I know you're more about the online game, but I would LOVE one of these for tabletop leagues separated into short, medium, and long leagues. I'm currently playing Elven Union in tabletop, and I was thinking of your 'Take 5' run a lot because in game one a blitzer died. Online you just rerack the team, but of course in tabletop you just have to soldier on!
I think Elves and Skaven are pretty damn good at high TV.
The only problem is they wont stay there because they just die away🤣
The only Elven Union team in the Season 5 Ladder so far ("Revenge of the union") added one or two armor to all their Blitzers and Catchers, and played 95 games so far...(53W 16D 26L). One of the Blitzers played 94 games (the other played "only" 55), and Catchers played 84, 78, 70, 34. TV 1,545,000. SR 2,019.
imo, for 'the ladder' on low tv, you can enjoy to coach these teams:
Orcs, Dwarfs, Undead, Humans, Dark Elves, Elven Union, Wood Elves, Chaos Chosen, OWA, Skaven, Necromantic - in no particular order. They are all good teams with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Rest of them are just pain, until you skill them up properly (Black Orcs, Nurgle, Lizardmen, Chaos Renegades) or if you 'enjoy specific gameplay' (Underworld).
i enjoy almost all team and at all Tv exept dwarfs and all the match against dwarfs :)
and i dont have pbs with orc cause they dont kill the matchup against ag team by design with tacle .

I think Blorcs can be good but the coach needs to be very strong at positioning the players. Grab spam is massively underrated - great for surfing!

@@TheWaffleRadioI think they are pretty tough to regularly win with. I did pretty well with them in a league, but I think 99% chance I'd have done noticeably better with orcs.

@@markysgeeklab8783 Yeah it doesn't make them T1. But as an agi team getting your dudes sucked into the middle of a bunch of blorcs and fouled to shit is pretty concerning! Especially thinking about the rest of the season and cas that can happen

I would love to hear andy's team tier list for short leagues. Since many of these teams only become good when they reach 1200 TV maybe other teams take the best spot?

PS I like playing at 1200 ish TV because I don't need to think about & remember crazy amounts of skills when planning my turn.
I would argue that starting chaos with a troll, 4 warriors and 2rr is strong enough to be put into a good tier. You've got quite a lot of strength, good agility and good movespeed. Strength allows you to mark most of the opposition players while saving a beastman for 4str blitz.
They still have no skills, but their stats make up for it in my opinion.
And coming closer to 1200tv, how good the team is just depends on how you lvl them up. Like blocks or mb first.

Me too! Troll + 4 warrior build gives you more con-troll of the field (unless Troll goes excessively 'stupid') Although, 2rr can be detrimental if you roll badly on block dice..
@@AndyDavoBloodBowl It's trading a reroll that has 1/3 chance to fail since all actions on chaos are 3+. And you get a big guy that's creating space for beastman by being able to mark anyone, as well as tanking damage so your mobile players won't die. Chaos with a troll quite reliably overpowers anyone.
@@TheDigimarauder Chaos can afford some turnovers from blocks. As you don't really need to exactly win a fight, just create enough space for a beastman to hit the ball. Or if it's your attack - protect the ball before blocking.
@@azzik9931 no team can really 'afford turnovers' - especially if it happens on your first action. Against agility teams, few untimely turnovers can get you easily out positioned => gg wp...
Great video as always Andy! If you were to add either Khorne or Vampires to this list, where would you rank them?
I mean this respectfully because you're a much more experienced player than me, but I feel like you have black orcs all wrong. Early TV they are reasonably strong as having brawler and grab are better than many of the other strength teams with no starting skills and you don't have to deal with guard spam. Mid TV I'd have to put them as bad as you're working on getting basic skills like block/mb/guard when others are starting to take off. High TV they begin to redeem themselves again as every blorc is stacked with powerful skills and you have the foul game rolling along. They're a good-bad-good for me, or at least challenging at worst.

You mentioned you would do chaos renegades differently with skills, what sort of stuff would you do?
Also I've been talking and doing custom games with Hyperbrain a lot and he's convinced Troll is the best on Chaos! He's also a fairly defensive player tho and really appreciates "wall" players. I personally love the minotaur even though I think it's probably the worst one.

Agreed. I just started playing them and they're really refreshing. Your Dwarves all have Block or Brawler so they're more reliable than a non-Loner unskilled player, and your Humans are cheap and efficient. The Tree really is a surprisingly cheap huge lump in the middle of the board and I love it, even when it roots on turn 1. You get all of your positionals and 3 dedicated fans in the initial roster, as you can get away with 2 rerolls until you get leader because of all the skills you get initially, and they grow really nicely. I'm vibing with them a lot.
And throwing halflings for one-turns is so addicting. The tree is the best thrower for this on any team. Almost 50% chance with a reroll. On defense if the tree roots you can throw halflings at the other team too. A tough team to master, but so much fun!
I really love OWA as a fun and underrated team. Where I run into trouble is when the positionals get hurt. Losing the catcher or human blitzer is very painful.

I am sure the 1000 TV OWA can beat 1000 TV Nurgle. We can test that. The Nurgle just lack skills and RR whereas the OWA start with 3 Block, Sure Hands, Catch, Dodge to do stuff. And then there is the tree to tie down oponents.
My underworld team only pick skills for Rogre,Gutter and Blitzer. Others will random skills. However the team already reached 1.25K value very fast. How do other underworld coaches limit their team value with 3 rerolls. 😢
Im surprised you have Dwarves at high TV in only strong. Their guard, Mb, stand firm build sets the bar up there. Orks are one of the only teams that can fight into it well, but they don’t set the bar
I'm reading online that randoming a skill increases the TV by the full amount on ladder now, is this true?

@@connerhurd277 we don't know yet. They are 2 of the last teams that were soldered, but dunno if we will see them next
Your underworld placement for mid-tier lower than agi teams doesn't make any sense... They are absolute menace for any agi team I've played, I hate playing against them as much as I hate playing against dorfs. Most matches against underworld was lost for me, and half the time my team got a lot of nasty casualties too..
1700 underworld would be silly. bunch of strength 3 juiced up snotlings
