Well, since you asked. I thought I should tell you that I have been watching TTT for years. Since the days when Beard was just a rare part timer and the colonel used to put on guard lists. The spider was in every batrep and "plants" weren't even a thing. Ithink you had about 10K subscribers back in those days. To this day I have never played a game of 40k. Not once. But something about watching a great group of funny/friendly people playing a boardgame is really relaxing. I'm sure your content helps a lot of others after a long day as well. All the best for the next 5 years TTT!
Amazing GK list. As a fellow knight of Titan, I love this kind of more varied list than spamming Interceptors and DK. And James, you're a CHAD for bringing a mighty Land Raider! That's classic GK style, you only needed a Ven Dread to touch true GK heaven.

I find it amusing that there's so much contempt for the 'nids in these comments. Katie would be playing them regardless of their current stats, and has been touting them as her favorite faction since she joined the team. Aim your contempt squarely at GW, who continues to dangle the ever elusive carrot of OP-ness before the ever eager spenders in the 40k community.

I think I still have a few of the metal terminators with the force halberds from back then tucked away somewhere. Actually there's likely to be a herd of unpainted genestealers from the original space hulk sets down in those depths too. Yeeeeeeeeeees. . . some historical holes are probably best left unplumbed. The editing of these videos always gets a laugh out of me. I have yet to start playing 40k(Outside of Legos and Army dudes a decade ago), but you lads and lasses make me really want to convince my friends into trying out the game, or find another group to play with.

This is lore wise the worst matchup for the grey knights as the tyranid shadow in the warp supress all their pssychic powers and now they are just marines but half as many. A starter dish if you will
GK actually should be a nightmare for psychic tyranids as they can reliably block powers and mow down horde infantry quite well. Speaks for the crooked-ness of the bug codex that GK struggle that much
I love this channel just because I think near every time I see Grey Knights they have something like a Stormraven or Landraider. I know they aren’t the single most competitive, but look at them, they are cool! Though now that I am watching I am liking high psychic nids too

Jinx’s ‘Transhuman’ attempts, sound like what a Tyranid, trying to infiltrate humanity, and trying to blend in, but failing, would sound like……. Hmmmm Maybe she’s part of the cult?
Remember that the parasite infects on a successful wound, NOT when successfully damaging with the tail. Even if they make the armor save they should take the 1 mortal wound and be infected i believe
Great game! I wish we could legitimately have a Chef servo skull around for every game. His encyclopedic knowledge of the rules is invaluable when dice are flying and mistakes happen.
I love the Grey Knight Purifiers and Paladins too! Especially Garran Crowe. The Purifiers and Paladins are gonna be my first army I use when I play Warhammer 40K. Edit: I'm having a fantastic day so far.😁

Throwing this in before I watch. From the games I've played since armour of contempt came out with my Orks, it makes me hurt. With how many factions it applies to it makes the only benefit of taking choppa boyz over shoota Boyz the extra attack. An extra attack which won't do much at 0 ap against a 2 or 3+ save
SM's needed AoC. Way too many armies able to mow down Primaris like they had on tshirts. The orks were unfortunate victims but as a whole across the game it improved balance. Weight of attacks still hurt. If any army can drown Marines under weight of attacks in melee it's orks. From 2nd edition until 8th edition Marines took effort to kill. That's how it should be. And I say this as a non-Marine player. I do play Sisters but Marines have benefited more than Sisters from AoC since army wide we have an inv against the weapons good at killing Marines. If you force enough saves lots of Marines will die. Give the nob a powerklaw and he's probably killing 2 primaris by himself.

I HATE Armor of contempt, the armies ist punishes most are the armies that needed help themselves. Its too broad, needs to be core only, or infantry only or something
Jinx i wanted to let you know my first army is the tyranids also. I am still learning how to play and get the models together. I hope when i learn how to play i can make the bugs and you proud of me.
I do like the Purifiers a lot and am trying to work more of them into my current list. I love playing the Landraiders too but even I have to admit they might not be as worth it as I want them to be. Lol. Fun army to play but a tough matchup. Stings playing into Nids right now who can do as much damage in their psychic phase as Grey Knights can do in their entire shooting phase. Lol. Good fun to watch either way!
Land Raiders are one of those models I have to bring if it fits the chapter. Grey Knights? Legendary. Salamanders? Naturally. Black Templars? FOR THE EMPEROR!

GKs have all the tools to beat Tyranids. Not with this list though. At some point, Tyranids are going to need a challenge on this channel. All the Nids BR recently have been cakewalks. Just some feedback, love the channel.

I'm thinking of returning to 40k again from the time I quit during 5th edition, I see a lot of new stuff especially those cards in front the players... What are those?
They are playing Tempest of War. It's a variant where the secondary objectives change turn by turn so you can't build ultra optimised armies around secondary objectives. It means you get more variation of army lists because they need to be able to adapt to changing conditions which can't be predicted. The cards you see are the method of generating which secondaries are in play :) (there may be other cards too but they're probably memory aides, like unit stat blocks and the like) This is opposed to the more typical GT missions where the players select their own secondaries. The TT team find that Tempest is a lot more fun to play and I totally see why.
Nids could do with a big tone down, but we wanted to see if the GK could stand up to them. On paper AoC and their 5+++ would help. But then it's James and dice rolling 😅

I have some of the OG grey knight terminators too. I have wondered if they are worth anything, I couldn’t find them on Ebay or anywhere to price them.

This is opposed to the more typical GT missions where the players select their own secondaries.
The TT team find that Tempest is a lot more fun to play and I totally see why.

Nids could do with a big tone down, but we wanted to see if the GK could stand up to them. On paper AoC and their 5+++ would help. But then it's James and dice rolling 😅
