thanks for putting the comparison to the other vehicles in your video!
Man... I love the energy you bring to your content. Your videos keep it exciting. Keep it up! Subscribed!
Best to the point and detailed overview Civic breakdown. Nice job 👍
Much appreciated!
Nice comprehensive vid on the civic lineup. Many reviewers don't mention head/legroom dimensions which I appreciate you doing. The interior specs nobody ever mentions are hip and shoulder room. All in all great review.
LOL..."Hated mirrors". When talking about the trim differences. Enjoyed the video.
Good video, was surprised to see so little views. Definitely deserve more, subscribed
the trim breakdown losses is just great. thanks man
Good comparisons 👍
Great Review :) Thank you :)
Great info..thanks!!
Terrific review in every respect.
As someone who was making the switch to Honda from Kia - thank you for making this video!!
I don't know what you sell now if anything. But I want you to understand. I have been wanting to know about that Bose for almost two years. Thank you!
I bought the 23 civic sport. Love it. Will be buying foreign from now on. The executives do not own stock in the company and you can really see the difference in the products. I drove FORDs my whole life. The American STOCK shares owning executives care about stock instead of customers.
Nice vehicle inside and out. Why is Honda eliminating the engine temperature gauge in the instrument cluster on many of its models? Come on Honda, that's pretty cheap.
I agree especially when all of their competitors have the temperature gauge
Probably the worst thing about the Honda Civic, other than the auto start/stop. Traditionally, a base trim would have things like this deleted or omitted. But usually would be in the Sport or equivalent trim and up. I think only the Touring and Sport Touring Hatchback with the full digital instrument panel has the temperature gauge.
I have the 2023 Honda Hrv Sport and it is a much better vehicle despite fuel economy because the 2023 Honda Hrv offers Blind Spot Monitoring, and Heated front seats and a comfortable height, and much more cargo space unlike the Civic.
@@shawnfahey7243 That's why I like it over the Civic Sport Hatchback. Both are nice, but it fits my needs and wants more. The balance of cost and equipment is expected to be reasonable to me. Adding other things to one or a few may not seem like much, but it's a big cost for Honda for the full production of vehicles. The same for many other manufacturers. There's a whole much of aftermarket things I already have a list of to tweak it to my liking. I live in Honolulu, HI and would rarely drive to the outer parts of the island where even that is comparatively much shorter distances than where many other people do their daily commutes in locations elsewhere.
The lack of a temperature gauge is very annoying and when I get tax returns I'll probably look into adding one. It's wild that my 2003 LX has a temp gauge and all my brand new Civic Sport has is a temp light that tells you when the engine is cold, and presumably when it's too hot (after it's too late to do anything about it)
Just bought the sports model, thanks for the help.
It’s the HATED MIRRORS for me 😤😂. @5:30 Great review!
It’s funny because I recently financed a 24 Honda Civic LX for my partner and I am an anti Honda guy but my god its so simplistic… makes me want one.
22 sport sedan owner. Of 3 years and now 50k miles. love it. I would suggest though to anyone who wants to buy a new civic buy the sport touring hatchback. You will own that car for decades with no regrets.
I can’t stand hatchbacks. It Has to be a sedan.
I’m about to finance one pretty soon for my first car. Super stoked. My friend has a 20 and that thing was pretty nice still. I’m super excited
@@robintaylor485 the front end of the civic hatchback looks better than the sedan grill
I bought a 24 civic sport 2.0 cvt sedan hoping to own it for decades
@@robintaylor485 thats how all peasant stock feel
Would have loved to see your opinion between a sedan vs hatchback…
Rare to see vids about the 2L K20s especially the manual lol It's always the faulty 1.5T. I'll look into adding a temp gauge on mine as well
Did you say that the EX and Touring engine has 880 horsepower? 😅
The civic is roomier interiorly and exteriorly. I got the 2.0 litter engine without turbo. I love mine
So go with the Si or the Ex then right
How to turn on fog lights ??
