People will crap on paying 200 dollars for a physical game then turn around and buy a collector edition online store for 100 dollars to play it 12 hours early then spend 200 in micro transactions and say you're wasting money forgetting you can sell it and get your money back they can't
Got Panzer Dragoon Saga about 6 years ago. It was going for $700 at the time and a local guy sold it to me for half that. He just had a baby and needed quick cash. Worth $1000 now and it’s incredibly minty.
I bought mine in 2017 for $500 from a game store , it was I’d say atleast 8.9 condition . I was aloud to put down payments on it which is the only reason why I committed but I am so happy I did . I don’t think I ever paid more for a game since
Good find. It's harder to get this kind of deal and it's rarer too as people take a notice of how much they can get. When that $1.6 million for Mario 64 on News, people notice they can get something worthwhile on video games.
My most expensive game is Castlevania Dracula X CIB on the SNES. Back in 2015 I decided to get every Castlevania games released in north america. One day in 2018, I met a friend that recently closed his video game store at the time. He knew I was collecting Castlevania games and told me he has the box for Dracula X and he would sell it to me for $160 CAD. And from there, I pieced together the cartridge, the manual and all the inserts. All in good to great condition. In total it cost $500 CAD for everything and as of today I have every Castlevania games CIB released in north america.
It's always cool to reflect on the value of these games in a collection. Personally my pricey games are Resident Evil 7 collectors edition, still brand new in the box and House of the Dead for the saturn. RE7 sold out before i could buy it retail, so i waited until i found a new one at slightly more than retail. HOTD was a game that i scored on ebay in the middle of the day during an auction for $46 years ago.
My best story is: I bought a used PlayStation 1 on eBay. The console was in a bad condition and didn’t want to open. I wanted to send it back but then I did get to open it and found Suikoden 2 in it! Worth 120€ here in Germany. What a treasure box! Of course I kept the damn console but especially the game!
Sometime in the mid 90’s my brother came home and tossed me a new copy of Earthbound. It turns out due to the lack of sales Best Buy had a ton of copies they were selling for $10.00. I still have the game and guide.
Only three games in my collection are above the $200 mark. 3) Custer’s Revenge CIB for Atari 2600, 2) Godzilla CIB for PS4, 1) Devil’s Third CIB for WiiU. Best deal was on Godzilla; it was sitting on the preowned shelf at GameStop with a clearance sticker on it. Out the door for about $15.
@@T12-e5x There isn’t much in the way of content, but it has the destroy environments and fight other monster mechanics you’d expect. You can tell it was originally a PS3 game. It’s not a good game, but it is oddly enjoyable - kind of like glam rock.
You guys nailed it. It is all about the story. I went to a community garage sale and got Ninja Gaiden 2 and 4 NES controllers for $5. The lady said her son was supposed to be there selling his video game stuff, however he decided to go off with friends for the weekend and she just wanted rid of everything. My regret, I should've just offered her a lump sum and taken the whole box. But now watching guys like you I am much wiser. Keep up the good content fellas. Cheers
It’s Kuon on the PS2, I found a lot of OG Xbox games on FB marketplace and I reached out to the person and didn’t hear back for 2 weeks. I actually forgot about it. We went back and forth and then she said she had other games that weren’t listed and sent a pic of them and there it was, Kuon in the middle of a pile of games like it was an average game. I asked her how much for everything and she said $350 (it was about 30 games total) I agreed no problem. After keeping what I wanted and flipping the rest I actually made about $50 and added a PS2 grail.
Great video. Love the stories behind the games. In the UK it's so hard to get bargains anymore. I think my biggest win is PAL Megaman X3 on Saturn. I paid £19.99 back in the day after loving X1 on the SNES. Kept hold of it and it's a pretty pricey game now. Not that I'll sell it, the nostalgia means a lot to me.
Being in the UK, while none are over a hundred pounds, I did buy Snake, Rattle and Roll and Battletoads for the mega drive as I find it interesting to see 90s games by Rare on a Sega machine - and they have risen since I got them a few years ago. Also I still have Final Fight CD from growing up- remember buying it for eight pounds brand new in the 90s so that is quiet good value now
Got my copy of Jack Bros. For the Virtual Boy at Blockbuster. My Grandpa bought me the system and a bunch of games when they were selling off all the VB stuff. I think I was 7 or 8 at the time and wouldn’t realize the gem I had till many years later. It’s definitely the most valuable game I own now!
