Many of you will be happy to know, I have purchased a new grill! This one will be used occasionally through the winter and then sold cheap as I replace it with the new one! :D :D

Sir, those lobsters made my mouth water! Bravo! I'm grilling lobster for tonight's dinner.
Don't toss the shells if you eat a lot of shrimp and lobster. They freeze nicely (6 months or more) to boil later for clam chowder, lobster bisques, clam bakes and fish stock. Experienced seafood cooks know that there is still a lot of heavenly delicious flavor in those discarded crustacean shells! Think of it as 'recycling...' :)

    Looks yummy.
But I'm wondering... Why did you butter the shell on the back of the tail?

I like to use unsweetened butter and then add the salt as I deem fit. Looks fantastic though and you had my mouth watering like nobodies business.
Thanks for the detailed info and video.
Thumbs up and God Bless bro.

I feel that if you pop the lobster out of its shell then you can butter both sides while they are grilling ...

It is difficult to get the meat from the shell while uncooked. Cooking it frees it from the shell. The shell also guards them from the heat to help them from overcooking. I have never actually tried it, but if you do, let me know how it goes.

Once I saw the gas grill, I knew the "Done Right" in this video's title was not true.

Why in the world are you seasoning the shell

    • @dannyboyz7061
      @dannyboyz7061  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

In my opinion, it helps retain moisture while cooking, but doesn't really hurt anything. It probably isn't totally necessary. Give it a try and tell me what you think! :)

Considering it's ultimately going to be soaking in the butter pan I'm sure it doesn't hurt for it to contribute a little flavor to it.

Recipe for the butter dip ? Please

    • @dannyboyz7061

I started with 1 stick of butter, but went about 2 total. So, 2 sticks of butter, a whole head of garlic diced (probably about 3 tablespoons of diced garlic), a grip of fresh parsley (however much you want really) and a tablespoon of red pepper flake

Look at those results! PERFECT! Moistens and cools to help from over cooking too. ;)

richard wallace. They are Lobster Tails. Not whole Lobsters. Lobster tails are amazing because that's where 90% of the meat is located.

So your idea of cooking lobster tail Is get a grill use it for 5 years don't ever clean it and then throw one of the best things you can cook on the grill or anywhere for that matter. And just throw it on. Yub ribs were good 4 July 2016 still tasting. Yes they look good but just gross.

Nasty grill, at least put the shell side down dude, I wouldn't eat anything off that filthy grill. Also, why cut the tails in half before cooking? I always split the shell with shears and pull the meat out and set it on top of the shell ah la any good seafood place. Learn how to cook dude.
