I just did a blower motor on a Fisker Karma a few weeks ago... We were able to get a C6 Corvette blower motor for $150 at a local auto parts store, and it was a Continential that matched the original perfectly! I was able to get it replaced in about 1.5 hours of time upside down under the dash.... Enjoy!

I'm sure he will. He had a similar situation a couple years ago on BaT where they refunded him all the buyer fees. That was on the big wing Mopar Daytona.
There’s a company called Karma Automotive in Moreno Valley, California that bought all of the Fisker assets. They reassembled the assembly line and built the Karma Revero which was essentially the Fisker Karma with a new name. They updated some of the electronics and offered services to Fisker Karma owners to have software updated to eliminate the harsh lag on the touchscreen. I don’t know if they are still in business but they may be able to help with the lag issue. Also I was told that suspension was built to pass crash tests and was purposely built to be overkill because Henrik had government loans granted to him and had limited time to get the car built and he wanted to make sure it was beefed up so it would pass crash testing. Henrik was planning on eventually reducing the weight but the company went bankrupt before that happened. The company I work for sent me to the Karma plant in Moreno Valley to help get their assembly line up and running and I was able to drive one of those. It’s a weird car because it’s huge on the outside but very small on the inside.

Never buy new in Florida either. There is no state limit on dealer fees, most dealerships near me charge well over $1,000 just for the privilege of being ripped off by some arrogant d-bag salesman and finance guy.
Just FYI, this is not a "plug-in hybrid"! It is in fact a range extender EV, as in the gas engine is there to only provide electricity for the batteries. There is no classic gearbox or direct coupling between the engine and the wheels! It is in fact just an generator
I think it can use ICE motor for direct drive on front wheels together with generating electricity for the battery (like Honda hybrids),that's when it runs on "full power" of over 400 HP.
Speaking of Lada… The same factory that built the Fisker Karma in Finland also used to build Lada Samara cars for the European market. And that Lada also had a GM 4 cylinder engine in it. Old Russian Lada engines couldn’t pass European emissions limits, so they got a 1.5 liter fuel injected GM engines for the EuroSamara
A neighbor of mine had one of these. Every time he took it out it broke down. I don't know how many times I've seen him pulling out of the driveway, just to catch up with him stuck on the side of the road. That thing had more miles on the back of a truck than it did on the road.

Fisker, a good designer but absolutely never let him manage a company. He was hawking some "solid state" wonder battery to drive up the stock that was a complete scam as well.
It really is a beautiful car - did you notice the interior? That looked VERY modern for a twelve year old car. That Fisker dude really is a great designer.
No one will watch a DIY video in 5 years. Sure. No one will collect cars in 5 years. Bet on it. No one will have a reason to watch Hoovie, and all his subscribers will remember to unsubsribe. Right.
I have a b207 ecotec engine (very similar to yours), and one thing that is guaranteed to fail and cause an oil leak is the pcv valve. It is a check valve with a rubber flap in it which dries out over time, this causes high pressure in the crankcase which creates oil leaks. Just replaced mine, you need to remove the intake manifold which is a pain in the ass but no more oil leaks now and the engine runs better. If you find the valve cover gasket to be hard i can almost guarantee the pcv valve is also in need of replacing.
I had a Bosal exhaust on my 1995 M3. The original owner was Australian and brought the M3 here from Canada. I never did look into where Bosal came from or what happened to them. I did love that exhaust. There’s a video of me doing donuts in the m3 with it here on YT.
Fun fact… most of what you said is misinformation. Tesla lost that lawsuit when it went to arbitration as there was ”overwhelming” evidence to the contrary. I think Fisker likely designed a cooler looking model S, but probably thought it was cool enough for him to make money and quit.
@@alexanderstefanov6474 The car itself is successful, in that it's a viable proposition that can be used for it's intended purpose. It's a much better vehicle than a tesla, in every single way. I'd say the first mistake is buying a car that was made by a company that went under after the first model year, came back and then went bankrupt again.
To be fair, that car and company were a scam from day 1 and still going at it today. And the fisker guy somehow still running around scot-free raising more millions for his next money pit venture.

If you take a flat-blade screwdriver under the tab and pull it up briskly, the tab will auto-remove without posing any future problems with disconnection. In extreme cases, Aqua Seal can be used to protect plugs when reconnected -- they should come from the factory this way, but that's a premium upgrade.

