Great video. Could you do a series on Team Weaknesses and how to play against each team, maybe from the perspective of different play styles (bash, dash, etc.). Norse weaknesses are pretty obvious (the low armor), but if you're kicking against them in the 1st half you're going to be in for some unavoidable pain. How do play smartly against them, especially as a bash team that doesn't start with block (black orcs, lizardmen, etc)
I recently ran a Norse team, for 2 seasons in our LGS league. I found that, saving for a stat up first on your Valkyrie is too sweet to pass up. I Rolled Two stats on My Superstar Valkyrie, and ended up with MA for the first one and AG on the second, by the end of the first season. The other Valkyrie I took several passing skills and Diving Catch on my Berserkers, really took my league by storm.
Thanks for the video. I do love my Beer Boars. I play Norse in tournaments and in our league. All of my opponents hate the little guys. They go places on a 2+, lend support and pick-me-up annoys opponents. By the way: They look nice. Got mine from Greebo Games. And you will cherish the anecdotal times when they perform miracles. That look on your opponets face will warm the long nights in the norse :-)
I highly recommend taking armor up on some lineman during the late game. What this does is allows you to set up on the line of scrimmage and take more hits than you normally would allowing the rest of your team to win. For a league it's a little bit more hesitant but for any tournaments it is amazing. You're paying 10K and using it as a buckler for your glass Cannon team
I know this is an older video, but it's really the only one about improving a Norse roster. For my team in a bash heavy league, I've been building the positions for these roles: Valkyrie: Safety/QB. Stay near my line to pick up the ball to distribute the ball or prevent my opponent from scoring. So far have Block and Dodge, but will plan to add a combination of Sure Hands, Nerves of Steel, Wrestle and Sidestep. Ulfs &Yhetee: Heavy hitters near the line. No skills yet, but want Mighty Blow and Block. Berserkers: this is where my roles might be unique. I'm building these two as Runners. They get the ball from the Valkyries. Especially with jump up, your opponent will forget about them and they'll be on the ground by themselves ready to grab the ball and run down the field.
I really feel that playing Valkyries as just a runner and build them as blodger, in a roster already full blockers is wasting a very good ball player, and playing ball with your twins will help them farm a lot of PP. Dodge and accurate will make for a solid base, then you could have one spec as thrower and the other as catcher. Having one of them have nerve of steel and dump-off and have herbe flanked by her sister will make the ball very hard to get back once they get them too.
IMO, the lineman can go full on random general skills and get easy super player. Almost every single skills is gonna improve them. 7 SPP is gonna offer 2 skills to add to block for only 70k tv and you have 5-6 of these guys. One of my favorite players.
Brawler is good to keep you alive, it also usefull to get thoses nice POW that help you take down thoses pesky blodgers or even just make even more damage...
Just cause you mentioned it in passing, do you think shadowing would be worth it if it was an agility roll with a +1 if you're faster than the target, -1 if you're slower than the target?
Consider using The White Dwarf with Norse. Want to foul with a Beer Boar ? Give it Mighty Blow or block or blitz with Dauntless. Yhettee with Mighty Blow one turn and Break Tackle on another turn. Ulfwerener, Valkyrie or Berzerker with Frenzy and Mighty Blow? Norse Lineman with Sure Feet? I’m going to try it!
Hye man, started with Blood Bowl recently and picked up few teams. Is there any cool Star Players that would work for either Ogres, Black Orcs or Dwarves? (I also have Imperial Nobility but humies are boring x). Personally can't wait for the new model of the troll guy, he looks amazing!

im in a random draft league and i did that on my norse linemen n zombies...some turned out really good

Running Norse in our current league and I'm comforted to know that most of my skill choices have been validated :)
if you start with a beer boar or 2 as your 11, you fire them after the first game, and they get upgraded to norse lineman journeymen
Doesn't the J-men points still count against your total.
@@FoulPetyea, they do. But a Loner 4+ block S3 player is much harder to deal with than a boar.
I can't believe you didn't recommend Sure Foot for a Valkyrie! For a 3rd skill - HECK YEAH IMO
Sprint is better for her than sure foot.
