No Multichannel inputs :( but Pre-outs are useful and so are the 4 Subwoofer outputs, I mean that's incredible because I wont be using multiple Converter Plugs for my 4 Subwoofers then...
The 40 has been released. Would love to see a review. BTW you schooled an old Hi-Fi guy here about the dots being outputs lol. I always wondered that but could not figure that out. Thanks!
I’m new to all this AV stuff , but luckily I have obtained a Marantz pre tuner AV8003 which doesn’t have Atmos, so does that mean if I have an AV which does have Atmos , (Onkyo Tx Nr686 ) can I link them together and still receive Atmos ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys 👍
So it has a new look and some updates over the prior model...but does it perform better or sound better than the one it is replacing???? If not,... for me not worth the upgrade. Maybe the Cinema 40 when it comes out will be better eg better DAC etc

No 7.1 analog input for DVD-Audio discs! Too bad, this is a definite step backwards from previous top models.

A question, you mentioned that you will not be able to use all 11 channels unless you hook up an external amp, why is that?
It’s common. This isn’t anything new. There are only 9 amplifiers in the box. It processes 11 channels
