A great mix of heavy hitters and hidden gems. The Nintendo Switch is everything Nintendo needed it to be after the Wii U flopped, and has gone on to be one of my favorite all-time consoles!

This morning has been spent re-watching all your Switch content as my brother has gifted me his Switch console. Happy, happy days. I won't be going for any heavy hitters, but you've got a whole bunch of recommendations there for me to cut my teeth on. Great video as always! Would love a similar dive into your PS3 collection. I know it isn't one you go for much but it feels like one that is often overlooked on TH-cam, at least by the people I follow anyway, and it's my favourite system and the one I collect for the most 😅

Great look in to your Switch collection. I'm playing more 3DS games these days but still do enjoy the Switch, and I'm with you on Metroid Prime Remastered... I bought it on release and I really enoyed playing it for a while but then realised I wasn't really progressing and was kind of stuck in a loop, continually revisiting the same areas over and over, I put it down and have not been back to it.

Big chunk of mine are side scrolling beat emups which seem to of had a renaissance. Also I tend to get any modern retro on it.

Loved that Video Callum. As you know I’m a massive Switch fan. All told I have to say I think Ori 2 has to be my favourite so far, love Metroidvania games and it had everything I look for. One I enjoyed recently was curse of the sea rats, it was far from perfect but I liked it all the same. Keep your friends close and your games closer 👊🏼

Completely agree about Metroid prime mid way through it felt like a chore don’t remember it being like that playing it as a kid, great vid turning into a weds and sun tradition for me

Just did not like the feel of the joycons and the small buttons when it came out - I'm kinda hoping the next one will be a bit more chunky and backwards compatible so I can jump in!

You can use a pro controller as your main controller on a switch. Even when you’ve got it on the go. It’s got a stand to prop it up. The buttons on the pro controller are more chunkier and the stick is the usual type stick you’d find on an Xbox controller.

my lad has a switch, but I've never been interested in playing it as most of the games I already have for wii u and I much prefered it over the switch!
Blasphemous 2 is releasing this year. I know for sure that a physical copy is happening for switch. I want to get both of them physically on switch. The switch is my favorite. I recently got tunic physically and I got some more games coming that I had ordered physically for switch. Asterix and obelix xxl collection, wavetale, spidersaurs, ayo the clown, alwa's collection limited edition and wunderling dx. Physical games are the best. I've really been enjoying your channel. Great stuff.

I found metroid prime so hard, great collection. I got five copies of mario all stars keeping long term. I had bloodstained curse of moon 1 and 2 sold for a good profit and brought 2 double packs from playasia and still had money left over
That half pipe took me forever to get used to 🤣
I'a big fan of the Switch. I love the innovative design the the different ways it can be used: motion controls, Pro controller, handheld etc..

My most played switch game is Mario kart 8 at 130 and counting, me and the wife play most nights online for a few races, love my switch! Really wanna put more time into it tbh, immortals fenyx rising came with my switch, gonna be trying in docked mode soon. Fingers crossed!
I recently bought the switch version of Toe Jam and Earl. Its so good, although it seems pretty expensive these days.
I agree with you on Link's Awakening. I played Death's Door right after and whilst it's a different type of game, I had so much more fun.

i finished bayonetta one just today i felt pretty acomplished for beating that final boss game was so fun and only got more fun the more i played i very mutch look foward to playing bayonetta two and maybe three if i enjoy that one other than that i need to sit down and beat botw so i can get totk
For me Ninja Saviors is one of my favourite Switch games.
Felt the exact same way about Golf Story, enjoyed it until the Frisbee part and just couldn’t work the mechanics out

The thing that sucks about gaming is no matter how many games you have... you'll never have enough time to finish them all. I would love large game collection, but I can barely play through the 60 something games I have. The motivation required when you have to adult is tiring.
It's honestly the perfect console, if you ever only wanted to collect for 1 console only. It's vast library extends so far, from retro to indie, to everything inbetween. It's just been the best console to collect for to get your nostalgia hits but also first party.

