Yes, very underrated. The build quality is really good. Metal diffs even on the basic one (well mine did anyway). Not quite as fast as the WLtoys, but I think they are more manageable with the 380 motor.
Tomley RC Garage we had one of those too lmao, I was as keen on that, turning the wheels even slightly it would roll and you’d be chasing it nonstop to put it back on it’s wheels🤣
The 12428 was my first ever review :)...still got it, although it does 70km/h+ now

Want to buy one of these bad boys, but as a total noob, before I do I have some questions:
1. Aliexpress and Banggood appear to have slight variances in the brushless. Is the Aliexpress superior with the blue components?
2. I'd like to purchase any 'essential spares' at the time of purchase. A definite spare is a spare battery. Can anyone advise or link to the right 3s, and/or any other 'must buys'?

Waterproof?
So i've seen there are many different versions of this car down to the wl toys brushed version. people with the burshed version are running 3s batteries with a low C value. Is that still doable on the brushless version with the different ESC or are you forced into sticking to 2s with a normal or high C value? 3S low C brushed is perhaps faster than 2s high C brushless in this car?

Lol I have this i let my little girl use it I put a bunch of wltoys 12482 or whatever it is aluminum parts on it it's cool you can put aluminum aarms metal drive line metal axles aluminum shocks it's also interchangeable with the virhuck version .

Did you find your cars wheels hard to turn and the diff's so stiff it was like they were bound tight? my car is like that! not sure it should be like that. my wltoy version was smooth turning
