I just imagine them shining their armor more and more to prove who has the shiniest gleam.
Love the good sportsmanship and relaxed spirit of the players, love that you've gone in a different direction than the flat out competitive 40k style, without loosing good combos and interesting lists! But man oh man... The production value of the TableTopTactics batreps are just leagues in front of all the other 40k batrep TH-camrs out there!! Keep up the good work, TTT!

So, I am brand new to 40K, and am preparing to learn to paint and build my first army. These two factions are the ones that interest me most, and seeing this video is what really got me to give it a try. The Necron army in particular is helping inform my first list. So, thanks for making this, and I look forward to seeing more of your videos and learning more about how to play!
I just got into it too, I've got the basics down and a half painted army of Custodes. my roommate has like a 3000 point Necron army. I love custodes

Absolutely loving that Necrons list. Been wanting to start playing them, and this seems like a pretty good starting point
This was a fun one! Chef and Stig made for a great match up with these armies. Sometimes the table feels very cluttered with all the terrain, scenery and scatter. Just a thought :)
I also hate everything: I wish I could "re-roll 1s" in my life too... But I loved this batrep!

Made it to the end, was called out to share some love. The game was amazing, maelstrom is incredibly fun to watch, really keeps me on the edge

Great game, lovely to see the necrons get an outing. As a crons player i am in the minority here but i fully agree with Chef when it cones to reanimation of multi-wound models. It's fine as it is
It’s a good book in itself, just too random on their anti tank and other books much stronger!

Great video. Good to see Necrons play without warriors. They played strong.
Question to Chef though. More of an idea for Necron Reanimation.
What do you think if Necrons were allowed to reanimate in the command phase at -1 to RP i.e. 6+. Do you think they would benefit at all and would it be too powerful? I can see in that game as it went on that the Skorpekhs and Wraiths may have been able to reanimate a few models in the later game. Not that needed to but for fluff and the overlooking possibility that stuff can still regenerate does this add flavour and power to the Necrons? I'd love if this were a rule but would like to hear your thoughts. Obviously there are synergies to be had with canoptek reanimators as well.
So, who's tougher: Custodes or Necrons? Time to find out!

lol, my Custodes are rockin 1 CP starting, I spend too many making the heroes cool, sinking 3 into the Blade Champion alone. Love it!

I am still new to learning the game, so I apologize if this is obvious. Was the choice to use protocol of the undying legions turn one just to get it out of the way, or are custodes generally pretty dangerous turn one? I usually see people using other command protocols turn one.
I'd like RP on multiwound models more if Necrons had a strat to give +1 to RP rolls.
Man, I wish the Blade Champion was good. Poor guy has no support and is such a cool model and concept, but he just dies before he can do anything.
I've at least managed to make him work in Crusade, once.
Side note; shooting heavy weapons in combat has no penalty for EI, the grav attack would still hit on 2s against the wraiths, not that it would do much.

Would someone be able to explain how Chef's decision to remove 2 wraiths meant that one Custode couldn't fight back? Is it only charging units that can still fight if models are removed from engagement range? Thanks :)
That is correct! If the unit you are fighting did not Charge, they can only Pile In if they are in Engagement Range when selected.
The shooting equivalent to transhuman physiology is transhuman escapology.
How did you paint your custodes? I have a regular gold and black cloth army, better looking than mine
I have the dread host scheme on my guys too, I have a pretty good idea on how to paint the white scheme, but tabletop tactics hasn't said themselves, I think Seige painted them for the TTT channel

Yes and no! There are still strong lists but they are very much skewed towards lots of FW Dreadnoughts right now!

As much as I like the look of the Pallas I really don't find it worth the points in 40k. Still a lovely paint job on them!

Crons are fun but they are 1 of the weakest factions vs Custs which are top 5 faction in tournaments.
This was definitely not a tournament Custodes list so you’re ok! 😂👍🏻
