Some people can afford to buy a brand new one but some people like discounts so they look for the demos /use ones this will knock a few dollars off the price .you got to realize these cars sit on the lot months at a time they're not moving in sells as they expect so the dealers put demos

Unpopular opinion: It's like a Cayman vs Boxster debate. I would have the Cayman 100 times over vs the Boxster. This is personal and not many people will agree but to me a performance/sports car should never be a convertible. I would seriously prefer a Cayman to a 360 Spyder and also prefer a 360 to this car solely because its a car you can take the top off. I got to drive a 911 and a 360 Spider at a track day event, though not fast, and much preferred the fixed-top 911. You are not going to make me pay to remove a top on a car which should never be down in the first place.

Nicholas Dobos I only wish it was cost effective (and safe) enough to use on all the windows on my car. It would really help keep things cool in the car. Tint always sucks since it’s enough not dark enough when parked (or illegal) or too dark at night, especially without street lights.

Those "flying buttresses" are see through to minimize blind spots.
The theory there is that when seating in the car and looking over your shoulder, you don't just see a solid piece, but have a see-through panel.

I agree. I have one simple rule when it comes to buying sports cars. I never buy a hardtop. It has to have t-tops roadster convertible or some kind of removable top. Hard tops are boring

Yep. Not to mention, it's a 'glasshouse' compared to the grim, blocked out world of usual Supercars. This Car is so Iconic and stunning in so many ways, people cream themselves over old tin cans (badly made ones at that) like the F40; then this comes along and beats it for Speed, looks, Practicality, Outlandish features, maintenance & running costs, build Quality. The 720S is truly a Masterpiece (and I usually don't even rate McLarens)!

Nice Mac Laren 720 S Spider. I like the sunroof glass that darken when pressing a button. I like the retractable gage cluster, I like the infotainment screen and I like the automatic hard convertible roof.

What's funny is that ten years (or however long ago) when they launched the MP4/12C or whatever it's called, they talked at length about establishing a proper dealership network with availability of spares etc.

However, he said he had No problems with mclaren And they were offered very nice deal for him (but didnt say what kind of deal)

Doug, the transparent panels at the buttresses are fro rear/side visibility. I own a 2020 Spider and it's a very nice feature.

It doesn't really lag, at least not as much as it may seem on the video.
It has to do with the camera being at a different framerate than the infotainment screen.

Hi Doug, been a fan and subscriber for quite some time absolutely enjoy your videos, you’re actually instrumental to my wife’s purchase of her BMW i8, thank you.
I’ve just ordered a McLaren 720s spider, You have done two videos of this car one coupe and one spider, you’ve been stuck in the sport series with the cloth interior which personally, I’m not a big fan of.
I ordered the lottery package which is Full leather even around the cupholders, there should be a law against putting fabric around cupholders.
A couple of quick notes on this wonderful automobile.
1) The glass flying buttresses, have two actual uses first being, it helps we can figure airflow down the side of the car as the areo has been compromised due to the top being removed. Secondly they are made out of glass to aid with visibility and reduced blindspot while doing shoulder checks, I discovered this myself while driving a demo version.
In closing I would like to say I absolutely enjoy your Videos and the way you present them, I’ve told many people about that you are my number one go to car review person, and I do believe a few more of my friends are now your subscribers.
I hope one day perhaps you will make it up to Vancouver 🇨🇦 to review our car, inclusion I’d like to wish you all the best for the future and with your family and with your career. ✌️😊

The 570s is the competitor of the Huracan and the 488...

Not exactly, the 720s maybe is in the aventador and f12 tdf category, but the 488 pista actually fits in here al lot better than the 812. The other 488 versions have to be excluded, as well as the f12 and the 812.

Doug I have the coolest job I am a longshoreman out of the Port of Baltimore and I've personally driven the Senna, 720s, 570s, and 600LT. Very cool cars. Along with High end BMW, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Land Rovers, and Jaguars !
You can borrow my 07 Altima. It’s pretty unique, the passenger side mirror cover is missing and I ditched my three remaining hubcaps years ago. And if you’re caught in the deep desert my doors store a rather significant amount of water after a good rain. The proximity key works...most the time. Oh and I installed a 7” DVD player with a parking brake override so you can watch movies while driving.
