A really amazing tip I have is about color in your wardrobe. If you’re ever out and you notice a color on a building, a flower, etc. that attracts your eye, take a picture of it and seek out that color the next time you go shopping. I never thought I would be into periwinkle until I saw it on someone’s door!

great tips...one no-brainer way of elevating your style is monochromatic dressing- wearing the same color from head to toe automatically makes whatever you're wearing look so chic even if the individual pieces aren't so high-end...I do this a lot with navy blue and chocolate brown...add some attitude and you own the room!
I’m actually building me a brooch collection. I got so many compliments whenever I wore my brooch. It was such a simple way to enhance my look. I also am a contrast dresser and it’s such a fun way to challenge my styling skills.

Since I’m not really into handbags and my hair is short, I use accessories a lot to enhance my style. I absolutely love eyeglasses and I wear them as a fashion statement. I see sunglasses get a lot more love than a good pair of specs. Also, I would say I’m a luxe minimalist. I wear the same bracelets, rings, earrings and brooch every day and switch out items like hats and scarves. Another thing that I consider an accessory is makeup. I wear a red lip quite often.

Same thing goes for eyeglasses - wearing them creates the opportunity to do more with the eyes without looking overdone.

I love mixing styles. Ever since I got into fashion, was mixing dressy and casual, without really noticing; it just felt and looked right and comfortable. I love my jeans, but I love even more my trousers, especially paired with my sneakers. Trousers and a blazer, plus a sneaker. And my very dressy tweed pearl-button jacket from Sandro looks like a dream, paired with my straight-leg blue jeans from H&M. Whoever came up with the 'mixing styles' idea was simply a genius. Even though I'm still struggling with styling slip dresses and skirts, I'm pretty confident and comfortable with how I dress up and down my trousers and jeans.

When you talked about texture I knew that we were on the same Aries page lol My style uniform is a button up top in various shapes/sizes/colors with high waisted wide leg pants/jeans or midi skirt. Throw in some razzle dazzle with patent leather, suede, fringe, glitter, feathers, ect. I love mixing prep with gawdy because I don’t like to look too serious.

Love the video, I just have a question for any of the folks watching. I would love to play around more with oversized bottoms, but I find it difficult to do with my body type. I'm 5'2" but I'm very curvy, 32" waist, 50" hips (more hips than butt), big thighs and calves, short legs. Whenever I go for oversized bottoms I find that I look frumpy. Wide legged trousers or jeans tend to make my legs look like little tree trunks 😂 so i tend to stick with high waisted (always), tapered, tighter fitting bottoms. Does anyone else struggle with this?
I’m a little taller 5’4 😂 but I go for high waisted wide leg jeans most often. The trick for me has been to size up so they are oversized and get the waist taken in. I’m hippy with a large behind and very thick thighs.
Agree with the tribe here - the trick is to get them altered. I’m on the opposite end of the height spectrum, almost six feet tall with curves. I’ve gotten the waist taken in on almost every pair of pants that I’ve bought in the last six months. For my petite sisters, you may also need to get the hem taken up.