I get 32mpg in my sport and 31.8 when i drive it normal or sport mode
I have the 22 Civic Sport Sedan. I am considering trading it in for an EX. I like the sunroof. But I like the Sport model wheels and exhaust tip. Not sure what to decide.... They both are good.
Nice I own the sport but nextime I will definitely ask my sales person to teach me about the car and comparisons to other models there are some dislikes with mine but it's meeting my expectations some features are a little overkill appreciate the safety factor in some of then but some are things I'd rather do without for example the auto start lane departure etc. Don't mind them you can torn then off however it defaults back so as far as I know you have to reselect those options everything you start the vehicle ...
Not sure why they put in the 2.0L NA on a Sport trim. I drive a 2021 Civic Sport with the 1.5T and there is a noticeable difference on the fun factor everytime you step on the gas. 2.0L still has the Vtec, proven reliabiliy though and is probably less strained since it is a bigger engine producing less power.
Bought the 24’ sport best decision i made
Me too, lovin it! 1,200 miles and 34.6 mph so far.. it rides so nice
Do you know if any of the standard 2025 civic trims will be getting any design/tech changes or is it just the hybrid trims?
at 16:43 he claims 158 hp turbo which is incorrect; it’s naturally aspirated. the Sport Touring is turbo at 180 hp.
Where is the Honda Civic Hatchback Review?
I have a 2023 hatchback civic sport
Are you driving a car or playing on your iPad? Ithanks for the review.
hi mom!
the 2.0 base engine is non-turbo right?
Correct
Well crap. I didn’t do my research and thought the SI only had the turbo engine. The dealership tried to get a $5K “premium “. I didn’t pay that but what makes the Si so popular? Is it the suspension? Cosmetic stuff?
Any good mods for the 2.0L engine that would crank up the power?
I barely get 20mpg on my 2.0 😂 but tbf i live in honolulu and stop and go is bad so basically city driving and i like to idle alot 😅
I switched from a 2013 Subaru Impreza to an EX-L, so that screen is practically Star Trek tech compared to the ass 1990's head unit they put in the Subaru. I have five issues: 1. The Auto Idle is god awful. Why do they do this to us.
2. The steering wheel is too reflective and catches afternoon sunlight.
3. The OEM Continentals cannot handle 50% throttle 180hp on hot dry pavement and it's sad. I switched from AWD and RWD cars for the first time so I'm still getting used to FWD.
4. No lumbar adjustments
5. One USB slot in the entire car at the second highest trim level.
Any 2024 Civic Si spec comparison stats?
aint nobody want to be wasting money to fill up with a 92 octane gas on the Si. hell no
Just subscribed. The best Civic model breakdown out there!
3 things I would like to ask:
1. Does Honda, for ALL the 1.5 Turbos, recommend premium 91-93 octane?
2. If only the Si need 93 Octane, would the EX and Touring get more HP by using 93?
3. Assuming Honda brings the European version of the Civic hybrid this fall as a 2025 model, with a 2.0 181-184 HP, and 237-243 Torque, would you recommend waiting till they come out before buying an ICE Civic? They are reporting getting 50-70 mpg depending on driving habits.
There is a rumor that Honda will put the 2.0 Accord hybrid set up in the Civic and boost the Accord to 225-232 HP next year.
1. You can put regular unleaded gas in the standard Civic with the 1.5 l turbo.
2. I don't know that changing the octane of gas will really affect the horsepower in the regular Civic.
3. I am very curious to see you. What happens with the Civic hybrid. I would love to see something with power get put into it. But that's not typically what Honda does...lol
Low profile tires are a nightmare for bad roads. This is a huge miss for honda and hopefully this will change. Two sports owners in my condo had their tires destroyed and cars towed because of Low profile tires.
does anybody know if the 9 inch infotainment from the si and touring fit into the sport trim?
