Great video thanks! There's a bit more to the auto parking brake, it can actually be set to enable when the vehicle is in park and then ignition is switched off. From the manual:
■ Activating and deactivating the automatic parking brake feature
With the power mode is in ON, carry out the following steps to either activate or
deactivate the automatic parking brake feature.
1. Put the transmission into (P.
2. Without depressing the brake pedal, pull up and release the electric parking brake
switch.
u Check that the parking brake and brake system indicator (red) has come on.
3. Pull up and hold the electric parking brake switch. When you hear a beeping
sound, release the switch and within three seconds pull up and hold the switch
again.
4. When you hear a sound indicating that the procedure is completed, release the
switch.
u Two beeps indicates that the feature has been activated.
u One beep indicates that the feature has been deactivated.
u When you have completed activating the feature, the parking brake will
remain applied after you turn off the engine.
u To confirm that the parking brake is applied, check if the parking brake and
brake system indicator (red) is on

@@Myles720 which one? I got the 24 sport hatchback in rally red on Thursday. It has the cvt but I don’t mind so far. I really like the car. Let me know how you like it. I might put a single turbo on it if I can find others who’ve done it with the same trans with no problems.

I just bought one on Friday, thanks for the tips. Mine is a 6 speed manual, there is no auto start for it, unless you know something I don’t.
Do a sport touring with 6speed. And more info about park assist and the circle around the car button.

I want to say you go into vehicle settings, then keyless entry. From there you should have a list of options. I believe that is one of them to choose from.

Just got a 2024 civic to replace my totaled 2017 civic and some of these are super helpful! I didn’t know there was a setting to open all the doors with keyless access or have it auto lock! Will definitely be setting these up on mine. Had that brake hold feature though on my old one and it’s so nice!

What about idle stop? Is there a setting (to turn it off) so you don't have to press it each time you get in to drive?
How do u start car w the key if fob battery is low? I saw the door key entery is if u pull the handle out.

If the key fob battery is low. You can use the physical key fob to press the start button. That will usually allow the vehicle to start when the battery is low in the fob.
Any way to stop all the sensors going off when I go through a car wash. I see Hondas with the button Neutral have a car wash mode, what about this one?
Do you know if the 2018 Honda Pilot Touring can connect Apple Car Play?
All trim levels of the 2018 Honda pilot, with the exception of the LX base model have Apple car phone and Android Auto
Unfortunately most of the features for apple carplay are not available on the 2024 Civic Si. I just want to have the media closer and can’t do that. The custom actions would be nice too.

I learned two new things about my car, the gas release and brake hold. My Apple play doesn't have the same options as shown in the video. I have the 2024 Touring.

I’m watching this for my Honda Civic Integra spec
I need to figure out how to hook up 2 phones to my infotainment screen. On occasion my mom drives my car and I don’t know how to have her phone automatically connect when she’s. driving, then have mine auto connect when I’m driving. Mine is wireless….
I'm trying to see if I can do basic things like change wallpaper on a '24 EX. This screen seems to be from a different trim.
If you have the 9" infotainment screen with one knob on the Civic Touring Sedan or Sport Touring Hatchback, I believe you program most of the functions from the infotainment screen. All the other trims should be the same as the Sport trim that Justin demonstrates using the controls on the steering wheel and the settings display on the left side of the dashboard instrument panel.There will be some feature differences between the top trims with the 9" infotainment screen, and the 7" infotainment screen with the 2 knobs on the other trim levels models.
@@jjacob25101 I was messing with steering wheel menu last time I got in and couldn't find any screen options in the settings. I'm wondering if the non-touring Civics have the option.
@@geofffowler110 I think the early 10 Generation had more wallpaper options and customization from channels I used to watch and forgot what they were. I forgot where I saw a while back what can be done with the new ones, but yes, there may not be much of that on the other trims, maybe comment to Justin, he may know, since he has access to these cars. I plan to get a new HR-V Sport, which is essentially like a Civic Sport, but I don't have it yet.
The background can be changed when using apple carplay or Android auto. It cannot be changed outside of that. In older generations you had the ability to customize a lot more. They changed that a couple years back.

There is no radar cruise anymore, it’s all handled by a Bosch mpc3 camera that also does adaptive cruise control

How do you extend the run time on the remote start? 10 minutes just isn’t long enough on those really cold days
If you press the remote start sequence again, it will extend the time.

How do I have the dash board show my gas mileage?
Find and press the Home button on the lower left corner of your steering wheel. A list of menus will pop up on the dash. You may have to press the Home button more than once to dismiss other screens until a list of menus pops up. Use your thumb to scroll the wheel just to the right side of the home button. Keep scrolling until the Range and Fuel menu is highlighted. Press the scroll wheel down with your thumb to select it and you are done. It will show your average mileage and how many more miles you have left before empty.
What trim level is this ? I test drove a 2024 Civic Sport and there is no blind spot monitoring. The back up camera didn’t have all the security sensors that my 2020 Sentra SV does either. I want to trade my Sentra in, but I will lose some of the features that I use and love.
The EX and touring trim levels have blind spot monitoring.

@@marcknightly9677 Canada is better in so many ways ! I’m in the U.S. and did end up buying the Touring since making this comment. Also the Touring doesn’t have the black wheels that I like better either. But it’s a gorgeous car, fully loaded.

My civic was "get up and go", LOVED the car. Not feeling the same about this one. Test driving it was "okay" but I thought it would grow on me since I really enjoyed the civic I had. Unfortunately not the case, if I could return it I would 😕
Is there a way to permanently disable the stop and start "feature"? Having the car shut off at a traffic light is a fundamentally bad thing for a turbo charged engine.
You could check out Idlestopper. I've never used it, but I've seen It come up in a couple forums.
How is it bad? I had that feature on my 2018 Mercedes 300 C and also have it in my 2024 Sport Civic, yes you can turn it off in settings. I have a question also: if you use the key fob to turn on the car then you turn it off with the key fob as well. Will it leave the car unlocked since you press the unlock button then the circle button?
@@LilRyRy01 it’s bad. Brand new civic sport hatchback, I was at a light yesterday , when the car started back up it felt like I was rear ended and my motor shook. I’d recommend turning it off every start. It didn’t shut off the day prior when I got the car because it was too cold outside. But yesterday, I was scared.
I was told the brake hold can be used in traffic. And it will go and break. While you are in traffic. I’ve never tried it.
