumptuous). Same with the JUC rings, they are substantial. I haven’t found another bracelet that compares (yet).

It is soooo refreshing to hear someone stating what most of us think deep down: a) I happily buy shoes and other items from Chanel and still to this date cannnot justify the price of their bags (even before the prices increases from the last couple of years). I still plan to get a vintage one just because I am a luxury sucker, and will do so at the “right” price b) Don’t even let me get started on the Lady Dior. Even the all matte versions that are quite refreshing in my view did not make the cut for me to pull the trigger. c) The Chanel classic ballerinas. OMG ! Agree on your take re the Dior flats, but also that the flat Chanel slingback are a better direction to take And thanks for the tip re the Valentino bag! Again, love love loooved this video !
I got my Cartier love 10 years ago from my husband and it was almost 30% less! He wanted to get me another and I said get me the Just en Clou instead. This was very entertaining :) I loved the video, even if I do not agree with some of your opinions (which is of course totally fine - that's the beauty of everyone having their own style). I absolutely love Lady Dior's design (it's my absolute favourite handbag too) and not a fan of rock studs at all. In the end of the day when spending that much on an accessory you gotta make sure it reflects your style and you love it.

I love this video! Especially re: classic flap, it just doesn’t move me unless it’s in a seasonal color and even then I just appreciate it on others. However, I will give thoughts on the Cartier Love bracelet, I don’t own one but I am debating between that and the Juste Un Clou because of the weight of the items. They don’t provide weight for these pieces but you’re getting solid gold at that price and I’ve felt them both (they are sumptuous). Same with the JUC rings, they are substantial. I haven’t found another bracelet that compares (yet).
I have the JUC and love it! Got the small with diamonds. Love Cartier as a brand, but think the entire Love collection is overhyped. Thanks for watching! 💕

Hi there, watched this as it popped randomly son my YT Fred and I am so pleased I did. It is soooo refreshing to hear someone stating what most of us think deep down:
a) I happily buy shoes and other items from Chanel and still to this date cannnot justify the price of their bags (even before the prices increases from the last couple of years). I still plan to get a vintage one just because I am a luxury sucker, and will do so at the “right” price
b) Don’t even let me get started on the Lady Dior. Even the all matte versions that are quite refreshing in my view did not make the cut for me to pull the trigger.
c) The Chanel classic ballerinas. OMG ! Agree on your take re the Dior flats, but also that the flat Chanel slingback are a better direction to take
