When I first went against Marx in Classic Mode playing as Kirby, it wasn’t only a great boss fight but it caught me off guard and left me surprised that he was a boss in Smash. It’s a shame he wasn’t a fighter but it was a great boss fighter nevertheless!
I fought him on 9.9 with inkling (one of my mains) and ended it with about 200%. I felt so good getting the final hit and spammed side taunt afterwards

arzfan29 I’m not the biggest fan of Melee, but I generally prefer the Melee Giga Bowser fight. The fact it’s a traditional stock battle and not a health bar battle makes the fight way more intense and challenging. The fact the devs gave him a health bar in Ultimate just removes from the challenge of having to defeat him like a normal fighter.

I figured out how to beat Porky in 10 seconds Step 1: Use Kirby. Step 2: go above Porky. Step 3: use down special on corner of the machine. It may take a few tries, but soon you’ll see his health bar go down to nothing
How to beat subspace ground Bosses: 1-pick Charizard 2-walk up to that mf 3-spam side b. I swear to god, brawls Charizards side b is the wierdest move: useless against other players, but absolutely destroys the bosses health bar on hit
I wish we could get a true Boss Rush mode for Ultimate like Brawl did, along with Tabuu and Master Core returning. Those bosses are just too good to be left behind in their respective games!
Boss rush is 100 percent necessary. I know sakurai said no more new modes, but I hate having to do the finale of world of light just to fight the bosses again.

Marx was absolutely perfect for Rosalina’s Classic Mode, especially with her teaming up with Mario, creating some sort of storyline of them investigating the latest threat to the universe.
Gotta say, Marx and Galeem/Dharkon were easily my favorite bosses. While Marx was fairly easy, it was such a joy fighting him. Reminds me of Super Star/Ultra, which is a great thing. While Galeem/Dharkon aren't too tough, they've still got some attacks that will keep you on your toes as well as the amazing music playing in the background...
Agreed, and if I had to rank the final battle with both of them, then it would of definitely been above tabuu at least, because the build up, clone fights while climbing a weird platform tower, and a boss Russ right before the final battle made it an extremely amazing fight in my eyes.
Is no one going to mention how galeam and dharkons attacks make more sense when you realize that the attacks are meant to counter one another and not the player. Like the entire final battle of ultimate is literally two gods fighting each other to the death while you add damage and you are just occasionally taking collateral damage until they finally acknowledge you halfway through the fight. And I find that hilarious and awesome at the same time

The thing I love most about Rathalos is how perfectly his attacks translate from his appearances in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Generations, and the crazy attention to detail to make the fight feel like it was directly transplanted from those titles. Really, the move where he shoots "smart bombs" from the background is the only original attack. - His swoops, fireballs and tail swipes come directly from those two games - Rathalos's roar stuns characters like it does in Monster Hunter. His infamous tendency to shoot a fireball and go airborne as you're stunned comes straight from the games - If you're hit during a particular one of his aerial attack animations, your character will take some flower damage, referencing his venomous talons in the games - He will get stunned if you hit him enough times in the head, which is easiest to do with the exploding deku nuts. This references how Knockout damage works in the Monster Hunter series (hit a monster enough times in the head with blunt weapons and it'll be stunned for a while) - You can bury him with pitfall seeds, which work similarly to the pitfall traps in his native series - Lastly, Rathalos will be battered and bruised by the time you defeat him, with huge scars on his head and body, ripped wings and missing spikes from his tail. He'll also start limping around occasionally. In the Monster Hunter series you're never told the monster's remaining health during a hunt, and have to rely on clues such as physical scars and limps to tell if the monster's about to die. The damage patterns also exactly match those in 4U and Gen
y'all forgot the actual best one; The double duel of Galeem and Dharkon. It's very cool, and you have to go through a gauntlet of stages fighting other characters, and finally when you get to the top you are caught in the crossfires of Galeem and Dharkon fighting as you fend off both to save the world! it's great
Criticising something doesn't mean it's bad, Bandy could have enjoyed Rayquaza a lot more than the hands but he still tougth the battle was better than the battles of the hands
I think Galeem and Dharkon together should have been counted as it`s own spot. Yeah there aren't new attacks, but dealing with both while directing their attacks at each other certainly feels like a new fight.
You forgot about the Master & Crazy hand duel boss battles, they get new attacks when they work in sync with each other making them more of a challenge.