You _might_ actually get tips and tricks on increasing the battery range from the Chevy Volt forums since the battery pack in these I think has similar lineage with the first Chevy Volt prototypes (Continental/A123 Systems). You might be able to rebalanced the cells with GM tools, or another way they do it with the Volt is put it on blocks and just let it roll in Drive while in EV mode (without applying the accelerator pedal so the gas engine never kicks in with 1 mile of range left) and just let it fall below minimum state of charge for a time (which I guess also balances the cells without a visit to a dealer). My Volt with 90K miles has experienced about 6% in range loss although I rarely discharge it completely.

No, but its a good reason to avoid BAT user "FLCarguy69"
I definitely think the guy is scum, but if you know anything about cars you should know what cars to avoid/are money pits. You have to assume cars like this are piles of crap
Bring A Turd
It’s called bring a TRAILER. I always assumed that meant all the cars are shit, don’t run, and you’ll need a trailer. It’s in the name lol
It's crazy how you got scammed by the fisker owner and better help all in one video.
😂👍
$1k for a $40 blower motor - woah!! Rockauto cross reference the P/N
Changing is the expensive part and not the part itself.😅
Oh snap its randy
Thank you hoovie for bringing down the resale values of used cars everywhere.... and rightly so
fiskar is a prime example of how difficult it is to start up a new brand these days. Bricklin had the same issues back in the day.
Plug the lead back in, maybe the issue is that it's unplugged.
Always try the obvious stuff first!!!
$100,000 car with 18k miles for $20k. No factory support, no dealer support. Gee, why would someone sell such a lovely car for $20, what could go wrong buying site unseen over the internet?
But we all watched the video, didn't we??
Hes not upset the car is broken, he is upset people lie and don't take responsibility for their issues. Maybe the owner didn't know it was broken. but they should have at least had a discussion with him after finding out.
@@snoopdogie187 Caveat Emptor - a $100k car for $20k. With low miles. Think about it.
As they say, Karma is a bitch. At 10:05 I love how Wizard keeps such a straight face as he shakes his head and says, "what a shame." You KNOW he's dying of laughter inside.
You know what they say, dont bite the hand that feeds ya
Wizard needs to fix this man brain?
He's not laughing inside or at all... he's got a heavy heart as far as this casual observer can tell. He's a good dude.. and like most doesn't want to see his friend being taken advantage of.. even he's a customer and thats how he makes a living.
Hoovie must have bank or making bank from this site.
My shop neighbor has the patent on the lower control arm bushings for the Karma. I do the alignments on everyone he does. He works on the Fiskers from all over the nation. Odds are he has inspected or worked on your car.
Well, they DID tell you to "Bring A Trailer!"
Scammed again, that’s strange. Car salesman are usually so honest.
I'm waiting for Rich Rebuilds to walk in.

I feel like "Never buy used from Florida" is a reasonable rule.
camgriffin5239 Or New Jersey.
Never buy new in Florida either. There is no state limit on dealer fees, most dealerships near me charge well over $1,000 just for the privilege of being ripped off by some arrogant d-bag salesman and finance guy.
20 grand? Should have paid no more than 5 grand.
I wouldn't pay $500 for this heap
@@alexanderstefanov6474 Good point.
It’s not worth more than its scrap value. $200-$300 tops.
Lost my grandmother 2 years ago i was 27 and she was 67 so young🥺 that pain doesnt fade im sorry for your loss hoovie
Just FYI, this is not a "plug-in hybrid"! It is in fact a range extender EV, as in the gas engine is there to only provide electricity for the batteries. There is no classic gearbox or direct coupling between the engine and the wheels! It is in fact just an generator
Literally 🤓
Like a diesel electric train?
Like the first gen Chevy Volt.
I think it can use ICE motor for direct drive on front wheels together with generating electricity for the battery (like Honda hybrids),that's when it runs on "full power" of over 400 HP.
Wizard must hear a cha- ching sound in his head every time Hovie pulls in.
He likely pays him a full time salary at this point considering he essentially a private mechanic at this point.
They also built the Porsche Boxster/Cayman
Good to see hoovies garage back to what it’s about. Less of the self indulgent expensive cars/house and back to proper interesting hoopties
A neighbor of mine had one of these. Every time he took it out it broke down. I don't know how many times I've seen him pulling out of the driveway, just to catch up with him stuck on the side of the road. That thing had more miles on the back of a truck than it did on the road.
If a car is for sale anywhere in Southern Florida, i automatically assume scam and move on. Cars in Chicago also seem to be iffy more than not but just my limited amateur experiences 🤷

Kinda seems like you should avoid “Bring a Trailer.”
Agreed. And customer no service sucks. Ask to speak to Jake.
It's in the name though
Can't trust Bring a Trailer anymore. Terrible. Never use that site again. I'm done.
The site isn't at fault. They had no way of knowing about the seller. The seller signed up in January 2024 only to sell this car. It is unlikely BAT will allow him to list anything else.
Always check the seller. Anyone who has just signed up for this listing needs to give excellent service or walk away.