I wanna say off the top of my head Castlevania Dracula X on the snes I have a loose copy that I bought for $190 at the time and now it’s worth $338 loose
I have Guardian Heroes CIB for the Sega Saturn, years ago a friend was just giving away his Saturn stuff (insane I know but this was before anyone cared about Saturn collecting), I had never heard of the game but thought the cover was cool so I grabbed it and little did I know what it would be worth one day!
@@johncolman2611 No. A website called eStarland. Back then their pricing was pretty good. Nowadays they can be overpriced. But they usually have a good selection of hard to find games.
Awesome vid as usual, fellas. I don’t have anything TOO crazy price-wise, but my most expensive game is a CIB Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on Gamecube. Ugh, Gamecube prices. 😭
I love when my wife and I find expensive games at garage sales and thrift stores. Got some rippers in my collection and also have sold some rippers to fuel the collection 🤘🍻🤘
Bucky O' Hare boxed (no manual, can't find it unfortunately). My best friends gave me their entire NES collection around 1996. They had moved onto the N64-playstation-Saturn generation and they said "here you go, enjoy." This is still my all time favorite game from that system. I remember ALL of it was a Christmas gift and I was completely overwhelmed, one of the best gifts I have ever received.
Another great video boys! Don't know exactly which are my most "valuable" games, but 3 quick ones; Afrika on ps3 (got it for $1), misadventures of tron bonne on ps1 (loose, $10 from blockbuster), and haunting ground on ps2 (loose, $0.25 from GameStop when they were clearing out their old games a few years ago) Keep rocking guys 🤘
My most expensive is Super Metroid CIB. I bought the loose cart first from a dude in a FB group, then I got the manual on a SNES manuals lot and the box from Ebay. Ended up paying in total $115. Worth 275-350 nowadays
My most expensive game is Pokemon SoulSilver big box CIB, at about 270 - 280ish on pricecharting. Its actually a game I've had since the Christmas the year it came out lol
This was way before Pokemon became collectible and expensive. I have all GBA Pokemon CIB games. Guess how much I got them for. $70. Fire Red, Emerald, Sapphire, Leaf Green and Ruby.
2 weeks ago i drove an hour out of town for a fb marketplace score! crusader of the centy cib for $300 (cdn) plus about $75 in fuel. not bad for a $1600 game!!
Some of my most expensive are games I got at the end of the 6th gen or for the 6th gen consoles during 7th gen, when people didn't care. Skies of Arcadia for gamecube is up there, as well as RE2 and 3 for gamecube.
Awww sheeeet yall got the tattoo with your cib punisher. $$$$$! Very nice Genesis games you have. And R-type Delta is a real classy title to have. Superb rarity, superb quality.
I'll never forget the day we got The Punisher. I can remember which on of us opened the case but the wind took the tattoo and started blowing it around the parking lot. I believe my heart stopped for about 10 seconds LOL
My most expensive game is a CIB copy of Skies of Arcadia Legends for the Gamecube. I wish i had a cool story, but i walked into a gamestore with credit and bought it.
A big takeaway from this video for me is how much fun and exciting it is to hunt and find these in the wild. One of the best feelings as you both know. I have a few of these in your list and (break out the ruler 😂) my most valuable is a sealed Harvest Moon 64 I found in a Toys R Us bargain bin in Buffalo NY in the late 90s. Take care fellas.
I used to work at Fry's Electronics and they got Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition in so I bought. My brother is a big Fire Emblem fan and he lived in Cleveland so I let him borrow it. Well one of his roommates came into his room and stole a bunch of his stuff and one of them ended up being the cartridge for Fire Emblem. So 2 years later and I so that a Gamestop had the special edition cartridge like 70 miles away for $69.99, so I rushed down and bought it.
I always wanted Einhander and R-Type Delta but even back in the day they were almost impossible to find used and they were never much cheaper than retail. My most expensive is definitely Star Fox Super Weekend I bought from SicCooper. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity after not jumping on one for $400 over a decade ago.
