I installed a Monster Ram on my 2014. I also tow a 16,000 pound 5th wheel trailer. Believe it or not I’ve gained 10mph on 2 long 4% to 6% grade ascents out here in Arizona. On one grade I'd only get 35mph and now it's pulling 45mph. The other grade I'd only get 45mph and now after installing the Monster Ram I'm getting 55mph. It works best when towing. It doesn't feel like it's any faster on a drag race but towing heavy loads is where it performs the best. I still get between 20 and 23mpg on the highway not towing. When towing it's still about the same mileage between 9 and 11mpg. I’ve got 220,000 miles on my 2014. I’ve been also using Amsoil now for 8 years. That makes a difference too. Next I'm installing the Banks intercooler and piping.
I have a 21 and just installed the monster ram and the boost tubes and air filter, all from Banks. Have you thrown any codes since installing the monster ram? I have gotten the EGR overflow code P0402. Banks is aware of the codes these trucks are getting after installing their product. I was just genuinely curious. I love the performance from them and will just continue to clear the codes until they have a fix.
I have the same code on my 23 Cummins. It comes from the air filter. They haven’t done anything about. You can buy a cheap code reader out of a parts store and turn it off. My only comes on when towing.
As of today Banks still has no update to fix the code(s) issues with all the products that surround this engine… just had to remove my cold air intake and put stock back on cause ram has released another update that banks has to catch up with 😡 so everyone involved is frustrated
I did that ram horn on my 2019. Boost tubes and cold air. It Clogs my dpf into regen mode constantly. Have u had any issues with ur dpf and check engine lights? My diesel mechanic said it’s the dpf can I need to delete it but I don’t want to. Any input would help.
@@jasonboekholt389 I’ve had no issues at all. Sounds more like you have had bad def that’s caused the issue. A delete is illegal according to the epa but they don’t make law. As far as I know it’s not illegal to remove them as the law stands but you take your chances.
If I understood the paperwork I got no it does not void the warranty because you’re using all of the factory stuff minus the grid heater which they are even not using anymore. They’ve changed the design.
i have p2069 code so im going to replace the stock heater with banks. only concern is how did you get/torque the famous 6th bolt? I heard it extremely hard. how did you manage it? thanks!
Biggest thing you could have done is got rid of all that shit on top of intake horn. You are going to have problems down the road. I hope you have deep pockets, because you are going to need them. I truly hope it works out for you.

I have had no codes with every single update I’ve made to my Dodge. I’ve thought about doing a sound test/start up video.
They were aware of that problem 2 years ago and they still haven't fixed it...

Long Allen head key comes with the kit, it fits right in a socket and you can torque to spec

I have contemplated it just not sure I want to have my vehicle confiscated by the EPA and/or government if I get caught running without it.
It's amazing that people get over 200k with just doing maintenance on these trucks with all of the emissions systems...