@@RetroGhetto I think it'll be the last true gen of physical collecting too, we're so close to going all digital now and a GamePass/Play+ console isn't too far off, that this might truly be the last gen to collect physically for. Sad you never got on with Hollow Knight though, genuinely one of the true great Metroidvanias.
I think a lot of Switch games will be highly collectible in a few years. However, it's time for a new and more powerful one 😊😊😊

I would like to recommend Demon Throttle which is a retro style vertical shooter where you play as a cowboy and a vampire. Not too expensive, about £16 in Game and CeX. And Grapple Dog, a great pixel art platformer with a really fun grapple mechanic. That one's a bit pricier.

I bought a Switch in launch window, but didn’t start using it for quite a while, but once I did it really clicked with me. It’s no PS4, but is a great system all said.
You’re not wrong about Crisis Wing, it’s super tough and a 1CC clear would take some doing and skill. It’s a shame they haven’t at least put in a difficulty setting at the very least.
Blasphemous and Hollow Knight are some of my fans games of this generation. Yes both are tough the latter being the tougher. I’m not the best gamer, but Blasphemous isn’t as tough as you’d think, very doable. Hollow Knight is Metroidvania perfection to me. Both have sequels coming out with the one for blasphemous coming out next month. Gutted there is no release for my beloved PS4 :(.
I’m one of those folks that loves Golf Story, looking forward the sequel Sports Story.
Yeah I agree about Horgihugh. Another tough shooter. A great looking game though and a bit of a change of pace the regular space shooters.
If you like Ninja Warriors, then maybe think about tracking down Wild Guns Reloaded. Another great Nataume update from the SNES original.

Some super solid titles there. You know my love for cuphead, but Celeste is up there too as a top tier platformer. Absolutely loved bloodstained curse of the moon aswell. Beat it with all characters and with no deaths. I enjoyed it so much, you need to get it played.
Agree with hollow knight, tried a few times to get into it and it just didn't land with me. Will give it another go at some point. Blazing chrome was another that I was addicted to for quite a while. Klonoa is fun and very short. Can have 100% in about 4 - 5 hours with the first game. Just play on easy if you want to aim for the completion otherwise the final challenge will be a bit tough.
Mega man 11 easy. I struggled like anything with it haha.
Being a big Xbox person I'm ashamed to say I haven't finished the ori games.
Rime even had performance issues on ps4 so would worry about playing it on the switch.
That shaq-fu was a laugh. It's just a really short side scrolling beat em up. The trials franchise has been all pretty solid. Great feeling beating any of the insane tracks.
Def got a few more on my radar to pick up now.

@@RetroGhetto The Cuphead DLC isnt too bad on the normal difficulty. I was in a bit of a race to beat Cuphead with feed me chicken. I will have to concede though and admit he beat me to the end. I think it was the reintroduction of the yellow devil in 11 that i spent the most time on.. I'm not a big mega man player though, I've only beat a couple, but I do have the legacy and legacy x collections so will have to change that.

Shaq Fu! That's always the thing with that game on the snes everyone has ran it into the ground.. however it's really not that bad lol not great but there was much much worse on the snes lol
It's funny because I have had a switch since maybe 2018? But I've just not connected with it. If it isn't new Pokémon game to try I haven't been interested and I feel bad! 😅I use it more for playing retro games than anything modern! I have only kept Mario 3D allstars! Evrrything else moved on! Would rather play 3ds but still loving my ps4 personally. Whilst playing a LOT of ps3 again. Fav console of all time though would be N64 purely for around 10 games or less being absolute bangers. Is all I need!

I tried to play Civ VI, and after 2 min, my brain overheated and I woke up 2 days later with no memory of the first 20 years of my life. Yea, it’s juuuuuust a touch too complex for me.

Drainus is a great game, I got the limited edition also. If you liked games along the lines of Ikaruga and Gradius this is right up your street. ALso glad I am not the only one that find Mario Sunshine infuriating. The ammount ot times my missus has come into my gmaing room to see me shouting at the screen is off the chart lol, still haven't completed it yet