There is nothing better than finding a ripper in the wild. Stop at EVERY garage sale you see, people! You never know what’s waiting for you. Probably just a puzzle and some Xmas decorations but it could be Earthbound! 🤘
So I bought a huge lot of games about 350 games total and took out the games I wanted and took the rest to a buddy of mine who owns a local game store and let him pick through what I had left. And I ended up with enough trade value to buy his copy of Haunting Ground for the ps2 which is worth $400. 😊 great video guys! Keep killing it! See you at SoCal Expo in June 😊
During the mid 2000s, I was an avid PS2 guy and loved the Def Jam games. Sold them for next to nothing to GameStop to build up the PS3 collection. Fast forward much later and I purchased piece by piece the Greatest Hits FFNY coming in at about $150 on price charting now. I was super surprised the Guacamelee! One-Two Punch collection on Switch is about $80 now. While I don't have the box art, I purchased the WiiU Wolf Amibo bundle of Twilight Princess HD from GameStop who sold it in box for next to nothing. I thought I was buying the disc only game and the Wolf and box were an amazing bonus. Happy Hunting guys, loved seeing you on MJR's channel last week.
Just watched the video and I love you guys. While I'm a very casual gamer (don't collect games), I'm a collector of books and comic books. Currently hanging in my home office is Captain America #295 and The 'Nam #1. Now both books really aren't worth the paper they're printed on. But Cap #295 is the first book that I bought with my own money, and made me fall in love with the medium. And The 'Nam #1 was the only comic book my dad ever gave me money to buy. Thankfully I was able to complete the run before he passed. But what you guys said about it's not all about the value, but the stories behind. That really hit me. Sorry to ramble, but thank you for this video. Made my night.
I don't have many opportunities around here to visit gaming conventions or have many facebook marketplace sales, but one of my coworkers sold me an atomic purple gameboy color and 3 games (1 was super mario deluxe) for $40. Worth $80. One of his son's was demolishing an abandoned building where some crackheads were living, and found it there. Good condition.

Here is the top 10 games in value according to Price Charting in my Collection. 1). NWC Grey #143 (NES) 2). Blockbuster World Championship II (Gensis) 3). NES Lottery Cart (NES) 4). Stadium Events (NES, loose) 5). Air Raid (Atari 2600, loose) 6). Zelda Test Cart (5 screw) 7). Daytona USA Championship (Net Link) (Sega Saturn, CIB) 8). Zelda Test Cart (3 screw) 9). Nintendo 64 Test Cart (Rev B) 10). Outback Joey (Genesis, loose) I have been collecting since 2001 when I was a freshman in Highschool. At the start of COVID 2020, I had 3k+ games in my collection. During COVID, I sold a vast majority and now have around 50 items left, with all of them holding some historical significance in gaming history.
My top 10 most expensive games in my collection are: Haunting Ground, The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, NBA elite 11, legend of heroes 3 song of the ocean, Disney sports basketball, go go hypergrind, fire emblem path of radiance, stunt racer 64, Super bowling, rat attack. Keep in mind, I got some of these on release day for retail price and some were passed down to me. They're all complete and in excellent mint condition
Mine is the Misadventures of Tron Bonne on the Ps1. I bought it in a box lot of games at storage unit auction years ago & had no idea what it was at the time. Turns out that not only has it become super valuable, it's actually a lot of fun to play.
My most expensive is ncaa 14 I used to get every year as a kid even though it’s not valued super high but it’s definitely gained value since I bought it back in 2013
You may want to look into selling it before the new game comes out (NCAA '25.) It's hard to say with certainty but I think the price for '14 will drop quite a bit when the new game arrives. Just my 2 cents. Cheers!
I have a few expensive ones… - Bonks Adventure CIB (NES - Also have it loose) - Little Samson Loose (NES) - Earthbound CIB (SNES) - Dracula X CIB (SNES) - Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak Loose (NES) - Street Fighter II Sealed (Gameboy) - Aero Fighters Loose (SNES) - Disney Sports Basketball CIB (GameCube) - Mega Man X3 CIB (SNES) - Metal Warriors CIB (SNES) - Wild Guns CIB (SNES) I’ll stop there….. but with 4,000 games I have plenty more. I’ve been collecting for about 15 years so some of these I got at crazy prices.
@@GamingOffTheGridThanks…it’s keeps going too… - Power blade 2 loose - Sculptors Cut loose - Mighty Final Fight CIB - Hagane Loose - Castlevania Legends CIB - Panic Restaurant Loose - Jetsons Cogswell’s Caper CIB - Kuon - Rule of Rose - Cowboy Kid CIB - Chrono Trigger CiB (SNES) - Mega Man CIB (NES) - Multiples of every Pokémon GB, GBC, GBA game CiB lol…. Man if I told stories on these, I’d have to make a 30 minute long video. $10 for Pokémon CIB games years ago from Facebook, Old classmate with collection in my hometown that sold me stuff 7-8 years ago, yard sale finds (Kid Clown -$3, Mega man 7 - $2, GoGo Hypergtind -$2, etc)
I think it's a shame that prices on older games are out of control. I remember when snes ,nes,ps2 and 2 were priced fair. Now prices are ruining our hobby.