I’m really sad that wizard will be retired in a few more years the future videos won’t be the same and that means his channel will be gone as well if he’s not a mechanic anymore. Love you David
he is not retiring for 40yrs, haha, if he's in demand he never really will, however, things will change, they may ban older gasoline run cars so people can't get around cheap.
Whatever they are doing to Biden, perhaps it will extend Wizard's working usefulness?
I remember when the Fisker Karma was new. A guy down the street had one. Thought it was the coolest car ever. I’d still buy one today
My words out loud would be “Oh no Hoovie I’m sorry you got scammed again!”. Wait what’s that internal voice? Hoovie should use his finances to put an LS in the Fisker? Yess yesssss, fantastic idea.
honestly despite this car being a flop? it's a lot less trashier than the CyberDump
TI agree, the GM engine can be fixed, the AC is a question mark due to a lack of spares, either than that
is not so bad
I mean, that's a pretty low bar, but I hard agree lol
Great grammar.
Previous owner must have been a smoker, judging by the burn marks on the driver side A-pillar.
It is still… at the very least sensationally gorgeous! Thanks for the video.
Yes, it makes a spectacular static display.
I really want to see this car fixed and sorted out, it is beautiful. We don't have too many cars built here in Finland, but this is definitely one of the most interesting ones.
Great that there is still an active community for these cars!

Also Fisker: "Lets make parts all over the planet and assemble it in another country, just like every other manufacturer."

The ugly electric truck showed you will buy anything, lol.
Fiskar is history, they filed for chap 11 bankruptcy last week. All assets have been frozen until liquidated.

Bring a Trailer is garbage now. They'll sell anything and wash their hands.
In what way could they verify sales?
Agreed. Overpriced garbage!
I’d never buy a car from a “representative”
What I don't like about plug in hybrids is the idea of plugging it in everyday. Seems exhausting.
BAT will get flooded with bad press and comments! Somebody out here knows the seller of this car and should OUT him! I’m tire of these scammers costing people thousands of dollars!😡
The Hoovie phenomenon is fading. I've learned from Hoovie that TH-cam stardom is like any other brand of popularity, it comes and it goes.
His content is garbage now
A quarter of a million watched in10 hours?? Like to see how you define success
No one will watch a DIY video in 5 years. Sure. No one will collect cars in 5 years. Bet on it. No one will have a reason to watch Hoovie, and all his subscribers will remember to unsubsribe. Right.
Being scammed is a way of life for Hoovie and his hoopties.
If he wasn't getting the Swanz he would not be Happy .
This can only end badly
Certainly not. He makes more money with vids about this pos than he paid for it. And promoting scammers BH in the process to make even more money.
You’d think being a trailer would help out with issues like this.
Like what?
Why would they be held responsible?
As would have.. bringing a trailer.
Fun fact. Henrik Fisker was employed by Tesla to design the Model S. He quit , took the design with him, and launched the Karma at Fisker Motors.
Fun fact… most of what you said is misinformation. Tesla lost that lawsuit when it went to arbitration as there was ”overwhelming” evidence to the contrary.
I think Fisker likely designed a cooler looking model S, but probably thought it was cool enough for him to make money and quit.
More likely Henrik Fisker quickly realised that Elon musk is a vacuous incompetent nincompoop, and went away to design a better product.
@@matthewgodwin3050your assessment of Musk is accurate, but Fisker has so far not designed anything successful, at least not for himself
@@alexanderstefanov6474 The car itself is successful, in that it's a viable proposition that can be used for it's intended purpose. It's a much better vehicle than a tesla, in every single way. On the exhaust. Bosal was a South African exhaust manufacturer. Not 100% sure but, I believe they have gone out of business as well.
Fisker was a total scam from the showroom floor
I'd say the first mistake is buying a car that was made by a company that went under after the first model year, came back and then went bankrupt again.
Seriously. Its hard enough getting good parts for mass production autos.
To be fair, that car and company were a scam from day 1 and still going at it today. And the fisker guy somehow still running around scot-free raising more millions for his next money pit venture.
Never forget, it's called "Bring a trailer" for a reason xD.
That is a cool design and it does look like new. Sorry about the expensive repairs. My Dad was a Tote the Note dealer in the early 1960's. Just be grateful there is no sawdust in the rear end.
