- Join me as I take a look at the most expensive game I own for each of the consoles I collect for, and compare them to the most expensive games listed at CEX.

From what I read, it's not much of a game either, so it must be rarity value. I played it on Vita for a short while, and it seemed like a poor excuse for a persona game. I'm not sure if the ps4 version differs, though, but it wasn't a game that hooked me in

Certainly a few surprises there, I tend to only be concerned with the rising crazy prices for games im still chasing...I don't really think of the value of what I already have as 90% will never be leaving my collection. You have me intrigued now, I will have to have a look at my collection now!

I also have a sealed copy of Silent Hill Downpour on the Xbox 360 that I bought when it was released, because you got a nice t-shirt for preordering, and I planned on playing it one day...that day is still yet to come lol! Good video my dude! One of my most expensive games is Ghost in the Shell on PS1. At the moment its coming up at £130 but I've seen it £200 on the site. I paid probably a £10 in a pawn shop in the early 00's, never thought in my life it would jump that much. It's a really fun game, I only bought because I played it on a demo disc back in the day.

Was an interesting video. The other half looked worried that I was able to predict the most expensive games you were going to mention in cex before you said them.
There are definitely some games on the PS4 that make the ones listed on cex seem like pocket change.
I'm lucky enough to own quite a few of these mentioned, but not only do I own My Horse and Me 2... I've completed it 100%

😅 I'd be more suprised if you didn't know Ross, yeah I think that's a sign if the times with modern systems, there are sovmany low print run games that CEX don't have them all entered on database, although I have seen them request prices on games before that aren't currently on their system. I’m lucky to have the special Verbatim edition of Rule of Rose for the PS2. With a lot of help from family and the community, I finally managed to get this in my collection. One of my greatest achievements.

Nice video, I enjoyed that. Hagane is class, I picked up a copy in Japan back in the mid nineties, I still have it. Though I wish I had the foresight to hunt down a Pal copy as well haha.

I too have regrets that I only picked up a single copy of Finding Teddy 2 and the Shmup collection when they were released, but at least I have a copy of them!
I like how you did these by console. It would be easy enough to just go all CIB SNES but this is far more entertaining by contrasting it against the most expensive on CEX. I swear I can't guess half of these most of the time. Don't ask me to do the math on that. I want Finding Teddy II simply because of well, my puppy Teddy.
Surprising Lonely Mountain Downhill looks pretty cool. I generally don't love racing games but I really like the art style.

Honestly no, I have more than enough games to play, and the ones I don't own that I'd like to play I hope to add copies of in the future. I have nothing against emulation though, completely get it

Most expensive game I have in my collection is 3D Dot Game Heroes on PS3. Now sold at CeX for 65, I got it for £2 from a charity shop about 4 years ago

I made the stupid mistake of getting rid of most of my collection when younger and more stupid ( for nothing as well) but now I'm older, I really want to concentrate on rebuilding a collection! Starting from very little but what would be your best tips in general going forward? I watched the charity shop vid and loved the tips on there! Top videos btw mate and look forward to watching future ones and the backlog!

Interesting video mate, think my most expensive game is Alien vs Predator for the Jaguar, managed to get the game and the Jaguar console off Facebook Marketplace for £30.
Then it would be My Horse and Me 2 on the Xbox 360. Payed £2 for that from a charity shop and bought a manual for it off Ebay for £14.

Great question... I actually filmed ps1 and cut it.... I dont own many ps1 games and CEX ate terrible at having ps1 games listed on their system. My most expensive would probably be Wu Tang... but they don't even stock it therfore no price to compare. Thanks for watching man 👊🏻
Cool to see that you have a copy of Hagane, is it worth its asking price? I'm not sure too sure but it is a cracking game I must say.
Well make use of the link I sent you if you want a cheap copy of Sayuki on the might Switch. In fact as you're on a shooter kick Strictly have a few on shooters on there store that are still available, and as you like Hagane then you may like Cannon Dancer- Osman. Its an OG arcade game seen as the spiritual successor to Strider that's only just had a home port via SLG.