TH-camrs, collectors and resellers. That's your main culprits. It was fine, dandy and cheap before 2010. Now, Im not looking forward on collecting all those over $100 old games. I stay away and just buy current games for less than $30. Buying current games would also outweighed later on as it would be highly priced as well (15+ years in the future). It's not worth it to buy old pricey games. When majority dig for those pricey games, I go somewhere else to dig cheaper games.
Some are for sure. There is still tons of older games that are great on the cheap. We did a run of videos on building collections for various consoles for under $100 and it was pretty amazing how far you could stretch $100 on some of the older consoles.
I have games unopened that double value as of now but most of my retro games I sold and got 2-4 times more than what I paid for 10-15 years ago. I have some Ys limited edition sealed and I bought the standard game on top of it to play. Value for them been up and down lately. I really have no sold any of them. Lately I like to keep games I really like in my collection. The same goes with limited edition soundtracks as some of those have skyrocketed in price. The same thing goes for the gaming art books. The one rule I always tell people is the value is driven by who will pay the price for the game or gaming item whether it’s eBay or a collector’s shop. You have to be careful when you look on eBay at the price, preowned, and whether the item is legit. Some people sell games at a ridiculous price because they had it graded.
I have quite a few games from multiple generations. My expensive games off the top of my head are Xenosaga III, Phantasy Star Online Episode I&II Plus for GC, Brave Fencer Musashi and Diablo 1, both for PS1. All CIB. I have quite a few honorable mentions, too
When I was a kid had cleaned yards and mowed lawns to come up with enough money for a new sega cd game. I went to toys are us and was looking over the games I could afford, and was amazed at the art cover for popful mail. If I remember it was 50 dollars. And got that. Who would have thought that game is so expensive now. I got the game cause I wanted to play it and pretty much the only one with a cool art cover. There was I think lunar but looking at the back cover it looked like a side scrolling adventure game which it was, and that sold me on getting it. I still have my original copy from that purchase long ago complete with everything including the sponge thing that I suppose was to help the disc stay in place.
All of mine are Saturn games. I own a full set of Working Designs titles (no variants though). I was just a super fan of them I was a teen when the Saturn came out (yes, even Sega Ages). Also, probably Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre on the ps1 :)
Awesome video! You guys have some awesome games in your collection. My most expensive games are I just recently got super mario bros in box, devil's third, veggy world, and cyberbike.
Most expensive and impressive I've had was Clock Tower 2, got it (and syphon filter) for $20 in college from a friend before he went to jail. Sold it for $600 on Ebay. ^_^
Love the einhander story….literally same thing for me….in cd section for 1.99 complete. Already had a copy I had originally so I traded it in for some of the castlevania ds games.
I got heavy hitters. First silent hill both black and greatest hits label, all silent hills on PS2 including both black and greatest hits of silent hill 2. Resident evil long box, rival schools, Gundam assault 2 sealed, blue reflection Japan version, parasite eve 2, and dino crisis 2.
My best find was finding Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance along with a GB Player disk at the same Yard Sale for $1 each. I also completed FireRed and LeafGreen for about $20 per game And got EarthBound in a big SNES bundle for about $5 for EB.
I bought a CIB Little Samson on eBay back during the Game Chasers craze....Paid in the vicinity of $600 for it at the time in like...2014ish, sold it in 2016 for around $1100. Used the money to fill out some of my GameCube and 3DS collections among some other things. It was a terrible game and the ROM of said terrible game is free, though I never play it for aforementioned reasons, so I had no issue letting it go. For that reason, I stopped gravitating towards expensive or sought-after games. I stick to the stuff that I personally enjoy and leave the expensive nonsense to those who are as naïve as I once was. I won't make those same mistakes again. I know not every expensive game is bad, that's strictly false, but it is astonishing how many expensive games out there really aren't that enjoyable... I also have absolutely NO nostalgia goggles for the NES and I typically refer to it as antiquated and overrated, sooo....that didn't help the case in my experience of Little Samson either.... My biggest score, however, was also in 2014. I was cruising eBay and found a Nintendo console LOT that included just bonkers things like a Virtual Boy with a few games, an N64 Funtastic Smoke Black, an NES Top Loader, an SNES Jr with a handful of games, and a Black GameCube WITH the component cables..... I was just absolutely BAFFLED by this lot. I ended up swiping it for something around like $465 or something which even at that time was an obnoxious steal. NES Top Loader's were going for $100+ at the time, Funtastic N64 Smoke Black was going for $100+ at the time, the Virtual Boy with a few games was going for 100+ at the time, the SNES Jr was $75 itself and the GameCube component cable alone was $180 or so at the time. Plus I had a few games for each console, To this day, I still can't believe how that lot even happened and how it all ended up at my doorstep. I kept most of this lot in my collection for many years until I offloaded most of my collection in 2020 while I was stuck in the house surrounded by all of my stuff like everyone else. I got overwhelmed, decided it was time to let most of it go and just keep what I really wanted.
