I have the same V70 with the same heater problem. The heater fan will only run if I drive the car until the engine is hot, then turn the engine off and then restart it. The fan then begins to run and continues to do so. The controller lights flash amber when the fan is not running. I have not been able to clear the codes. Please can you tell me if you had any success after you made this video?
Thanks for the video! I am now struggling with the same issue. No blower motor whatsoever, ordered a new motor but it simply won't turn on. ECC blinks at me for 20 seconds. I've got a known good resistor on the way, but I hope that will solve the issue. Is there no way to clear out ECC codes (e.g. hard reset) without using fancy computers?