With Need For Speed- Most Wanted I have noticed when looking at my PS2 games that there are a few games like King Kong and The Simpsons Game where if it was on multiple platforms, the PS2 is much cheaper that the 360. Normally games on older platforms are more expensive but the PS2 was so popular I guess they still sold well enough. My most expensive game is RoboCop 3 on the Mega Drive but I will probably trade in at CEX if something desirable catches my eye as it it is a poor game and trades for over double I paid a few years ago. After that it is Battletoads on the Mega Drive

It's worth noting that Legend of Saiyuki is getting a re-release on Switch. A physical is up for preorder at SLG.
No other port of Punisher besides Megadrive I'm sorry to say. Would have been awesome on the Saturn.

@@RetroGhetto Yeah I've got Punisher. It's good. Could of been better but it's fun. Definitely not worth the going rate for it. For that kind of money you may as well get a high end emulation rig and get arcade punisher and thousands of other games.

Last year, I bought Most Wanted for £24 and My Horse and Me 2 for £45. That's mad how much they have increased. Glad I am only buying games I am playing, My Horse and Me 2 is very easy achievements, so it gets bought. Yet to play it but I plan to. I only want to have games on my shelf that are on my gamertag rather than a full set.
What's your thoughts on valuing games? CEX is a roulette. All my games are CIB so would go for more than them on eBay.

I would never sell my copy of Paper Mario TTYD. Well until it reaches £1k 😉. It's such a charming and funny game. Color Splash on the Wii U is also massively underrated.

Anything you can hack aren’t really a big deal to own physical or digital scalpers are very happy every time you say these are expensive cause your agreeing they made the right prices you will pay them for their prices the Xbox series X PS5 are out who really cares about old gen consoles their discontinued so is the old graphics cards for PC if you don’t upgrade your graphics ever then don’t expect to play resident evil 4 remake street fighter 6 tekken 8 much more

I'm not even sure what game is the most expensive in my collection. My largest collection is for my 360 so there's nothing that's going to be unachievably expensive for that. But most games I do own I picked up cheap and then they just flew up. Ps2 is probably persona 3 fes which I paid a whacking 20 quid for back in the early 00s lol. For 360 (without checking) it's possibly tornado outbreak which I paid 3 quid for lol. That one keeps heading north in price though if I hadn't culled my ps1 collection over a decade ago I would have games that beat those such as ghost in the shell' klonoa' rival schools etc. I have pokemon blue on gb but unfortunately cart only although it's not a system I own many games for. For gba again dont know lol. I have a few jrpgs such as sword of mana' ff tactics and golden sun etc so I'll assume those have some value. My point of pride in ownership is less what a games current market price is but the difference between what I paid and its current price. Iv picked up 50 quid games for 50p and those are worth more for me than if I picked up a 500 quid game for 400. As an aside I recently (yesterday) grabbed 3 professor layton games for 3 quid each in a local charity shop which I thought was a great bargain considering they retailed for 6' 8 and 10 quid respectively in cex

If you ever come across my horse and me hit me up I need it for my collection, Crash time 5 is in 2nd place for the most expensive 360 game. It went from 50 to 75 in last few months. I just got a mint copy turned up yestetday of most wanted from ebay for £31

@@RetroGhetto yes mate near on 800 xbox 360 games. I have 1-4 crash time and when i finally had enough to buy number 5 it was sold out so i got a couple of the more expensive spiderman games instead.

I have a modest collection of around 900-1000 physical games and some platforms I don't really own all that many titles for such as the Wii or Game Boys so there isn't much to compare there. Still pretty happy with the value in my collection overall considering that I'm not too big on spending ridiculous amounts of money on games.
Managed to pick Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes up for £5 from GameStation around 15 years ago and Rule of Rose for £45 off eBay around the same time. Those are my two best acquisitions but it was a different time back then, less interest in retro games and to put it bluntly less people were clued up on the value of games and/or their potential to increase in value.
It's a struggle to find a bargain these days. 😢