My most expensive games; Mega Man X3 Mega Man X2 Mega Man 5 Castlevania Symphony of Ths night (original BL) Castlevania Chronicles Cotton 2 (Saturn) Samurai Showdown Anthology (PS2) Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast)
A few moments myself. Devils turd i got for 15€. i once had sengoku 3 but sold it for not enough. Panzer dragoon saga i once bought for 150€ from intern money. Got panorama cotton for the sega genesis. Love the channel guys.
If you guys liked The Devil's third, I would recommend Wanted Dead. It's made by the same developers and it plays like a Xbox 360 or PS3 bad action game but it's really fun. There's a ton of weird and wacky collectibles including some really funny mockumentary cooking show videos, yeah it's hard to explain that you just sort of have to play it.
My most expensive game is Castlevania Symphony of The Night for PS1 which goes for around £500 here in the UK, but I bought it brand new back at release in '97. Also have PS1 Parodius and R-Type Delta which I also bought new in the nineties, plus Raiden 3 for PS2.
The most expensive game in my collection is Chrono Trigger for the SNES. The box is in rough shape, but I have the manual and all the inserts. I don't really have an exciting story. It was probably a Christmas gift, back when the game was new. The second most valuable game in my collection is the original Persona for PS1. After playing P5, I wanted to play the earlier Persona games, and had been on the lookout for the first game. I found it in a bargain bin at EB Games! It was something like $10. I knew it was rare, but had no idea how valuable it was until I decided to put my collection on Price Charting and saw what it's going for.
Got cubivore when I was 12 yrs old visiting my grandparents in Queens Nyc. No one knew why I would pay 69.99 on a used gamecube game.but it Looked so unique and different will remind me of the time I i spent visiting my grandparents growing up. Silent hill prices will be 🍌 after the new ones release.😂
Nice! Time will tell on the Silent Hills. A lot of the RE games held their value after the remakes came out. Also.....keep in mind we are talking about Konami. I'm very skeptical that they will nail these remakes. I hope like hell they do though. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
I have quite a few just because I'm a gamer that's been around awhile, but most expensive is probably Pokemon Box on the GameCube. Complete, unused sticker for the memory card. Grabbed it while in NYC at the Pokemon Center and didn't think it would become some holy grail.
My most expensive is Panzer Dragoon Saga. After hearing how good it was, I picked it up for $350 several years ago, thinking I could sell it after I beat it if I needed to. I'm really glad I got it then rather than now for $1000. Chrono Trigger is also up there. I called my local Target almost every day back in late 1995 or early 1996, and one day they finally had it. I had to sell my CIB EarthBound to pay for it. Finally the first Persona game on PS1. I picked it up for $50 at my local used game shop maybe 8 years ago, before Persona exploded with P5. It's going for over $300 now.
I hung on to my original copy of Haunting Ground for the PS2 when I bought it new in the early 2000s. As with all my Silent Hill games. I bought Fox Hunt on PS1 for $20 at Midwest Gaming Classic years ago, before it jumped up in price for whatever reason…
Mine are all in my neo geo pocket color collection. I have a full set and many of them are sealed. They really dont have a going rate to them. So incredibly rare. I recently sold one to a collector in Italy for $1100 called Neo Pocket Tennis (sealed) but my most valuable is probably Magical Drop Pocket sealed.
Great episode guys. Price Charting tells me that for me it is Bad Conkers Day CIB, then SMB CIB, Def Jam Fight for NY CIB, then Power Stone 2 for the one and only dreamcast.
