    I recently replaced the factory front rotors and pads on my 2015 RC350 F Sport RWD with aftermarket parts. Went with the Powerstop kit CRK8418 from RockAuto which contained one-piece rotors JBR1901EVC & JBR1900EVC and economy ceramic pad (171686) kit. Rotors are coated and nicely machined. Performed the recommended break-in procedure. After a couple days the brakes squealed so loud my ears hurt. Changed the pads out with Import Direct brand "ceramic" pads from Oreilly Auto Parts. Same thing.
    Third set of pads - Carquest PXD1586H Professional Platinum Ceramic Brake Pad Kit from Advance Auto Parts. Bullseye!! Zero noise, excellent braking, low dust. Pads cost under $55.

    Guys I had the same issue but found the solution finally. Have your mechanic change the shim kit and everything in area. The piece was only $10. No squeaks at all!

    Especially the front brembo style calipers are prone to squeak. For my GS450H I cleaned, scraped and filed out the inner caliper surfaces well and put new grease over all the moving surfaces. It is also important to bed in new pads, typically braking 30-0mph 30 times.

    About a year ago, I used this old-timer's trick on my friends 2011 GS that had this squeak problem. I added copper sheet metal (.021 inch thick) between the pads and caliper pistons. That fixed the problem then, but he just came back with a slight return of the squeak. So I added an extra layer of copper sheet behind each pad. Also, I noticed the flat spring (shaped like a letter "H") that holds in the pads would ring like a bell when held up and tapped with a metal tool. So I wrapped the center bar of the "H" with copper sheet. The car is again quiet, for now. I had the sheet metal on hand, so this fix cost me no money.
    I believe these cars have this squeak problem because the calipers are fixed so solidly to the car. Most cars have floating calipers that make it harder to transfer high-frequency vibrations (squeaks). My copper solution has always worked on the floating caliper cars.

    Holy shit. Same problem on my 08 IS350. I bought OEM pads/rotors (front and rear) from Hendrick Lexus in Huntersville NC. Put on my son who is a Honda Tech.
    However I did not buy the shims. Only The front right was squeaking LOUD like yours- YES embarrassing!
    No noise on rear brakes..
    I brought it to Lexus they looked at it and installed the shims and noise gone!

    is gs 350 F sport rotor a 2 piece that is why more expensive? would you consider a 1 piece or is there one made for F sport ?

  • @HiepNotik
    @HiepNotik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Put the OEM 2 piece rotors and match it with the OEM pads, remember to buy the shims that go between the piston and pads, put some break grease on the shims and you should be good to go. I have the same exact GS model. The original 2 piece rotors are high performance and will beat any slotted after market rotors. The reason why the OEM rotors are so expensive it’s because it’s 2 piece and not a solid piece like most cars. Look up 2 piece rotors vs 1 piece, you’ll find out the difference.

    • @ericastanton2010
      @ericastanton2010 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      since rotor so expensive , would you just swap out the pads and not change rotor. my brake pads in front is now down to 50% after just 15K miles. I am dreading to pay the cost of the brake job again , 1K dollars for front brakes. thinking about just leave same rotor and swap out new pad, BOSCH quietcast now just 50%.,...I am not sure but wonder if more damage to rotor occur if let brakes go down to 20% as opposed to 50%

    • @ericastanton2010

    I have talk with Lexus yesterday about this. The guy who works there told me, the all Sports model makes noise on the break and they never is going to tell customers. I believe him in parts, because isn’t just Sports models. Is all Lexus Models is doing this, my car is on warranty and they not doing anything. Customer service at Lexus should be ashamed. My car was at the body shop recommended buy Lexus, and they have done a bed job. When I had call and complain about, the lady on the phone told me there I should bring a man with me if I plain to return to the body shop. I have returned and they have dent my car, I have pictures before I bring the car. But who is going to help me on this? They are a big company. Everybody should sign and make a petition for some changes.

    China rotors don't work on 2015 Lexus F Sport. You must use the OEM two piece rotor. Use EBC Ultimax II pads with the Lexus shims and lube.. No squweel ==and you will double the life of the rotor over the f Sport pads. They don't have a solution for you because you are trying China rotors that do not work in this unit. It's not designed for a one piece rotor.

      I have a ls500 fsport. I had the same issue with new break pads but fixed it. Just took the breaks off and cleaned and wiped them really good used CRC disc break quite on the back of the break pad between the pad and the hardware and CRC lube too make sure you lube any metal to metal contact points and on the back it the hardware for the break pad. Throw in extra lube if needed. Just make sure you clean the whole area really well before you add any lube or disc break quite on there. That should eliminate your squeak. Hopefully you try it and works for you guys like it worked for me! Good luck!!!