What is wrong with the 7”?
@@natas12rm nothing i just like the look of the 9 inch and that the bigger screen allows for better bigger carplay because i have really bad vision lol
It will not, I wanted to do that also
@@natas12rm the 9” has wireless apple carplay and android auto
@@chrisdesimone4249 hey chris could you tell me what didn’t fit or why it didn’t work
Dealer near me wants 36k before taxes for a manual sport.i was “told” they come that way. That’s like going to the drive thru to order just a burger and forced to buy a combo meal. Ridiculous!
Just noticing more features they skimp on. The 60/40 seat, no blind spot, small infotainment, weak back up camera, no cup holder in the back. Im looking into buying one, but I have a Sentra SV with all the features I need. But the Sentra is a POS
Also no rear vents or rear USB ports (unless you get the $34k touring trim)
The front end on the hatchback Civic looks a little better than the sedan. Red colored cars are gross unless its a Ferrari.
No more fog lights! Still no blind spot monitors or rear cross traffic alerts…. wtf Honda, keep raising the price but taking options away or not keeping up with the competitors… Still like the 2021 better…. Big time steering rack issues with the 24… causing accidents etc.. updated racks have been on back order for 6 months. Avoid the 24 civics.
No vegan leather or a bigger screen, one things I hate about Honda and
Toyota
The city rating is a lie. The average mpg is a lie. Still love the car though. Glad I got one instead of something like the 3 cylinder trax
Do u have the sport ? Mine avg 25
@@josephramirez7542 yes I have the sport hatchback. And yes I’m getting 25 mpg average too.
@@josephramirez7542I have the new sport and I just go to work (no highway) I’m barely getting 23 mpg. It literally won’t go higher than 23 mpg. I be driving normally too.
I've typically been getting 33ish on my EX. Seems to get better mileage the more that you drive it.
@@thatrandomgamedeveloper8979 maybe because I do a lot more street than high way mine seems to get lower the more I drive it 😅my avg is lucky to hit 25 but I drive on eco and not really gassing it
This isnt the ex version..... this is the sport civic.
WHATEVER No wireless carplay , No tpms
Damn how the hell do they only get 158 Hp out of a modern 2.0 lol.
I said the same damn thing I wish I kept my 07 Acura TSX with the k24 6speed manual
It's 2024 why are any car companies making sub 200hp cars?
Emissions and MPG. This car has the potential of 200 plus with a downpipe and a tune.
@@juannevindez6969 fuq the tyrant epa
@@juannevindez6969 no it does not! hahaha
Honda has stripped so many features and keeps the terrible CVT.
Most all cars have changed over to CVT
@@srobeck77 incorrect - see mazda 3 for example
@@roundabout1419 its the only one. An outlier, doesnt make it the norm at all
@@srobeck77 What about the VW Jetta? Surely the world's largest car manufacturer can't be considered an "outlier" as well ...🙄
Honestly I love the Sport and the 2.0. Port injection is a huge win, and it’s much more reliable overall. Capable of 200+ hp with a tune if you want. The 1.5s aren’t fast either, and I don’t think spending extra for them is worth it unless you move up to a Type R (Si being only a sedan is unfortunate but makes sense since they’re pushing you to the more expensive Sport Touring). That being said, everyone has their own needs and wants, but the Sport fit the bill for me.
THANK YOU
a tune will NOT get you 200hp....
Nothing sporty about this trim besides the looks. The touring is plenty sporty
The wireless CarPlay takes away from quality of sound imo
Then spend a little money and get aftermarket
Subscribet !!! :)
Ex Honda salesman? Oh yeah i remember you now. What happened?
880 HP...😂
Don't be cheap. Get a 1.5T car or better.
Well said
Ride is horid. Maybd they left the spring blocks in. Hate it. Useless review. No drivability
You can’t even afford one anyway so what do you care all you did was test drive you lied to him about buying one