My 2nd most expensive game is MK Trilogy for the Saturn, this local Magic/Card shop (I don't play magic) , which has a small retro game section got ahold of a number of Saturn games, and I didn't skip the chance to score the good ones, you never see big selections of American Saturn games in the wild at stores like this, also scored Saturns Tomb Raider (not so expensive tho) lol
Man what a video!!! Fantastic as always! Where do you guys get the game cases (like for NES, SNES, etc.) from? I know you have said it before in a previous video and I went back and rewatched a shit ton of your library and I cannot find the answer. Thanks guys!
I got E.V.O on Snes in a bundle of boxed super nintendo games. They come from a video store that shut down. The boxes were all a little sun damaged, but it was still an insane pick up. With all the disc games that come with the pick up i paid around 2 bucks for each game.
Einhander ps1, radiant silver guy SEGA Saturn, Disney spots basketball GameCube & all version of ncaa football 2014…..nice video guys the best of the best
People will crap on paying 200 dollars for a physical game then turn around and buy a collector edition online store for 100 dollars to play it 12 hours early then spend 200 in micro transactions and say you're wasting money forgetting you can sell it and get your money back they can't
Sometimes those collectors editions only contain a download code.
Or spend $200 on Starbucks!
You must be talking to some pretty dumb people
I paid over $200 for Border Down CE for DC. No regrets there.
People who buy collector editions TRULY mystify me.
I don’t think I ever paid more for a game since
Wow. Awesome! I missed out on Saga and picked up House of the Dead as I loved lightgun games as a teen. Shame, lol.
Like my complete bonks 3 i got mine for 325 complete with box ,manual and plastic tray ..it's going for about 800 or so complete
I rarely see them going for $1000 on eBay. May be a few years ago, not so much now.
Going price now is like around $700
@@tom11zz884 - European copies, maybe. You can’t get the NTSC version in good condition for $700. It’s still a $1000 item.
I found Silent Hill for $1 at a yard sale. Definitely in my top 10.
Love this! True blessing in disguise
Sometime in the mid 90’s my brother came home and tossed me a new copy of Earthbound. It turns out due to the lack of sales Best Buy had a ton of copies they were selling for $10.00. I still have the game and guide.
Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike for DC and Einhander for PS1 both cib are my most expensive games
Nice! I keep thinking I'm going to find Godzilla just chilling at a pawn shop or something one of these days. No such luck yet....
How does Godzilla play?
Cheers
That Silent Hill(s) Grab was EPIC. Nicely Done. Tip of the hat. 🎩
Dude I was losing my shit when I found those games LOL!
Also I still have Final Fight CD from growing up- remember buying it for eight pounds brand new in the 90s so that is quiet good value now
Halo 3 Legendary edition - Around £200 but it does come with a Master Chief helmet!
Hell ya! Nothing beats Free.99!
Panzer Dragoon Saga is the most expensive game that I own. Got it back in the early 2000's. Paid 191+ total for it. Boy im glad i got it back then lol
Did you buy off ebay 20 years ago?
@@johncolman2611 No. A website called eStarland. Back then their pricing was pretty good. Nowadays they can be overpriced. But they usually have a good selection of hard to find games.
Power blade 2 for $3 at a flea market as a kid will probably be my coolest snag
Hell of a score!
I had this too. I paid $5.00 but unfortunately sometime over the years I sold it for next to nothing.
Awesome vid as usual, fellas. I don’t have anything TOO crazy price-wise, but my most expensive game is a CIB Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on Gamecube. Ugh, Gamecube prices. 😭
Appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed.
I love when my wife and I find expensive games at garage sales and thrift stores. Got some rippers in my collection and also have sold some rippers to fuel the collection 🤘🍻🤘
Nothing like finding a great deal in the wild. Cheers!
Don't know exactly which are my most "valuable" games, but 3 quick ones; Afrika on ps3 (got it for $1), misadventures of tron bonne on ps1 (loose, $10 from blockbuster), and haunting ground on ps2 (loose, $0.25 from GameStop when they were clearing out their old games a few years ago)
Keep rocking guys 🤘
My most expensive is Super Metroid CIB. I bought the loose cart first from a dude in a FB group, then I got the manual on a SNES manuals lot and the box from Ebay. Ended up paying in total $115. Worth 275-350 nowadays
I have Castlevania BloodlinesCIB cardboard version . Had no idea it was worth that much. My favorite Castlevania that I've completed
My most expensive game is Pokemon SoulSilver big box CIB, at about 270 - 280ish on pricecharting. Its actually a game I've had since the Christmas the year it came out lol
Nice! Pokemon stuff is wild. Always holds it's value too. Cheers!
