    FINALLY the 1299 Panigale Mods are complete! I still plan on adding a DucaBike clear clutch cover and some additional carbon fiber parts, but other than those items, the bike is perfect. Let me know what you guys think in the comments section below!

      Ze Gecko! Thanks to Jaret Campisi's 1299 build series, I was able to do most of the mods myself and save a ton on money on labor costs at the Ducati dealer. Nice hearing from you man! :)

    Thats probably the nicest looking 1299 I saw on youtube. Congrats man! I have the Ducati Supersport S and the heat on that is quite unbearable as well (exhaust routing under seat). Otherwise I love that bike.

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hahaha! Great point my friend. It does suck riding in Tampa, however about 45 min north, there are awesome country roads with pretty decent twisties.

  • @SpeedDemon82
    @SpeedDemon82 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think your bike is great. what is the quality of the front turn signals? are they easy to assemble? Or just plug and Play? I ask because the delivery to europe costs 50 Dollars

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The front turn signals are very high quality and more solidly built than I thought they would be. They are plug and play and takes about 5-10 min to install both. I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed!

    I’m currently deciding between a Kawasaki ZX-10R SE, BMW S1000RR HP4, and Ducati Panigale 1299 S. I’m leaning toward the 1299, but every video I see talks about the heat the bike produces. With the modifications that you’ve done to your bike (heat shield, subframe cover etc.) on a scale 1-10 (10 being the worst) how hot was the bike before the mods and after the mods?

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry for getting back to you so late Cameron. I've been super busy the last couple of weeks! It's funny you mentioned the HP4. I was actually looking at them this morning on cycletrader, lol. I miss my 2014 S1K and I have always loved the HP4 color scheme. As far as rating the heat of the Panigale before and after the mods...Before I would give it a 9. After the mods, I'd give it a 6 to 7. It depends on the weather and time of year. The summers here in Florida are brutal and I never wanted to ride during the day. I actually can enjoy riding in the winter. The 1299 is sexy, but if you can find an amazing deal on an HP4, I'd probably lean towards the Beemer. Good luck!

    The Ducati charger isn't that great...mine wont ever show fully charged. You can use a battery tender and order the same plug that Ducati uses through the tail..

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So far, so good on my Ducati charger. If it ever acts up, I plan on purchasing the battery tender since I already own it for my CBR. Cheers!

  • @me2ontube
    @me2ontube 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    do the heat shields make it bearable or just slightly better

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly I would say a little more than slightly better. I do wear armored Dainese Mesh Pants now (that helps alot) and I'm also used to the heat. I like to think about the pure speed and euphoria I get when riding this bike to forget the heat! lol

  • @kimandrb
    @kimandrb 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Only slips-ons? Since it has the original heatshield?

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good eye! Yes, my bike only has the "slip on" or main exhaust underneath. It doesn't have the "upper" manifolds. The previous owner bought the slip-on and had it installed (almost $4500 with labor). Not really sure why he just didn't get the full exhaust system. I plan on getting the upper manifold installed in the near future. It will probably cost around $2k.

    • @kimandrb
      @kimandrb 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have it orderd to mine 1299 s, getting it mounted in march with the up-map.
      Akra Heatshield is looking great and saves you alot of weight. Also have the Rizoma reservoirs installed at the same time. :)

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sounds amazing brother! That Akra heatshield is pretty in carbon fiber! I'm also thinking of getting the Rizoma reservoirs later this year for mine. Let em know when your exhaust is installed and wether having the full exhaust makes a difference!

    • @TheDucatiPilot
      @TheDucatiPilot  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is also a good option and I agree it would stand out, however I will probably go black, black, red, only because I already bought the other red accents and screws throughout the bike. Appreciate the feedback! :)

      @@TheDucatiPilot Haha you're funny... I didn't realize I need to kiss your ass because you have a TH-cam channel. You asked in the beginning of the vid for feedback. That's my feed back... Pretty simple really. Apparently you only want feedback if its positive. Also the red anodized parts look cheezy. On a red bike stick with clear or black. I would however do a red pressure plate retainer with black plate and black housing, but thats it. Less is more with these bikes. Its not a 97 GSXR.

      Thanks for the feedback. I was actually just messing with ya in the last response (hence the wink face). So the windscreen was installed by the previous owner. I planned on getting a light tint one (that's clearer towards the top, so I can ride the bike at the track). The red parts actually look decent in person. Thanks for the feedback on the clutch cover. I'm thinking of just going with the black outer cover with just a red retainer, leaving it "bronze" and natural between the 2 parts. Like you said, less is more. Cheers.