He is also my number 1 smash boss, my favorite Kirby character (and probably favorite Nintendo character but that not sure yet) and my most wanted for the Smash roster (I still believe that he can make it in. Definitely more than Waluigi :P and if not in this game then very likely in the next game. What's sure is that he is the next Ridley)

i've always considered Dharkon the harder of the two since i find it MICH harder to figure out where it's attacks are gonna reach and what not, alongside the backround sometimes making it a bit tough to see a couple attacks (the amount of times the slash that creates the time-slow zones has killed me since i didn't realize he was preparing it is stupid) while galeem's attacks once who know what they are, you can basically do the same thing to dodge, or they clearly project where the attack will be
honestly marx was frustrating enough in super star but in SMASH he was hell on earth. between his new moveset and the fact that u didnt hav access to any of the copy abilities that were in super star nintendo may as well hav put marx on steroids

Fight Galeem and Darkon on hard mode. They are brutal there compared to the normal and easy versions which I find to be pathetic.

Is no one going to mention how galeam and dharkons attacks make more sense when you realize that the attacks are meant to counter one another and not the player. Like the entire final battle of ultimate is literally two gods fighting each other to the death while you add damage and you are just occasionally taking collateral damage until they finally acknowledge you halfway through the fight. And I find that hilarious and awesome at the same time

The thing I love most about Rathalos is how perfectly his attacks translate from his appearances in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Generations, and the crazy attention to detail to make the fight feel like it was directly transplanted from those titles. Really, the move where he shoots "smart bombs" from the background is the only original attack.
- His swoops, fireballs and tail swipes come directly from those two games
- Rathalos's roar stuns characters like it does in Monster Hunter. His infamous tendency to shoot a fireball and go airborne as you're stunned comes straight from the games
- If you're hit during a particular one of his aerial attack animations, your character will take some flower damage, referencing his venomous talons in the games
- He will get stunned if you hit him enough times in the head, which is easiest to do with the exploding deku nuts. This references how Knockout damage works in the Monster Hunter series (hit a monster enough times in the head with blunt weapons and it'll be stunned for a while)
- You can bury him with pitfall seeds, which work similarly to the pitfall traps in his native series
- Lastly, Rathalos will be battered and bruised by the time you defeat him, with huge scars on his head and body, ripped wings and missing spikes from his tail. He'll also start limping around occasionally. In the Monster Hunter series you're never told the monster's remaining health during a hunt, and have to rely on clues such as physical scars and limps to tell if the monster's about to die. The damage patterns also exactly match those in 4U and Gen
The Master Hand(s) snap their fingers now to teleport, instead of just floating around. A *very* good design choice imo!
y'all forgot the actual best one; The double duel of Galeem and Dharkon. It's very cool, and you have to go through a gauntlet of stages fighting other characters, and finally when you get to the top you are caught in the crossfires of Galeem and Dharkon fighting as you fend off both to save the world! it's great

Duon is actually my favorite Smash Bros. boss, because I loved the way it switches between close- and long-range combat.
I dont like that they called Duon and Galleon generic. If they are SO generic why did Galleon return for ultimate?
I think Galeem and Dharkon together should have been counted as it`s own spot. Yeah there aren't new attacks, but dealing with both while directing their attacks at each other certainly feels like a new fight.

But I personally think there’s more interesting ideas with necrozma, what with Galen and dharkon already setting a tone. Thanks that you realize that Marx is the best boss. He is also my number 1 smash boss, my favorite Kirby character (and probably favorite Nintendo character but that not sure yet) and my most wanted for the Smash roster (I still believe that he can make it in. Definitely more than Waluigi :P and if not in this game then very likely in the next game. What's sure is that he is the next Ridley)

i've always considered Dharkon the harder of the two since i find it MICH harder to figure out where it's attacks are gonna reach and what not, alongside the backround sometimes making it a bit tough to see a couple attacks (the amount of times the slash that creates the time-slow zones has killed me since i didn't realize he was preparing it is stupid) while galeem's attacks once who know what they are, you can basically do the same thing to dodge, or they clearly project where the attack will be