Damn that is nuts!!! Definitely worth it
Some of my most expensive are games I got at the end of the 6th gen or for the 6th gen consoles during 7th gen, when people didn't care. Skies of Arcadia for gamecube is up there, as well as RE2 and 3 for gamecube.
Gen 6 was so damn good!
I managed to score Haunting Ground for 15 euros, it was from an old stock at a game store, so it was brand new, sealed:)
Holy hell! That is amazing!
My most expensive game is a CIB copy of Skies of Arcadia Legends for the Gamecube. I wish i had a cool story, but i walked into a gamestore with credit and bought it.
Nice!!! We found that in a dumb bin a few years back CIB. I'm kicking myself for selling it.
LOL!!! It's all about the journey for sure!
I found crusader of centy cib for the Genesis for a $ 1.50 at a thrift store On half price Monday.
Damn! Super Weekend is a grail for sure
There is nothing better than finding a ripper in the wild. Stop at EVERY garage sale you see, people! You never know what’s waiting for you. Probably just a puzzle and some Xmas decorations but it could be Earthbound! 🤘
Indeed! The hunt is the fun part for sure. Cheers!
I think I need to dig through my games and see what I might have! Can't wait to see you guys in a couple weeks at MGC!!!
Lookin forward to it brotha! Really happy we aren't vending this year so we can just enjoy the con.
I LOVE episodes like this one! Keep it up boys!
Glad you enjoyed. Cheers!
Persona 3 Reload Aigis Edition on PS4 200 Dollars 💸
Mine would be Final Fantsy Pixel remaster ESRB version for PS4. Bought from square enix store for $75 +$25 shipping. Worth $900 now.
That game has been nuts. Really surprised they didn't release it retail
A GameCube with the official component cable at a Goodwill in Pasadena, CA for 29.99 was best pick up I had.
You guys make the best videos...hopefully you can keep us entertained for many more years to come! 😁 And nice Metal Jesus Rocks cameo.
No plans on slowing down here. We are having a blast doing what we do. Cheers!
Saw you guys on MJR latest vid and have been watching loads of videos since 🤙🏻
Hell ya! Glad you found us. We really appreciate the support! Cheers!
Awesome story man! Really appreciate you sharing. It's all about the journey and the memories along the way for sure. Cheers!
That old video of devil's third by you guys, I was able to get the download b4 the servers dropped😅😊
Good job snagging it!! It was way cheaper digitally when the shop was still open
A few years ago, I picked up a loose copy of Go Go Hypergrind at a local Goodwill for $2, then later got the case and manual off of eBay for $80.

I have been collecting since 2001 when I was a freshman in Highschool. At the start of COVID 2020, I had 3k+ games in my collection. During COVID, I sold a vast majority and now have around 50 items left, with all of them holding some historical significance in gaming history.
If you guys are trying to value your top 10 games should you include collector's editions or just single games?
Idk. Good question. For our collection we don't have any collectors editions so it wasn't an issue for us.
Tetris on the game boy lolzz 🦎🦎
yes! wiiU follow up vid!
We definitely need to get one of those out. We have a lot of videos in the works right now but hopefully by summer. Cheers!
Time Crisis 4 Guncon 3 bundle complete. Got it from a buddy for helping him move!
Hell ya! Love that game. The Guncon 3 is rad a hell!
Sculptors cut bought for $150 in 2012 and cib mint Chrono trigger I got in a lot years ago
Mine is the Misadventures of Tron Bonne on the Ps1. I bought it in a box lot of games at storage unit auction years ago & had no idea what it was at the time. Turns out that not only has it become super valuable, it's actually a lot of fun to play.
digging the editing...nice job....got Rule of Rose for $165....pretty sure its worth alot more
It is indeed. Hell of a deal
Cheers!
I have a few expensive ones…
- Bonks Adventure CIB (NES - Also have it loose)
- Little Samson Loose (NES)
- Earthbound CIB (SNES)
- Dracula X CIB (SNES)
- Flintstones Surprise at Dinosaur Peak Loose (NES)
- Street Fighter II Sealed (Gameboy)
- Aero Fighters Loose (SNES)
- Disney Sports Basketball CIB (GameCube)
- Mega Man X3 CIB (SNES)
- Metal Warriors CIB (SNES)
- Wild Guns CIB (SNES)
I’ll stop there….. but with 4,000 games I have plenty more. I’ve been collecting for about 15 years so some of these I got at crazy prices.
Damn! You have some rippers dude!
@@GamingOffTheGridThanks…it’s keeps going too…
- Power blade 2 loose
- Sculptors Cut loose
- Mighty Final Fight CIB
- Hagane Loose
- Castlevania Legends CIB
- Panic Restaurant Loose
- Jetsons Cogswell’s Caper CIB
- Kuon
- Rule of Rose
- Cowboy Kid CIB
- Chrono Trigger CiB (SNES)
- Mega Man CIB (NES)
- Multiples of every Pokémon GB, GBC, GBA game CiB
lol….
My most expensive games in my collection would be Silent Hill 3,Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the Dreamcast & Cannon Spike also for the Dreamcast.🙂
Some rippers there! Cannon Spike is so badass!
Awesome editing in this video‼ Fun topic, and a great way to reflect back on our collections, to admire those amazing finds in the wild.
Appreciate it. Robert has been on fire with his editing for sure. Cheers!
Damn! That is a ripper for sure. I actually just got a Sega CD. Only 5 games so far. I don't know that I'm going to go for Popful Mail though. Cheers!
Nice!
Love the einhander story….literally same thing for me….in cd section for 1.99 complete. Already had a copy I had originally so I traded it in for some of the castlevania ds games.
Cheers to that! Good ol’ Einhander!
I also completed FireRed and LeafGreen for about $20 per game
And got EarthBound in a big SNES bundle for about $5 for EB.
My most expensive games;
Mega Man X3
Mega Man X2
Mega Man 5
Castlevania Symphony of Ths night (original BL)
Castlevania Chronicles
Cotton 2 (Saturn)
Samurai Showdown Anthology (PS2)
Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast)
Wii u prices def hiked when the store closing was heavy in the news cycle. Would love to see some more game hunting videos from you guys
We’re hoping to get some hunting vids rolling once the weather gets nice and garage sales start popping off. Cheers 🍻
A few moments myself. Devils turd i got for 15€. i once had sengoku 3 but sold it for not enough. Panzer dragoon saga i once bought for 150€ from intern money. Got panorama cotton for the sega genesis. Love the channel guys.
Appreciate it! Glad you are enjoying the vids. Cheers!
I’ll be snapping up a copy!
My most expensive game is Castlevania Symphony of The Night for PS1 which goes for around £500 here in the UK, but I bought it brand new back at release in '97. Also have PS1 Parodius and R-Type Delta which I also bought new in the nineties, plus Raiden 3 for PS2.
Warcraft Orcs & Humans (PC) new in the $5 bin back in the day. And scarface for the original Xbox.
Nice! Scarface is a damn good game.
Really glad to see you on the latest Metal Jesus Rocks video!!!
Definitely a rad opportunity to be asked to be apart of it. Cheers!
For a second we were thinking of AlphaOmegaSin! 😆 That would be awesome as well.
Well the exciting part is that you kept it all in tact all these year :)
I’m praying to the retro gaming Jesus you’ll do more Saturn content, but also Jaguar and 3DO so I can get yall in a collab!
We've got some more Saturn stuff in the works :)
Cheers!
Top notch video guys. My most expensive game in my collection is Canon Spike for the Sega Dreamcast CIB
Awesome game right there!
Robert ZORTMAN?? I didn’t see that coming!
Yep! That’s me🍻
Great episode guys. Price Charting tells me that for me it is Bad Conkers Day CIB, then SMB CIB, Def Jam Fight for NY CIB, then Power Stone 2 for the one and only dreamcast.
Great list! Always nice to find some games for way less than retail value!
Thanks a ton! This video should point you in the right direction. Cheers 🍻!

@@GamingOffTheGrid oh shit! Thanks guys! I have no idea why I did not think to look for a video that possibly had that in the title 🤣
I got E.V.O on Snes in a bundle of boxed super nintendo games. They come from a video store that shut down. The boxes were all a little sun damaged, but it was still an insane pick up. With all the disc games that come with the pick up i paid around 2 bucks for each game.
I thought I was the only one that liked the first Castlevania game the best
There's at least 2 of us out there!
The Stone cold Steve Austin was strong in this video! 😂
😂!
Einhander ps1, radiant silver guy SEGA Saturn, Disney spots basketball GameCube & all version of ncaa football 2014…..nice video guys the best of the best
